Awesome video! Thank you so much for taking the time to explore 6m0d6 and demonstrate strategies so clearly and entertaining. Intro is just icing on the cake :)
What’s great about this content by mylarmelodies is that he’s fascinated with the modular synthesis equipment and therefore on the right path of achieving his modular goals!
Too much wiggly random sounds has been my view of modular rack systems in recent years, for the most part people don't show off the musical aspects as much as the novel aspects of their modules, much to my dismay as complicated predictability is super satisfying for the listener as you say, it gives the listener a framework within which they can identify and categorise sounds and patterns, making the experience of immersion so intense. Although most aren't as good as you at making things sound good
Woaaah 🤯 so much gold in this video! Makes sense though that as you have shorter drum patterns you can really start to throw the patterns about! I hadn’t really thought about that approach and my goodness midi control over that module is BONKERS! How you’re able to cram so much helpful ideas in one video, I’ll never know but will be so grateful!
@@BlackMan614 just bought one from Schneidersladen and I'm in the US. Ended up being cheaper than Perfect Circuit even with shipping and it'll be hear in 5 days
I dunno - I think you can do a lot with a little! But no question that a computer is the ultimate tool for sequencing/sonic madness (hence the last section of the vid)
@@mylarmelodies when I sit at a computer I want to just watch GooTube… I mean RUclips. Modular for the win every time if you have the wonga. Every day is a new sonic experience. Mouse clicks always produce…. Mouse clicks.
Love your videos and podcast. I was just talking to my friend about always learning something new when rewatching your old ones. What are the cable management thingies on the rack screws?
Thanks meight!! They’re Gammalite Nest tamers, decent and they flex (I was worried they’d be snappable, but nope): www.signalsounds.com/Gammalite-Systems-Nest-Tamers-Eurorack-patch-cable-clips
I am that one person.
Which one person ??
That wants to hear a twenty minute drum solo@@kay_lpzw
No me😊
Ohhh man, those snares/metals make me wanna buy one. And the fact it's midiable it crazy
What’s wrong with random/ Euclidean rhythms?

Amen
any more 6m0d6 in the works? Looking like they are sold out everywhere and I've got a hankering for one now.
@@mraymond77Schneider, thomann or Tubbutec directly, elevator or signal sounds too
@@kay_lpzw sorry should have been more specific, haven't seen any in US stores. But actually I found some sites selling them. I'm a special boy.
Yes: the M on the snare noise selector stands for metal. There was just not the space to write it out.
Ways Freak To Drums 🤯
Perfect album title.
When I hear you laugh out loud, I know you LOVE this thing. High on the 'what I want for christmas list'.
Not to mention the holy wtf omg.

Wish they made this in 1/2 the HP. I have officially run out of rack space 😂
So… is this module really available? I’ve been on in-stock email notification for a year now.
It is available directly from Tubbutec, Schneidersladen and maybe Signal, Elevator, Perfect Circuit
@@kay_lpzw Perfect Circuit is where I have my preorder. So.. .no.
This is unfortunate, but beyond our control. You may contact them about this (maybe an error in their system?) or order directly from us... Sorry

I wonder if theres a module that exists where you can program in a progresion of beats to be adressed with knobs like the MI Grids...
"getting more techno"
I should hope anyone who owns a National Sound Corp. TShirt would consider this a good thing. 🤖🙏🏼💜
❤😂
I could listen to you talk about music gear all day!
You just did a video giving my whole game away ;) - btw the crosspatch trigger sequencer is an excellent match
Cool NSC T-Shirt he has
Makes me wanna get into eurorack.. sick sounds
do... not... do... it :)
For the price of a single eurorack module you can get a permanent max/msp license. Much more rewarding investment imho
@@jfcfjcjfq lol yeah, budget at least 10x the price of this module to make something “complete”

oi! I thought you were gonna get on the actual box and show some weird variations of traditional x0x programming. also this is great.
That would be fun too, noted
TBF if you Midified it the last bit would apply. Can you mod them with gate ins?!

Great demo that makes me want to play some music! 🤙

Freeek The Beeetzz
Honestly, as much as I think Doepfer is underappreciated, it's still one of the furthest things from "freak" in Eurorack.
Freak is a patching style!
@@mylarmelodies Fair enough. Modulation is everything.
Maybe I misssed something - but how are the step sequencer and the 6mod6 connected? Ribbon on the backside?
Yep! A tiny little cable
