JJAM is my favourite on this album because it is so fun. It's a play on words. Jam as in a jam session (Changbin said the extra J is to make it more "sticky" so just pronounce it with a bit more omph). It also sounds the same as Jaem which is Korean for fun. Dori dori / jam jam are Korean expressions used on kids to encourage them to move. And they showcase each of the subunits (3racha, Danceracha and Vocalracha) by giving them each their own jam session within the song. And of course the literal meaning of Jam - using it for the idea of being so sticky that it attracts and sticks to you. Their "Jam" being their attractive force. Ppl think Friday the 13th is a hint of something dropping on Friday the 13th.
Friday the 13th is either in September or in December. My guess is that their second album will drop on December 13th. That probably means we’ll get a “bad luck” type of comeback (related to the teaser of this album)
This is classic SKZ from the word play, to the genre mix, the sick choreo, the message, and the freaking awesome horror comedy visuals😂. Glad they helped end your day better. You are most welcome in Stayville!!!
Welcome to the stay family. So many stays have said they found Stray Kids when they had a rough time in life and how they and their music sort of saved them.
TBH Friday the 13th could be an Easter egg. There are two more left this year, and they’re sneaky like that I love your sincere reactions, honestly we love watching people fall for Stray Kids, but never feel pressured to like a song that isn’t your cup of tea! At least, personally, I wouldn’t judge or be offended by it, but rather be touched by an honest/genuine reaction. Looking forward to more! Can’t wait for the guide reaction too lol I’m excited Thanks for taking the time 🙏
Totally agreed with you. I just love seeing people discovering Stray Kids & their crazy (in a good way) music. As long as it’s genuine & respectful I don’t mind if reactors not liking any of their song or music… everyone is different & it’s totally ok to have a different taste & opinion ☺️🫶🏼 Just enjoy your journey in STAYville
I agree! This isn't my favorite song in the new album. Not a bad song, and I understand why they chose this to do a music video, but i like "I like it" way better 😅
Okay new STAY, first WELCOME to Heaven on Earth! Stray Kids have touched/saved many lives. I could go on and on about their numerous attributes that make them all very special, but instead I'll just make a suggestion. Consider watching some of the SKZ Code, SKZ Talker, or SKZ VLOG episodes to get to know these talented men better. I promise you'll laugh a lot and fall deeper into the Stray Kids rabbit hole. They are Great for making you smile on a bad day. ❤
This is a Changbin speciality, I think he also said he'd been in a bit of a song writing rut and this was the song that got him out of it. He's such a wordsmith and everything has double meanings, all his rap lyrics will have wordplay e.g. in Chk Chk Boom there is a part that sounds like he says 'Neil Armstrong' but he's actually saying, 'kneel, I'm strong'. He's super intelligent and intentional.
So I have a recommendation... it's not a music video.. but for their albums they like to release trailers... my favorites are.. Oddinary Main Trailer 3 min 30 sec. (intense sound design; thriller type genre) Thunderous NoEasy trailer (so much fun like a superhero movie) ATE Trailer (slapstick comedy)
Eventually you should react to a skz(stray kids) guide .. i recommend chandoras world guide 2024... Its hella long but we STAY love to see people react and will be here for it! Felix is how most of us got into skz so we know the appeal of that deep voice angel. Btw WELCOME TO STAYVILLE, ONCE YOUR HERE YOU WILL NEVER LEAVE....
What a nice surprise to see a new skz reaction video!!!! To my fav song on the new album!!! Im here to pile on more songs to react to lol. I really love "side effects"anf "hellevator" is the first song they released as a group- so i think its great to see how far theyve come! Fair wairing at that time they had a 9th member(left the group like a year in due to personal reasons) but the song is great!!! They hadnt even debuted as a group yet(hadnt been confirmed). And anothersong i want to promote is "cheese"! If you like jjam im sure youll love cheese!!!
