No buttons anywhere just a clean minimalistic look with all controls being on the big dash computer. The only thing I wish they did is some ambient interior lighting, which I will be installing myself soon.
The model 3 is a great car: compact, efficient, and faster than a loaded out mustang gt. ICE fanboys need to realize that even if they don’t like tesla (which is fair given who owns the company) electric cars are the future

Only nice thing about those vehicles is the camera system, but you can get dashcam setups that can do the same and more for cheap now.
@unforgiving266 I don't need or want my car to drive itself, nor do i care for all the 'tech' tesla has. Even if I did, plenty of other manufacturers have similar or better tech. Also, regenerative braking has been around for a while now, so that's really not a big deal. There are also plenty of vehicles with similar torque and speed that I'd trust way more than a tesla. Handling is also not something they really improved on, so that point is moot. My buddies 30 year old miata can handle better than a tesla I bet. But please, do keep on licking musks boot, it's quite comical.
While I really like some of the features they have, I’ve driven them before and it just doesn’t feel right. Idk if it’s just me but there’s such a delicate balance that needs to be maintained in order to keep it at the speed that it needs to be. The pedals’ sensitivity is almost too much, it’s like if I want to slow it down a tiny bit it goes down like 10 mph because of the regenerative braking even when it’s on low, and when I want to slightly accelerate I put the amount of pressure one would expect but then it ends up speeding way up like it wants to take off. It’s just not my kind of car
It infuriates me when youtubers conflate criticism and attacks/insults. Tbys might be harsh sometimes but as far as criticism goes, his videos were tame Except his videos on Noah. He went for the jugular, which in this case was totally warranted

The thing is that a lot of these features are available on other cars already but not known. A lot of cars especially the ones based on Android Automotive like Polestar have length of charging in the estimation and shows how long you’ll be charging during planning. Automatic charging authentication is also quite common on the cars. The only difference is that it requires a one time authentication or to be turned on while Tesla’s is on by default. Incident recording via parking cameras is available on Mercedes and BMWs for example.

I like to take a break in the middle of a long drive to recharge my Tesla, stretch my legs, and get some fresh air. It's not good to sit in one position for too long, so I think it's a good idea to get up and move around a bit. It also helps to clear my head and make the rest of the trip more enjoyable.
I have a friend that just got rid of their Model 3 because it spent way too much time at the repair garage. Everything from driver door not opening that took engineers to work on, screen that froze, power seat that wouldn't work, and the worst was when it wouldn't drive forward and only backwards. Elon has said over and over that if you want a reliable car then don't buy a Tesla.
Even though I like those things (I’m more a flat six kind of guy), I would 100% buy a hybrid; or if I had to choose an EV it would be the Ioniq 5. Some comments make it seem like it’s impossible to like a car simply because it’s quiet, despite a lot of high end luxury cars making that their primary goal. Nor does every car on the road have a turbo v8. I doubt that would even make a good daily. In regard to Tesla specifically, I don’t like the over-minimalistic ideology. But I love electric cars like the Ioniq 5 or Porsche Taycan.
The problem with Tesla is that they used to be innovators and industry leaders, but now every other company has caught up, and in some ways, surpassed them. You can get better built cars, with the same features which are just as good and sometimes better than tesla, for a similar price.
You can buy a dash cam for $50 bucks, finding charging stations is very easy, software in other new cars is totally sufficient and also come with a reasonably sized to screen. Not to mention they look much cooler and more unique while the cool factor of owning a tesla is entirely gone. Oh and you can find Tesla on almost every list of most unreliable car brands
1) Yeah, you have to buy it separately which should be outrageous in this day and age. 2) Finding charging stations is easy but Tesla is still by far the largest operator of fast chargers. 3) Yes, they may be sufficient but not as good as Tesla. 4) "Coolness" is subjective. 5) No, you can't find Tesla on almost every list of most unreliable car brands. Which list are you talking about? I have looked up like 10 different rankings and none of them have Tesla in it.
Tesla build quality is still basura and the some designs don’t make sense. Next time you’re around a model, open up the hatch and you’ll see the water after a rainy day or car wash and two spots on the bottom trim will fill up with water that can spill into the cabin. The cameras try, but it still needs a lot of work. Another weak feature is even though you have cameras all around, with the front camera you cannot live view for parking. I’ll hand it to them that the prices are dropping and becoming more “affordable” for some models rather than dealers jacking up the prices.
yeah i rented one for a trip, it made me drive 45 min out of the way to charge the first time, then it told me i needed to detour over an hour out of the way in the wrong direction the next time i needed to charge
My main issue is the INSANE cost to repair and the fact that you can't do it yourself. I've been working on cars since I was 9 and still do everything I can other than tire balancing, state inspection, and alignment. It would be ridiculous to me to purchase a vehicle I myself could not easily fix, or feel like its something I wouldn't want to start taking apart because its expensive. I love cars, but I just can't understand spending so much money on any car when at the end of the day its a piece of machinery that deteriorates and you will never ever get the money back that you paid for it. Also you can't actually play Cyberpunk 2077 on the center screen like they claimed in the beginning, otherwise I might slightly want one for that reason specifically 😅
I would still rather wait to buy from a different manufacturer than tesla. That goes for all EV’s. Its still very new tech (compared to ICE) and their value plummets. Some EV’s have a lot of potential, but i want to wait until the dust has settled before investing.
I wouldn't buy any of the currently available EVs personally but I do have the say that electric powered vehicle technology is actually very old and is understood just as well as ICE's are. This is because electric motors have been powering things like trolleys and trains as well as high performance RC cars for a very long time. The REAL issue is the complicated software, batteries are inefficient when you scale up in weight, and major charger issues. No matter how good it is, you're 1 update away from a catastrophic failure. And they can pull an Apple and update your car till the point that it gets slow and annoying to use untill you give-in and buy a new one.
@@jrod1577 yes, also to mention is that we have had decades to perfect different engines and mechanical parts, and EV cars were put on the back burner for a while. Still not convinced. Add to that the reputation of Elon and his love for firing people
I would still rather wait to buy from a different manufacturer than tesla.
