Headsup, Relic made an announcement just a few hours ago that they're going independant and leaving Sega - in the same announcement they also updated the release date for patch 1.6 including the new battlegroups to April 2nd, so you get to enjoy them in just 5 days!
The new supply truck run ability shows that Relic is really trying to create new things instead of just remixing the same abilities across different commanders. Each battlegroup almost feels like a sub-faction all by itself. Edit: Although ya, the reinforced resource cache ability is a bit of a rehash.
Curious to see what the balance changes to USF and Wehr are gonna be. If we assume PzGren Kompanie gets some buffs to PzGrens and StuGs I think they'll be a good answer to emplacement spam since you have both the PaK and the Nebel. Throw in some buffs for Grens and maybe a fuel cost increase for the Wirbel (and maybe the StuG depending on how much it gets buffed) and I think they'd be in a good spot. Oh and more coastal nerfs ofc
Worth noting that it seems like the DAK tree has an exclusive choice between 3 abilities. Incendiary AT, Advanced Ambush, and Operation Scorpion seem to be competing with each other and you can only pick one. Its interesting how they are playing with the tree if that is the case
CoH 1 had the Bofors and the 17 Pounder as a buildable by default in its base game. Glad to see them return, but would have been nice to have it be done the same as COH 1 had it. Good overview!
@@elpern Okay in practice I'm not really sure if we're getting a CoH 1 Flak 36 88mm situation again where it can freely rotate 360 degrees, or would the crew still need to manual turn like CoH 2 PaK 43. Still judging by the base 25 pounder howitzer it kinda seems like they'd still need to manual turn...but honestly could go either way, or maybe something in between where they'd still turn automatically, but still need to do the tear down and setup animation.
They ensured in the same announcement that progress with coh3 is business as usual, and that they remain committed to CoH3. Whether or not it impacts the amount of support CoH3 recieves we don't know, but given that this expansion is featuring free battlegroups I think thats a good sign. Curious if these stil would've been free if they remained with Relic
Light AT gun sounds great. Especially since light vehicle spam has been the meta so far. Definitely help out early on when overwhelmed by flak tracks and ostwinds and stuff like that. Also, I think booby trap was said to be 15 munitions. I really feel like axis need help early game. They damn near can’t compete early game. 2 Stuart’s are available so quickly it’s almost criminal. What am I supposed to do for German AT early ?!
Moving tank camo was trash in 2 tho? This BG is busted for other reasons, like the free resources from tanks dying or looting tank wrecks for guns which sounds hella busted

Yooooooooooooo huge news thx Elpern!
Fk yes!!!
Holyyyu
supply truck mechanic is really cool!
I like both of battlegroups, my 2 favorite factions are finally receiving some new content.

No way DAK got the ghost division ability meme

You got a keen eye, but this is most likely not the case and just an error on the end of whomever made those graphs

CoH2 kiddies need to put some respect on CoH1 😤
Had totally forgot about this tbh
Coh 1 British engineers could also over-repair
and bofors thank god dont have supression, because in coh2 its trash(imo)
It would seem the 17 pdr emplacement is using the 25pdr gun chassis....which makes it able to turn 360 degrees!
Sounds strong 👀

It should be using the pheasant mount for 360 traverse
Also if a Subterfuge beacon is in your territory, it lowers the capture rate of enemy units.
DAK get Protoss tech. Noice
I wonder how this will effect future updates and the life cycle of the game

Meanwhile Steel Division 2 giving us 10 divisions with new units for the same price. XD
Price? its free my düd
@@elpern
damn how generous
20:00 Coh1 Commandos > Coh2 Commandos
supply truck is basic AOE trading
and DAK have ability loot weapons
The dak battle group seems silly and having alot of units/tanks hidden is just silly. sry
Id rather have fun battlegroups than lame ones like Wehr's coastal
It finally worth getting coh3?

This is really cool bbut i really hate goliaths
Why are they bringing back moving tank camo, did they learn nothing from 2?

Dak so bad WTF
Why is the g43 symbol from coh2 on a british unit? Is this game still in beta?
I think its supposed to resemble a scoped lee enfield, though they do look very similiar
this game is so bad man
then leave
Agreed 😂
think you man
fuck this bees of shit game
Crazy talk. The game is super fun and getting better and better
dak battlegroup sucks need atleast 4 new units !!!!!!!!! sturmpanzer 1 bison, panzerjager antitank, panzer II
All of those are just worse versions of vehicles DAK already has.
why did you name a bunch of units that are effectively in the game already