It's the complete opposite end of the spectrum, but "Gone Days," and "Get Cool" are so much fun. Also, the "N/S" music video is so endearing as a long time STAY... You get to see them just be their ridiculous selves. (Plus I love the song.)
Honestly, when I discovered SKZ, I was definitely at a low point in my life! I watch them pretty much all day, every day! They bring me so much joy and happiness! I'm definitely someone they saved! Chan is just the best person ever! I love them all, but he holds a special place in my heart ❤️
This choreography is impossible not to smile when you watch it. The Stray Kids yt channel has shorts where they did different versions and challenges to the choreo and they wee all so fun 😊
So there's gonna be a friday the 13th in september and there's gonna be one in december. It's probably an easter egg. Both in that this song is horror themed and they'll probably drop/do sth at either friday the 13th. There's almost no coincidences with stray kids. Yesss we are embracing youu. We love sharing our love for these guys. Can't wait for you to get to know their personalities, they're SO FUN.
I don't know how I keep forgetting about "Lose My Breath" written by and featuring Charlie Puth... One of my favorite songs this year as far as pure vocals go.. The M/V is also an editing masterpiece.
You should probably be made aware that some Stays have a problem with Charlie Puth in this collaboration, so if you are going to listen it might be worth watching just the Stray kids singing it live sat down. That's amazing.
Subscribed! Just watched 3 of your SKZ reaction videos back to back, they are so genuine, you are so fun to watch! Welcome to being a stay! Seriously, I found them in mid 2024 and it’s been down the rabbit hole since. Their music lifts me up on the bad days, and on the good days it’s just fun, motivating, makes me feel like I can do anything! Love them so much and so happy that the bug bit you too!
Im so glad they helped your day get better. Thats one of thr things SKZ does for all of us on various occasions. ❤ Well.... now I'm wondering. There is a Friday the 13th in September & December this year. We are waiting for a special release this year, sooooooooo. 🤔
Welcome to Stray Kids being therapy. Kingdom made me see Stray Kids beyond just music videos. They are true creators/artists/producers/dancers. I recomend you watch Wolfgang from Kingdom and if you dont mind covers, the cover they did of SHINee's Sherlock they did March 29th this year live was flipping fantastic.
I love how you appreciate all aspects of the mvs! You point out dance moves and vocal/rap parts that you like, you make your own little interpretation of the meaning, you appreciate some visual elements of the mv, notice fun instruments or parts in the music itself, and share your thoughts very naturally. It's really fun and enjoyable to watch your reations!
So JJAM is literally just jam. The double J is supposed to make it sound "sticky" 😂 Sure others have given you a breakdown of the members and what roles they hold within SKZ, but here's mine: Bang Chan (or Chris) is the leader of the group. Stray Kids was sort of his brain child (with permission from their label) and it's often joked that he is the dad to seven kids. He is also one of the three 3RACHA members that make up the production unit of the group - they write and produce all their own music and I think he's like nr4 in Korea with how many songs he has registered to his name. Lee Know, main dancer in the group. The one line "I know, you know, Lee Know" is a bit of a inside joke. It's been used in other songs as well. He's part of danceRACHA and they have a lot of input in the choreography. TASTE is a danceRACHA song that's worth watching. Make sure you get one of the stage performances. Changbin (my personal fav) is one of the main rappers and part of 3RACHA. He said in the album intro that he was in a rut and wrote JJAM to remind himself to have fun. He's the one with the punchy rap parts. Hyunjin, danceRACHA and also starting to get a bit into writing and producing. If tou want to watch just him dancing, he was artist of the month on Studio Choom here on RUclips a couple of years back. He's also a phenomenal artist - drawing, painting , etc. Han. Last member of 3RACHA, and the other main rapper of the group. He has an amazing singing voice as well and is called an all-rounder because he can basically do everything. 