The first time I entered Void elf starting area I was baffled and amazed how unique this music piece was compared to *anything* in World of Warcraft. They captured the atmosphere perfectly while making a very out of the world-ly feeling.

I love how you can hear nightsong and sunwell plateau but distorted, I think that's an awesome touch
Aden O'deorain For the first minute you can hear the opening notes of nightsong and at around 3:40 you can hear ambience from sunwell plateau hope this helps :)

I like how the music in some parts sounds like it's being played backwards. Really fits the insanity of the void.

Not gonna lie, this is probably my favourite ambient track in all of WoW right now.
something about the string *"pull"* at 1:35 makes it magic.
its like the void is trying to mimic the sounds of what music sounds to them, its distorted and twisted in a way that sets the atmosphere/theme of the zone, blizzard art and music team are always top notch.
I fell in love with this the very first time I heard it. It's so unique with a sort of mysterious/eerie feel to it, much like the void elves themselves.

Kilo I feel the same way, I've played a Blood elf Paladin ever since wrath as a main but dang if I'm not having a blast playing a void elf warlock instead. My very first blood elf in TBC was a warlock so this toon is quite the throwback. I don't remember why I even swapped mains in WotLK now but I'm playing that void elf more often now.

This is unlike anything I’ve ever heard in WoW before. It still has the familiar elements but with new sounds. I stopped playing cause I just don’t find the game fun anymore but DAMN do they deliver in music every damn time.
Honestly this music alone made me wanna roll a void elf first. I was livid when I first heard that horde would be getting nightborne, but now I don't care. Gimme that void elf baby.

Listening to this soundtrack at night, in a dark, silent and cool & windy environment, really an amazing experience. Always loved dark, mysterious but yet soothing soundtracks, and this one is top notch for me.
The music is one of the reasons I main a voidelf now. Truly a masterpiece of a race!

I get that people don't like them, lore-wise, but you can't deny their whole aesthetic is dope.
Exactly what I thought about them. "Man, who thought of that silliness?" - "Blood elves are too iconic with the Horde by now, they don't fit with the Alliance!" - "They were just going for the edgiest possible elves, weren't they."
But f*** me, their music is good. And, though edgy, they look kinda neat. Also, their racial ability might be the coolest. Like, ever.
I've rolled a void elf. My criticism still stands, but I am happy nevertheless.
@@droewsy5192 I do not like the void elves as a concept, and I especially do not like that they are part of the Alliance. They belong to the Horde thematically through and through, more so than the modern blood elves.
But in the ideal world they should never have existed. The Alliance should have got half-elves instead or something
Im not so deep into lore and all, but void elf for Horde and nightborn for Alliance wouldve been fine to me :)Also fine with the way it is now tho, since im a void elf.
This was Blizzard's compromise to people's demands to High Elves. Lore wise there is no justification for High Elves to exist as a playable race because they either died off or became what is know today as blood elves. It's just funny how the Alliance of the old rejected them for being fel corrupted but now they messed with the magics of the void (which could be possible more dangerous) and Aundwin welcomes them back to the Alliance. That's like playing a forsaken death knight to be raised up by Arthas against your will just to fight free of that control again. Weird stuff but hey I love the aesthetic of the void elves and yes I know they are literary a reskin of blood elves.
@@Chittysushi They were never rejected because of the fel, Varian and Lor'themar were in good terms before siege of Orgrimmar, and.. they were talking about the sin'dorei rejoining the Alliance. The High elves are not dead. As an example the high elf population in the Alliance right now (wowwiki) is 20 000, 16 000 beeing the number of all races that are now in Orgrimmar.
And yea.. the Alliance is not cool with the void elves. Try to enther the cathedral with one. And they really do make sense lore-wise if you pay attention :P

Fits the Ren´dorei perfectly. They themselves are unique, different and kinda alien to Azeroth. It´s only fitting that there music sounds similar.

I find void elves to be a nice addition to the game
This is my favorite piece of music in WoW so far. It reminds me of something Sci-fi and also Borderlands 2.
I'll admit I thought that void elves were a bit of a left field choice for an allied race but dang do they have ambiance.

