These graphic commands aren't very FORTHish. Years ago, I wrote my own FORTH interpreter along with Turtle graphics package for it. Though there were global variables used, they were mostly like environment variables. The word "poly" in my system (along with all graphic words) took its parameters from the stack rather than variables.