3RACHA were semi illegally putting out music before they even debuted 😂 He has a few solo songs as well, all very good and worth a listen. Your boy Felix is up next. The literal sunshine of SKZ. Everyone finds Felix first. His deep voice normally catches people's attention causing most to do a double take (voice and visuals don't match) Stays refer to it as the Felix Affect and it's very much real 😂. He's part of danceRACHA and one of two Australians in the group (Bang Chan is the other one). Felix doesn't just do the deep voice. You can hear him sing at the start of "Stray Kids" which is also a song on the new album. Seungmin, main vocalist. His voice is insane. He wanted to be a baseball player when he was a kid, but injured his shoulder and decided on idol instead. You can check out his solo live performance of "love poem" and also a song called Phobia which he dit as an OST for a webtoon I think. Last up, IN. The baby bread of the group. He's the second member of vocalRACHA. He's got a pretty unique voice and in the past he was a bit conscious of that. But he's grown so much, both as an artist and a person and honestly it's what makes him stand out in all their songs. So that's all of the members. Even though they have "assigned" roles, everyone can basically do everything. It makes Stray Kids a very versatile group, and an absolute joy to listen to. I'll def be following your journey of discovery. Love watching people enjoy SKZ. P.S. Good on you for hanging around for the "Stray Kids everywhere all around the world you make stray kids stay" 😂 our second slogan is "Stray Kids world domination". Completely off topic, watch the M/V for Red Lights 😂
Loving all the content and daily videos you’re putting out. Appreciate the honest reactions, great job man. I think I speak for myself and many others when I say you have found a loyal subscriber in me 👍
Yes I love all your observations and catching the fun aspects and meaning behind the music!! I’m so enjoying all of your reactions to SKZ, even if I’m not commenting on every video too! If you like JJAM in terms of fun-ness I’d highly recommend Item(no mv unfortunately, but there are lyric videos and live performances), and Domino (which only has a very short video so I would also highly recommend watching a full lyric or performance video with it as well!)
The song's name is pronounced "JAM." In case you're interested, here are a few great 3Racha songs (heavy on rap). Remember, 3Racha was formed by Bang Chan, Changbin and Han before Stray Kids was formed. They now serve as Stray Kids' main writing and production unit. But they've also written great songs for themselves, too. Again, this is just a sampling. Scene Stealers
Also....the members of 3Racha had "rap" names. So in the lyrics for Scene Stealers and some other early 3Racha songs not listed above, they call themselves by their rap names. Bang Chan - CB97 Changbin - SpearB Han - J.One
Sorry......I forgot the video links I gave you for 3Racha (the song) and Heyday don't have English lyrics. Here are some better links: 3Racha (the song) ruclips.net/video/cHLm_Gkcchk/видео.html Heyday ruclips.net/video/LjPoOb0dt8s/видео.html (^^^^^^ the person who made this lyrics video added their own music at the end. To avoid it, stop listening at the 2.23 time stamp.)
If you ever have a chance, look for fancams (off camera if you need the lift in your day) of their Very recent performance at Lallapalooza in Chicago. They headlined the second night. Just imagine Jjam performed live. They know how to have a great time on stage while interacting with Stay. Oh, and welcome to Staydom, it's going to be a wild ride. Stay are always thrilled to answer your questions, it's one of the things which Chani (BangChan our fearless leader, aka Chris, aka Chan, aka Daddy Chan).
So some recommendations based on what you've said and your preferences. If you like the Spanish influence in Chk Chk Boom check out Maknae on Top (is just I.N, Bang Chan, and Changbin). There is a video for it on RUclips but sadly no captions. For more rap heavy try Topline and Side Effects. If you want ones that just feature some of the group I'd also recommend: 3Racha (again more rap heavy, sounds a little more grime) - Bang Chan, Changbin and Han Red Lights - Bang Chan and Hyunjin Taste - Felix, Lee Know, Hyunjin Also if you like the dancing Hyunjin has dance videos for Play with Fire and Motley Crew that are really cool. Hope this helps!
oh man youre probably overwhelmed with requests but i cant help but want to throw these in the ring - First Take versions of both Slump and Mixtape: OH!
