Thanks a lot! A useful video at last! Compared to all that "reviews" where they try to sell the helmet, you did a great job with showing the value in the longer REALISTIC! use. Great Job!
Got it as my first helmet, then sold it and now i got second the same for gopro and new rpha 1 for non go pro use. Love the rpha 11, one of the best i ever got. 🎉
thanks for your review it was very helpful, I was going to buy one but after watching another review I was not sure, it was mentioned it was a race /track day helmet. I ride a rocket 3 would you feel it would be suitable for a cruiser and how do you find the noise, thanks
Although it is the top range helmet from HJC line up and yes it is used for race/track, I would still say that it is a helmet you can use daily (which I do), the noise levels wise it decent, it's not super quiet, but also not annoyingly loud.. If you get the matte colour versions it probably suits the cruiser better than flashy race graphics.. Happy shopping!
@@thesighbored seems like it. Hahaha my Ls2 helmet is around 2 or 3 yrs as well but it has so many deep cuts on the paint, the liner is kinda funky as well. Might need to change soon. It's also the wrong head shape.
I got issue with the cheek pads emergency (red tabs inside). It always slide off from the pads whenever I took out my helmet. And gotta put it back in every time. To solve the issues, I just tape it (upper part) where it suppose to be removed when in an emergency. Not much but it does help slightly. That's the only issue I had. Overall 2 thumbs up.
Why did it come loose, did you use the emergency tabs before? I think those tabs are like a one time use, since normally no one will reuse a helmet that had been in an emergency situation after that.. If you didn't use it before, perhaps talking to HJC dealer might help sort the pads issue..
The issue is between the Tabs and cheek pads connections. It easily slide of from the cheek pads (plastic where the tabs slides on and out). And what the dealership said was, "You could put a bit of superglue (a drop) between the Tabs and cheek pads to prevent it from sliding off" I don't want to take the chances so I just tape it instead.
Is it the same with the RPHA 11 pro? I'm confused with the naming. Here in my area they sell RPHA 11 no pro in the name and also RPHA 70 no st in the name.
Not that I noticed.. Noise is average, but for long distance better if use ear plugs.. I have done a few trips and kept forgetting to bring the plugs, bearable but would be more comfortable if I had the plugs.. Thanks for viewing!
@@thesighbored From a safety standpoint your helmet should be tight if it is so tight that you can't wear it then it is the wrong size and or head shape. Yes there is some breaking in but if that foam is soaking up sweat and being compressed over years it is no longer functioning as it should which means it's not going to properly protect you in a crash also the cheek pads from all sizes fit in all the shells of this helmet so if you bought a large and it's too tight then buy some x large pads they will give you extra room and still function properly, please do this at least. In the end it's your helmet and ultimately your head I'm not arguing or telling you what to do I just want you and everyone else to be safe out there
Just bought it 2 months ago after watch review from revzilla.not really heavy compare to any open face like kyt arc.value for money and it performed well.
How does the TTC fit for you. For my case, the TTC M size fits a little loose, I wear S for RPHA11 but I think M would be fine for me. So I don't see any reason to up the size, best if you can try at the shop to know how the size fits and feels.
It's a custom made mount, there's no link for it but you can find the shop that did it, just look for RPHA11 motovlog setup on the channel, details are in that video description..
Noise level is fair, it's not quiet and it's not too loud. If you are going to use it for long duration at higher speeds definitely wear ear plugs. Otherwise for regular daily commute and short trips I don't use ear plugs with this helmet.
The RPHA 70 ST and the RPHA11 share the same visor, so you can buy a smoked RPHA11 visor and fit it onto your 70. Check with your HJC dealer about getting the smoked or tinted visor..
I leave the top vents open but chin ones are fully closed.. I don't feel such airflow over my face.. Is it coming up from under the chin bar? Do you use the chin skirt?
@@thesighbored So I just tested helmet with hair dryer, airflow is coming from place where visor is touching rubber seal, when closed. When I push visor with my hand it stops.
Looks like you got a bad visor rubber seal around the visor.. Try make sure the visor is properly installed, if the gap is still there need a replacement seal can check with the dealer and see..
@@thesighbored Just experimented with those visor screws and I think I fixed the problem. Will wait for better weather to test helmet. Thank you for advice! ;)

Brother, I am asking you about the HJC RPHA 11 Size. Is there any seller who sell this type of HJC helmet on SIZE S (small) ? Because, I have got a problem when I am looking the size that I want it (SIZE S / SMALL SIZE) at Online Shop there is no any merchant sell that size.. They only sell just 3 sizes, M - L - XL.
Hi, yes there must be S size available, maybe those seller did not take S or finish stock for S. Unfortunately I don't know of online seller for HJC, but if you go to website like Mudah.my (Malaysia) you can see S size for sale.. Try to find the authorised distributor for your country to ask..
I believe the sizing is pretty much OK not counting unusual head shape.. Personally took S but M would have been fine too because my measurement is literally on the dot between end of S and beginning of M..
If you get those tear-off strips like those they use in races maybe might help but other than that I don't think there's any way to avoid the stone chips, replace the visor if it is too chipped.. Better the vid or take the hit than your face/eyes..
How do the pads break in? I'm between medium and large. I need a little break in for the medium, but too much and the large would be sloppy. (I currently wear a shoei x12, medium, loosened up a lot with wear and fits perfect now.)
Not impressed with the wear and tear honestly. My other HJC helmet (a cheaper one) is like 3 years old and shows no signs of wear. Do you use it every day?
