I came very close to getting these for my 2022 Chief but opted for the Rush War Horse instead. They are VERY similar in sound and dB but I think you will get accustomed to them in no time! Just a little shocking at first when your girl is roaring like never before! Just give them a couple of rides and I think you won't regret it!! Gotta let that V-Twin sing like it was meant to!!! And they are much SAFER because you will be heard by others. Let us subscribers know if you and your Chief come to the States and we can ride together to a rally!!
Cheers! I haven't heard of Rush War Horse, I'll check them out. I took it out today for the first run down the highway and yes, I can really hear the engine now. :) Good to know I'll get accustomed to them. I was a bit concerned at first but I was starting to get used to them by the end of my ride. I reckon you're right, a couple more rides and I'll feel right at home. I'd love to ride with you guys in the US! Will do one day. ;)
I got Rinehart's on my scout. I had to eventually wrap the baffle to cut out the high pitch frequency on highways. Worked a treat. Also don't forget the sound will eventually mellow out after time. I found them real loud at first.
Yeah the Scout's will run at higher revs making them more piercing at speed on the highway. At highway speed I'm sitting on around 2,700 rpm on the Chief.
I think it'll be ok RM. When cruising at highway speeds the bike's only ticking over at around 2,700 rpm. Getting set up to record and test that for this afternoon. I'll soon know! :)
Some people think that loud pipes save lives. Paul's new Rinehart mufflers wake the dead. And since he's fitted the Rinehart mufflers, the world's population has risen, so the theory must be true :)
I put Rinehart on my 2018 Scout and it was a massive improvement and also VERY LOUD. Now that I have a Chief Dark Horse, I'm actually OK with the stock pipes.
If people are smart, anyone can negotiate and shop around for a better price on any product. I don't mind/care how much anyone pays for their parts or bikes. It's not my business. Don't let it worry you. Sounds good.
Good review, I've just placed an order for some Rinehart Slip on mufflers for my 23 Scout Bobber (I purchased from Indian Ballarat also) Looking fwd to the result 👌
Hello, I have installed this slip-ons on my Chief Dark Horse and it sounds great but a lot of annoying poppings with this Rinehart that never had with stock mufflers. What is your experience?. Thank you
Looking goooooood! Update us on your new rider experience especially during long trips. Wonder if they'll require ear plugs like my sawicki's did, hopefully not bc that tacks on inconvenience.
I wear earplugs all the time already, but I can tell I'll definitely need them. Doing a longer ride on Friday, that will be a good test. I'll let you know!
No tune, but I have modified the exhaust to compensate. Have never used rear cylinder deactivation on my bike, don't need it. To see what I'm doing to my exhaust, look for PaulVanGaans on Patreon.
I have the rinehart’s on my scout bobber. I do enjoy them but they’re honestly a bit loud and the ears take a beating. How are you feeling since having them for a few weeks now?
The rhineharts sound bloody noice mate and being aftermarket yes they are loud but you'll get used to them like my deans speed mufflers at 4 am they are loud in traffic not so loud.cheers big fella
I've had mine on for a couple of weeks now, I like them but I do wish they were a little quieter, just a little bit too loud... too bad Rinehart doesn't have a replaceable baffle or some way to turn them down a notch...
I agree. They are too loud. I've modified mine, and they are now perfect. I've covered what I did with free videos over on my Patreon. Patreon.com/PaulVanGaans
I have watched nearly every video of yours in regards to the Indian Chiefs, the only issue I have now is which variation of chief do I buy to install these on?!
Hey Paul, I feel that pipes are a part of the culture. A large number of the big cruiser riders have little regard for those around them and fit loud pipes to be ‘a bit scary’. Not sure loud pipes actually save too many lives but it is used as justification…smart riding would save more lives. New pipes will always mellow a little as they carbon up. Is there a quieter baffle for these pipes - might be worth investigating to take the edge off if you need to? Wrapping them in ceramic exhaust fluff would also take a bit off the top. Scaring old people and children with super loud pipes is not a good look IMO. 😊
No tunings only really an issue if you change air intake and increase air flow Guy. Although, I'd also get a tune if I did a full exhaust system replacement.
That's the Indian 17.8" screen for the Chief. I really like the wind protection I get on my body, makes for a more relaxing ride. But I don't like the amount of buffeting the helmet receives for my 6'1" height. It's not excessive but it is enough to became annoying over time.
If i would have the same trouble to choose the right bike...between Harley-Davidson & Indian. My opinion finally, would be the Low Rider S or ST is the way to go. Better suspension... Front inverted forks. Rear monoshock. Thousands of choices for any upgrades you wish.. Double front disc brakes. Stronger standard engine.
Nowt wrong with loud 'n proud, Paul......as long as the rozzers don't take an interest in you. They (the pipes) do look better than the old ones too. Just about there now? Popeye.
@@lloydp8221 Shouldn't need a tune when just fitting slip-ons, the ECU will adapt. If I added a high flow air filter then I definitely would. Having said that, I feel the bike would benefit from a custom tune. I will look at that in the future but it's not urgent right now.

I've made some mods and they now sound even better! 👍

My wife just got a set of those pipes ready to install on her Chief, but we have to wait for the weather to warm up first. It's cold here in Michigan.

Damn, that’s loud😂😂 I love it on other people’s bikes, but not sure I could take it all the time. Respect😀

I’m definitely putting Rineharts on my 22 Chief once I can afford them. Thanks again for sharing how it sounds

😅🤣😂
Yes, that sounds great mate. I love my Rinehart pipes on the Rd Glide. Like you said deeper. Your bike is definitely coming together now👍
Cheers Tim!
Sounds great while stopped but I think that I'm going to like it more when you're under way.
That sounds soo much better.. not too loud.. those will be great going down the road!!👍🏻👍🏻
Great video and thanks for posting. You may need to get it flashed tuned for optimum performance since your pipes are no longer stock...
I put Rinehart on my 2018 Scout and it was a massive improvement and also VERY LOUD. Now that I have a Chief Dark Horse, I'm actually OK with the stock pipes.
That sounded good!I have slip ons on my Chief Vintage. Can't go back to quiet.
Sound great as they get settled in the tone will rumble better 👍
Love it! Such a great change! Hope you enjoy them!
Sure will! Cheers Phil 👍

Has the popping stopped???

Did u tune it ? And if u did does your rear cylinder deactivation still work ?

@@BikesILikehave you experienced the popping that people reported regarding these slip ons?
@@bobbylee3567 Yes, very much so. But my modifications have settled them down a lot.

I had a really hard time pulling the mufflers off my Victory Hammer. Since I had purchased a full exhaust I just destroyed the stock system.

You won't be disappointed, I'm still loving mine
I'm pleasantly surprised...at this point👍
They sound great! No tuning adjustment necessary?
No tunings only really an issue if you change air intake and increase air flow Guy. Although, I'd also get a tune if I did a full exhaust system replacement.
How much dB are those aftermarket pipes and will people inside the car notice the sound?
Don't know what the dB rating is but they will definitely hear them.

Hello,
Do you keep this Rinehart on your bike?
Yes, but I have made modifications. You can watch my free videos on the modifications I've made right here www.patreon.com/PaulVanGaans
Nice work, thank you very much
Been waiting for this one mate!
Me too! 😁
What's about power and torque?. Do you find differences?
Yes. I will make a video.

Cheers Popeye! Sissy bar next and then I need to sort out some sort of protection for the rear guard so I can sit a bag on it.
How much did they cost 💲
I paid the retail price, $1,530 AUD at Indian Motorcycle Ballarat. I believe they have another set in stock.
Thanks mate I will have to save for a few months