The way you pointed out FRIDAY THE 13TH, thinking it might not be an Easter Egg. I checked, and the next Friday the 13th is literally next month! There’s definitely something going on and we just don’t know it yet 😭
i would recommend to watch a stray kids guide. I’m sure that you would enjoy it and it would probably create even more connection between you and them 😊
Jjam means ‘fun’ in korean. Their wordplays make sooo much sense if you know korean and it’s genius how they play with languages too. For example you got no jjam means you’re not a fun person and it’s kind of an insult way like it means its not fun to hang out with you
Korea has double consonants that so they’ve written the Korean pronunciation out in English letters. JJ is just pronounced as one “J” sound in English. StryaKids also have another song on their No Easy album called SSICK - again because in the Korean they wrote it with the double S single but the English pronunciation is just “Sick”. SSICK is an excellent song but the way. I would recommend you schedule full album reviews. Also as someone who is into music, I recommend watching any of their album into video where they talk about the tracks. They are on their RUclips channel.
jjam my favorite song from this album it's always so much fun to listen to. please listen to "slash" it's the ost for the new deadpool and wolverine movie.
After u listen to some of their songs I would really love to see u do a reaction guide for Stray kids so that u can get to know them better, they're just really funny, ridiculous, & does random things that cracks u up. Aside from that they're really kind, caring,& wholesome human beings some of the members are a part of volunteer organizations like Lee Know who supports rescuing organizations for animals and Felix who became a part of UNICEF and helps in checking up childrens, giving vaccinations, teaching,& plays w the children( u can see that he's genuinely happy and enjoying the moment too). As I've said from ur other videos, u can react to Maniac, Lalalala,Topline, Back Door, Easy, Miroh and for the sub units u can do Surfin, Red lights, & Gone Away. Overall they're that group who have everything, being a talented, silly, and a lovely group.
IK Friday The 13th goes w/the horror theme in the mv, but I wouldn’t put it past SKZ if they also used it as a forward-looking easter egg for the possible release of their next album this year..like dec 13th? (since 5-Star&Rock-Star were released 5 months apart last year) 🤔🤓🙂↕️
JJAM is my favourite on this album because it is so fun. It's a play on words. There is a video for it on RUclips but sadly no captions.
For more rap heavy try Topline and Side Effects.
If you want ones that just feature some of the group I'd also recommend:
3Racha (again more rap heavy, sounds a little more grime) - Bang Chan, Changbin and Han
Red Lights - Bang Chan and Hyunjin
Taste - Felix, Lee Know, Hyunjin
Also if you like the dancing Hyunjin has dance videos for Play with Fire and Motley Crew that are really cool.
Hope this helps!
oh man youre probably overwhelmed with requests but i cant help but want to throw these in the ring -
First Take versions of both Slump and Mixtape: OH!
The way you pointed out FRIDAY THE 13TH, thinking it might not be an Easter Egg. I checked, and the next Friday the 13th is literally next month! There’s definitely something going on and we just don’t know it yet 😭
if you love dubstep so much, you should check out their "Freeze". you'll gonna love it!
i would recommend to watch a stray kids guide. I’m sure that you would enjoy it and it would probably create even more connection between you and them 😊
I watch so many reactions but yours are so cute i love them i can relate so well 🥰
This is the short comment your looking for 😂
Stray kids= All rounder aces group
I really love a skz song called Yayaya! It doesn’t have a mv but it has a lyrics video ❤ it would be fun if you’d react to it
Jjam means ‘fun’ in korean.
Check out the dance practice and live performances for this song, they are so good!
If you like the dubstep, check out "Side Effects". It's another catchy dubstep beat. It's a music video/song back when there were 9 members.
jjam my favorite song from this album it's always so much fun to listen to. please listen to "slash" it's the ost for the new deadpool and wolverine movie.
JJAM so good
After u listen to some of their songs I would really love to see u do a reaction guide for Stray kids so that u can get to know them better, they're just really funny, ridiculous, & does random things that cracks u up.
Also my favourite from the Album. If you like this, try item and domino (no MV).
