@@TheOutFitI am in the process of making a chicken mansion..solar powered.. when it's all said and done it will have 1500 watts of solar a/c to beat the Texas heat .
Your truck is looking FANTASTIC! In the TGB1314A ambulance, the rubber "bungee" and external hooks above and below the windows were used to secure the plastic blackout window covers. When not in use, these covers would be stored just inside the rear box side entry door. Most all TGB1314A truck rear boxes I have seen were equipped with the 4 gallon petrol tank and had the heater hoses running between the back of the B30A motor and the rear box heat exchanger. They all come with the electrical heater control panel wired in place and even have the petrol heater exhaust pipe in place. The heater designed to go into the outside heater cabinet was the 24V Webasto WP1021. Not sure why SKAB, the rear box coachbuilder did not install that heater in all the TGB1314A trucks. When I could not locate one of the original units, I chose to install a brand new 24V Webasto diesel Thermo Pro 50 Eco coolant heater using the original plumbing and wiring. Not only does it heat the rear box quickly but preheats the B30A on cold mornings before startup. Makes for a much happier motor.
Great info Jim, thank you very much for the wealth of insight :) Really cool truck that
This looks absolutely amazing!
You guys are by far the most likeable people on youtube in my mind!
Thank you for always bringing smiles to my face!
Magnificent. The skills you have developed Chris are just amazing me. What a great job. So good to see your vision come together because I could not quite see it until today. I am so happy for you all that it is working out so well.
Such a nice comment to read, thank you so much for following along Daniel!
I drove the Dallas jeep in the Swedish Air Force during my military service. There is one with just a truck bed as well :) The only aircraft we towed with the Dallas was the SK60. The JA37 Viggen we towed with tow truck 959, Volvo F-85, or the newer tow truck 9621, Volvo FL6.
I have to confess that you have really taken the Swedish Army's wearer Tgb to something outstanding, really good job.
Thank you so much. She's starting to take shape
ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! I don’t comment enough but I envy the life you 2 have build for yourselves. This TGB is stunning. I was reading the comments which I never do and wow!!! You’re a smart guy and obviously assessed the potential risks before walking under the tent. I think if the tent fell off you would have done more damage to the tent. Great seeing Ang getting amongst it, although I know 90% of her time would be spending with Oakley. Keep smashing it guys, wife and I love your videos.
Bloody beautiful, what an amazing job you’ve both done 👏👏👏👏
wow that looks amazing guys, job well done. cant beleve how much space there is inside now.
cant wait to see the fit out of the camper
Thank you so much for the nice feedback Craig, it means a lot!
That looks amazing. One of the best looking builds I've ever seen.
That's a really nice compliment, thank you so much for taking the time to comment!
Fantastic work, congrats on some excellent workmanship, looking forward to seeing the finished product, cheers from Australia
Thank you so much for watching and for the nice feedback, much appreciated!
Your hard work is starting to pay off, can’t wait to see where you take it. Well done guys, from Perth W.A 👏
You have created a beautiful truck it’s been a hard slog but look at what you have created, you are going to have some wonderful family memories in that truck.
We have literally rescued this vehicle which was sitting for years in a barn, it's very satisfying seeing the transformation unfold. Thank you so much for following along!
Salty licorice ice cream is the best! :D
I'll pass sorry 😄
I think its a very Swedish acquired taste :) we Swedes love it
We Finns love it too.
Tines: you were right that's what they are called.
Also, it's a Tonka truck thing thing Chris. First time driving a fork, you feel godly 😅😅😅
Dooooode NEVER walk under a slung load, saying that though would 10 years ago Chris and Ange have attempted anything like this? Well done to both of you for massively stepping out of the comfort zone.
My inner forklift driver is having major stress at the moment.
NEVER walk under a suspended load ☠️
Don't use hands or other body parts to adjust the position when lowering, ropes, or tools always.
Good that it worked out for you both. Oakley needs both Dad and Mum as long as possible.
Well impressed with the conversion and build quality 👍
Impresive maneuvering placing the pop top 😱 well deserved corona 🍻 for both of you!! Thanks Chris for showing us all the military jeeps
👌🏼🙌😀
Thanks so much Marcia 😊 That Corona never tasted so good
Wow you have to be pleased with that! Great job guys❤
Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment!
