Awesome job on the beat yo! I'm currently working on making my kick patterns for my boom bap beats more interesting and this video helped me get some ideas. Great sample selection and chops too.
Thanks a lot, appreciate it! I don’t wanna say I’m terrible at laying down drums, it’s just my way of doing them and I often make simple patterns, nothing fancy. I would say that I focus more on my sample chops to get the swing/mood I want.. if that makes sense?
@@BoombapArt yeah it does. I always lay down a super simple drum pattern as well so I can focus on my chops. But I’ve noticed that I rely on the same drum pattern for most of my beats so I’m tryna switch it up. lol
Thank you 🙏🏻 It’s a great keyboard, it doesn’t feel as premium as the MK2 with the metal body, a bit plasticy 😅. I wish it were better integrated with Maschine software tho.. but that’s just me!
Hi! I'm wondering about the quality of the beat sound in arturia mini lab 3 or let's say in maschine mk3, if we talk about neo soul hip hop music? I know, it's a completely different range but that's the most question I have
Hi. Good question. I actually use the MiniLab 3 with the Maschine Software, so I guess the sound should come out identical.. but if you use any other DAW I’m sure it will sound slightly different with both the MK3 or the MiniLab.. but if we talk about the controllers themselves, I would pick the MK3 over Minilab all day every day. Arturia makes great keyboards, but they’re behind the competition when it comes to pads. I hope that answered your question. 👊🏻
@@kasonhaug2900 I could do that. I do have a sampling tutorial on the channel how I sample into the Maschine software from vinyl.. and when I’m not using a standalone device I’m using Maschine software as my DAW. What DAW are you using?
Amigo una pregunta, si se vende una instrumental con un sample, se podría tener problemas legales por derechos de autor? Me encanta el sample pero no se hasta que tipo es fiable en la venta de beats o si es mejor empezar la creación desde 0
Hello friend. The short answer is Yes, could get in legal problems.. not sure if it falls on you as a producer, it’s more likely that the person/label who decides to release the song needs to clear the sample. One solution would be to use a service like Tracklib to get the sampled cleared, or make a beats from scratch.
@@BoombapArt Yes, it works super well with the script that comes with fl studio but you must have the latest version for it to work correctly. All the best
How are those micro monitors working for you? I heard some people hear a rattle sound when the bass gets too low. Has this happened to you at all? Thanks.
No issues whatsoever. I rearranged my setup recently and switched back to my Yamaha HS7 and use Micro as my TV speakers. Works great! If you turn the bass up really loud and sweep you can probably identify where/when the rattling appears.. but as I said, I haven’t experienced any of that rattling.

Nice! How did you chop and organize the sample? Was it randomly generated or did you manually chop it?
I chopped up and organized all the samples inside Maschine software. Always manually, no cheating allowed 😉👊🏻
Great beat ! How do you this? With wich software,...?
Thanks. Been using Maschine software pretty much all the time.
@@BoombapArt Thank you ! Ableton Live 11 Lite is an alternative?
@nlekartoos5305 I’m sure Ableton works as good, or any DAW for that matter. 👊🏻
it seems like it pretty easy for you to press on the pad, did u change anything regarding that?
No changes what I remember
What type of bass did you use? The vst… respect from argentina
Think it’s a stock vst, Reaktor.. preset called “just bass” 👊🏻
Could you maybe should how you mapped each sample to the keys and how you sampled. This stuff is confusing for Beginners

Everything super but milk to filtered coffee? And even more to the one from Moccamaster?! Cheers and thanks for the (music) inspiration 🙂
I drink 50/50 with/without milk.. after I removed my gallbladder my stomach got a bit more sensitive.. and on average I drink like 7-10 cups a days

Short but dope but short tho 😊
