Sports talk was sooooo much better when it first started and there was 1 host taking calls from fans as they called in.
Now it has morphed into 2 hosts and a producer who LOVE to hear themselves talk, arguing endlessly with each
other about the same silly nonsense day after day. Our local sports talk station in Philly has become impossible
to listen to because it is nothing but relentless opinions supported by nothing but the ability to hang up on people.

Are you referencing WIP? The late night shows are still like that with 1 host taking calls, I like Rickie Ricardo, Tom Kelly, Rob Charry, among others.

What I WILL agree with is that there have been brief times during LeBron’s career where he SHOULDN’T have been considered even a top 5 active player... albeit brief.

    1. Kobe won his 5th ring in 2010, less than a month after this call. James was embarrassed out of the playoffs in the conference semis, his last series (or the first stint) in Cleveland. At the time he had no rings, and very little legacy of coming up big at clutch moments. I'm not sure I'd have put Kobe ahead of LeBron, and certainly most of those other guys weren't and LeBron was an all-time great even in 2010, but the hosts are giggling at this guy. What is so hilariously funny about rating Kobe, one of the top 10 players of all time, ahead of him?
    2. Larry Bird's prime, from 1983 to 1988, might still be the greatest prime of any NBA player. There's a reason he is still referred to by his first name 30 years after his retirement. Again, one can make the case that he isn't top 5 anymore, and he may have been passed at SF by LeBron, but he's still....top 8? Again, the sports guys are mocking this decision. Compared to who, exactly, does Bird not deserve to be on someone's Top 5 list?