OMG what a transformation ,u guys are going to have so much fun not that u haven't already .Looking forward for more ...love from downunder
10/10 for patience and caution during that lift. It takes a calm mind not to rush that, I am really enjoying the comparison with True Blue Travellers and yourselves. 😀
it looks sooooo BADASSSSSSS well done guys !! you earn a lot of room in this tiny truck !!!
Thank you so much for the nice feedback and for following along, it means a lot :)
Hats off to you dude. And of course Ang. Your learning as you go .....Kiwi style. Looking good and can't wait till it's done, so you can get cracking.
Absolutely brilliant well done guys
Thank you so much Terrance!
A great episode! That pop top looks really great and add a great function for your use.
Also very nice to see your part with the ex Swedish military vehicles.
A small correction of what you told about that open top TGB. What you describe (and show at photo) is the original AT-version with the 90 mm recoilless rifle (TGB 1111). But this copy you have here is the later version (TGB 1119), modified for the ATGM BILL (anti tank guided missile). As a conspript soldier at my basic training back in the early 90's I was trained at combat with the protype for this version of the TGB.
Looks so awesome - like it came factory fitted..congrats!
That's a very nice compliment, thank you Andre!
Boy you guys have done a great job. It looks amazing!
Wow. Always thought of doing this with my Bundutop. Thanks for testing it for me first 😮
Hi guys, I must say the 6×6 is looking fantastic. You’re doing a wonderful job. Keep up the wonderful work , Cliff from Logan City Queensland, Australia
Thank you so much for the compliment, it means a lot!
Thank you so much for the compliment Cliff, it means a lot!
you guys are rockstars. Well done. How fun
The TGB build is looking amazing. The pop up finishes it off perfectly.
I was hoping you would show the blinker fluid reservoir on the other TGB's 😂
Thank you so much Steve for the nice comment! Ahah the blinker fluid reservoir confused a lot of people last time...
The top came out sweet!!!! Great job! I really hope to meet up with you guys when you're in the USA
Thank you so much for your nice comment and for subscribing! We look forward to explore the USA, where about are you from?
@@TheOutFit I'm in San Diego, California
I have the same Roof Top Tent. I absolutely love it. I use "Exped" Air Mattresses, I prefer two mattresses side by side. They are high end quality and inflate/deflate very easily. This allows for me to use the space for living/sleeping.
The zipper ends I put on top at night with a small clip/lock to prevent unplanned opening.
I have small low profile Backpacking chairs I use in the space for the Living Space function. I of course removed the original mattress and replaced it with a livingroom style rug, that fit perfectly. It's a great place to work and also watch a movie from a drop down screen or laptop.
I really enjoy your family friendly videos. Thank You
Could you tell me please the manufacturer of the Pop up tent I looking for one which opens parallel like this one for my build
Nice one guys and gals, it's coming on and looking good.
Guys, the topper looks great 👍. Thanks for sharing your first al fresco dinner by the TGB.
Can’t wait to see what you’ve got planned for the interior. One thing though, make sure you leave room for expansion in “Little Man’s” area. That boy is growing like a weed 😊. Oh, Chris were those Swedish sandals 🩴 that you were wearing? 🤪
Regards
Lou🇺🇸
Well done! Good teamwork!
Thanks a lot Alexander! Very happy with how we handled the whole process as a Team :)
@@TheOutFit Also impressed with the carpeting, looked really nice.
The carpet looks like a professional shop install.👍
As someone who has been driving forks for over 20 years, please don't stand under your load. I say that from a genuine place of caring for your well-being, not trying to be a smart arse of be over critical.
Love the build and can't wait to see hit the tracks. Thank you for another awesome episode
Epic build!!!
Looking awesome!!!
Hey guy's great job you both deserved the beers and burgers after that, I did cringe though when you guys were under the load. A tip you can use threaded bar from the camper in 4 spots to guide it on, hey hind site is great and advice from my office chair. Stay safe , best of luck from the Pilbara.
Don't diss salty icecream, it's the best!
Ahah sorry! Any other Swedish delight I should try? :p

Stoked for you guys congrats and I’m looking forward to seeing it in action
you did a factory job !!!!! bravo !!
That is one hell of a compliment, thank you Alexandros!
I love the work you do but I have to say Never ever walk under a load.
To be fair, he did say it was the first time, but even still. Number one rule, never walk under heavy load. I was worried for Ange when she was in the truck.
My thoughts at the time.