Just heard this as I have never played a void elf. Thank goodness for 10.2.7 questline because this theme rocks. Sounds so mysterious and fits the void perfectly and definitely has me hyped for War Within now!

I as a void elf spent all my time in the rift while in BG quere, just embracing all the ambience, sitting at the edge of a cliff... Disgusted at the thought of while I'm sitting here, a fully armored void elf female warrior, sitting peacefully... There's other female void elves getting slapped around by a horsecocked draenei/nelf woman at goldshire...disgracing my people.
Still a better love story than Twilight.
Blizzard did heinous crime by giving Alliance degenerates and perverts ours astonishing Belf models. It was certain this will happen.

Kaldorei (children of the stars) - night elves
Quel'dorei (children of noble birth) - highborne and high elves
Sin'dorei (children of the blood) - blood elves
Shal'dorei (children of the night?) - nightborne
Fal'dorei (meaning unknown, possibly children of Falanaar) - "spider elves"
Ren'dorei (children of the Void) - Void elves
Wow (literally)

also,the choice of the instruments was rather ingenious.loving the music box/glockenspiel elements and those weird sounding stringed instruments,they sound so much like the insanity of the void

Sad but true but maybe they might gain some more potential throughout further plot progression,
The reason for them being part of the alliance is rather simple. Silvermoon exiled them and shunned them, Whereas the alliance, Under alleria's suggestion, Welcomed them. I suppose it would've made more sense simply to give the alliance high elves, But i think void elves are a fresh addition.

I've always played Horde, so I've not unlocked the blue team allied races.
This music is lovely, even while the lore of the void elfs isn't really a thing ( considering they were only manufactured to balance out the Nightborne's acceptance into the Horde )

If you look at the map, you can see there are some islands or pieces of land that you cant reach or go to yet. Whatever blizzard has in plan, they're probably gonna be in use some time in the future.
You technically can, next to the emissary theres a void portal that takes you right to there. You have to be a void elf to have access tho, obviously

I like the void elf music. It shows void elves' agony and the gentle wave of darkness of deep sea and the space.
Shadowlands drops in about 13 hours. Listening to this and getting excited to take my Void Elf into the new xpac.

Yeah, but you still have to be exalted in four reputations to be able to start their quests and play as them.
zombiefriend are you sure? All the videos I have watched stated that you just got a quest to go to your factions embassy upon logging in (after pre purchase)
Afaik, you have to have the achievements for being exalted with the High Mtn, Nightborne, Argussion Reach, and the other one on Argus.
How can you not be exalted with them if you played Legion? It doesn't take that much effort. I'm a very casual player who plays a little now and then but I'm exalted with all major Legion factions on 2 characters.
Why is the twisting nether section where Telogrus rift is so purple and void-ish compared to Niskara Mardum and Dreadscar rift? They seem green...

To all of you who thinks this is a new race,no its not its just the remmants of the High Elven people turned into Void Elves... but they simply never left being High Elven addicted to magic like all the Quel'Dorei.
Actually, it's a small sect of blood elves who were banished from Silvermoon for studying the void. And if you really wanna get into it, the void elves are likely ex-sunreavers. After the purge of Dalaran, the sunreavers took up residence in Silvermoon. Aethas being forever at odds with Rommath, left the sunreavers feeling estranged from their kin and homeland. It makes sense for them to have delved into the void as a source of power to survive such troubled times, and push them into joining the alliance, just like Alleria.
There are High Elf Wayfarers in Telogrus Rift looking to become Void Elves too .
That is true, Christian. There are also High Elves in Telogrus Rift. Meaning that they could also become Void Elves. I have no idea why, but a lot of people have no knowledge of this detail.

The light shouldve been all alliance and void shouldve been horde. I get "they were exiled" (from the blood elves? lol they practice fel) but it makes no sense that theyre accepted by the draenei, lightforged and humans priest/paladins. This some good music though.
The difference between fel and void is that void induces insanity, which is why the sin’dorei didn’t allow it