This is a fantastic build and perfect timing for my build. I am about to start a canopy build in Australia on my 79 series with a 3000x1600 Bundu tent. This is pretty much showing me exactly what I need to do and the problems I will run in to. Cant wait to see your bed solution, I was going to leave 1800 for the bed and cut out 1200 for the living area in the back of the canopy. But I really like what you have done and I might make the bed into removable sections for more living area. Keeps up the great work guys :)
Looks like a 1970 jeep comanche with a bed change lol nice
Chicos, me parece un trabajo espectacular, seguir trabajando así que en breve os veo por España, un saludo familia!!!
Muchas gracias por ver! Tenemos ganas volver a España :)
Looks awesome guys its a big credit to ya fantastic job so far 💯👍👍
Thank you so much David, much appreciated!
That icecream is awesome. What are you talking about? ;)
Ahah never again ☠️
@@TheOutFit Philistines! You better make an offering to Huixtocihuatl and quick. :-)
Well, while in Sweden, you gotta get Djungelvrål candy. That would be salty, that ice cream is nothing!
Awsome guys. Congrats👏🏻
Thank you so much for watching Marcus!
So much awesomeness!!!
Thank you so much for following along!
Fantastic video as usual, love the rooftop and your installation, even though it was a little dangerous. Double salt liquorice is nasty as a lolly let alone an icecream.
Very professional job, engine and gearbox next?
Great to see you so happy
Cheers
Ian
Thanks Ian! Camper fit-out next so we can go camping in it 👍
Bundutop is the Beez Neez of RTT. I have the 360 awning and the added room makes so muc cover around our Camper Trailer
Tgb 13 ambulance is my model. It can save people from really bad spots. God to work in too. Awesome ❤ car.
We had spade on the sides. Spade?! But yeah
We love to hear from people who drove them in the military! Thanks for watching :)
Thats so cool with the tent up.
From your last video; Bundu is a slang word for the outdoors in SA. Bundutec are a quality organisation. The build looks great not sure how the 6x6 will compare to the Unimog as that is an all terrain vehicle for sure.
It's cool to know the meaning behind the world! We have more Bundutec products to install and we are really impress with the quality. The 6x6 TGB will be very capable offroad too, the main advantage is how narrow and low it is compared to the Mog, we can imagine it will make our travels in Europe a little bit less stressful :) Thanks a lot for watching!
The Bhundu Boys (from Zimbawe) in the 80is my fav Afrika Music. The name came from bhundu (meaning "bush" or "jungle"), in reference to the young boys who used to aid the nationalist guerrilla fighters in the 1970s
Really interesting to see the Bundutec without the floor. I have been considering doing something similar with my Troopy that already has a Kea Pop Up Tent roof conversion. Vehicle looks awesome. 👌🏻
It would definitely be a great addition to a Troopy! Thanks for watching :)
looking good guys!
You are planning to make a sliding bed stand. Looks great.
Absolutely awsome setup
Thank you very much Pedro!
@@TheOutFit I may have missed it but are you guys coming back to Australia with that awesome vehicle one day?
Beautiful!
Thank you for watching Arnold!
I have followed you guys since your jeep days! The build you guys have done are exceptional! ❤
@@afajayan no way! Thank you so much for watching since the beginning, you legend 🙌
It looks Amazing, the build is coming along, can’t wait to see the finished product, since your pop top is 5-6 higher from the roof line of the TGP, you could raise your roof rack a couple of inches, better to install a visor in front of the roof rack for Aero dynamics and to reduce wind howling.
Amazing job! Sweden's airbase strategy is still to have a lot of dispersed landing/take off strips on regular roads where one mechanics officer and a few conscripts can reload and refuel our JAS39 Gripens within about 10 minutes, protected by air base jaegers. Even the jet engine is replaced within 60 minutes. The whole support organization is build to be highly mobile, effective and efficient.
Guys, when you start touring across Europe, I'm going to stalk you and come find you somewhere...I HAVE to see that truck in real life now! WHAT A BEAUTY you've built. And it's been amazing to follow the whole build. All the best to you and your beautiful family.
Great stuff guys 👍👍👍👍 Thanks for sharing 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much Tony for following along!
The pickup looking vehicle reminds me of my old J-10 or J-20 Jeep. It was made Quadratrack 4wD constant, Low 4WD was through a vacuum switch in the glove box. Pretty much a bullet proof vehicle, like my Wagoneers also Quadratrack.
looking good guys well done!!
Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
Looking great guys! Looks like you could also mount an awning to it also.
This is so awesome ❤
That is awesome guys🤙
Another great Vlog, love ya waffle Chris, cheers from Downunder ❤️🦘🦘🦘🇦🇺
This is awesome
Thanks for watching!
This model served me and my crew so well. It dugged up tanks mind you. Please come by Eksjö if you do a small tour around Sweden. You can borrow our washing machine ❤❤❤
This is the car that takes you to hell and back with a smile on your face and Satan wanting you back. Nothing can get you.
Tons a headroom.. Diggin it, 1 step closer🤙🤙🔧🛠️🔧🛠️🏁🏁🏁😁😁Be Blessed🙏🙏🙏
You "need" to try the candy Djungelvrål. If you thought that icecream was too much...
*shoves a handful in my mouth* Mmm, yum! 😂
I've seen this done on the same vehicle you have and it struck me as an excellent idea and it looked like a factory fitted pop top roof!
I even considered adopting this idea on a compact panel van as it would be a far better roof than I could make.
A few TGBs owners have done some roof conversion yes! One big bonus of this one is the massive headroom we have once it's up :) good luck with your project!
Amazing job and looks fantastic! If you happen to use the Nato plug it is probably wired as Swedish Military so the connections are different. DON'T just plug it into another military trailer as you might blow fuses and such. Ask me how i know! lol! Cheers,
I love your vision. I have been following your build. I'm loving what you're doing. But I have never yelled at a video as much as I did when you were dancing under that load. Sooooo happy it worked out safely for both of you.....
Haha thank mate. My head is much harder than that tent so I really wasn't fussed 😂
Love it! That’s amazing
Thanks Andre! Now Chris is considering rebuilding the Mog with similar idea 😅
@@TheOutFit if he “just” wants to tinker with a Mog again, heaps of work todo on mine :)
looks amazing good work

Do I love this or do I love this ⁉️🤩 🙌

I come from China and I really like this video. It's a very good video.🤗
The wooden boards on the roof may not be very sturdy and need further improvement.
What wooden boards? 🧐🤔
@@TheOutFit😀 I am very happy by your reply. In the latter part of the video, when two people are sitting on a wooden board. but it has a little bent. This wooden board has a metal frame,I think it could be used as a bed board.
@@TheOutFit At 38 minutes and 25 seconds in the video.
@@cva198211 ah so not on the roof! Yes we say it's a prototype 👍 metal is too heavy. We have reinforced our wood platform with 30x30 aluminium now
@@TheOutFit Yes.I saw the new video. It's great!👍
When he walked under the load suspended by the forklift I was picturing Wile E Coyote under a stone that drops onto him.
That little dude will grow up to be a proper swede now that he tasted liquorice ice cream. Next he will be craving Djungelvrål.
Haha what on earth is Djungelvrål? 😂
@@TheOutFit Classic swedish (very) salty candy that you can find everywhere.
@@erik.... alright I'll find some in the shops and do a live tasting on camera 😄
Looks amazing, what’s a mad rig
Thanks for watching Nathan, appreciate the comment!
Great video on the channel nice work keep up the good video on channel thanks lee
Thanks as always for watching Lee!
For longitudinal adjustment it would have been easier to move the truck and the forklift for latitudinal adjustment. But a very good idea.
LOL! You guys! Place the load on the floor where you want it, lift it, and then reverse the vehicle in under the load. Reverse, so that there is never a person under the load. Place the load in the desired spot. Job's a goodun.
A plank across each end to rest the roof on, then get inside to lift by hand to position and remove planks one by one. You could also lay the Sikaflex with the roof on the planks.
The rubbery straps (bungies) are there so you could mount a blackout cover over the windows (looked like a green serving tray) so you could have the lights on inside the vehicle without being seen at night.
Good to know, thanks for the insight!
Great Job:)
Thank you so much for watching!
Yeah those are not lift points. I'm glad it all worked out well for you, i think it is going to turn out great!
It's how Bundutech lift them onto roof racks in their how-to video actually
That is the biggest rooftop tent I have ever seen easily twice the size of anything else I’ve seen on the US market when closed
Based off the year, that Jeep is known as a J10 here in the States. I have an 82 myself.
The engine may be a 5.9L (360 cubic inch) and the transmission may be a 727.
