When all you hear for 4 years is "You're not ready" or "Are they ready", I think they're going to be more ready than most SEC teams.

We lost to KU and OSU. I'm not scared of the SEC at all, but our schedule is far more brutal than playing KU and OSU. I'm praying BV's (whom i love) head coaching abilities have improved too.

OU is going against 6 new QB’s this year, some new coaching staffs. These things are not talked about. There is zero way to know that Bama is going to be Bama. Sure they should be a solid team, but things can happen. If I remember right the OC is a new one for him over there at Bama as well, so that’s something new for him. Does it work? Seth was already at OU, a OC and a head coach before. So we Have a great idea of what he will bring. OU has one of the top O-line coaches in the country. He will do what he does. The wr room is almost all back, loosing Stoops is more of an emotional thing, Burks should be a whole level above what Stoops was. Rb room is solid as well and the defense will be a top 10 unit as well, I predict both offense and defense are top 10 by the end of the year, with maybe 1 or 2 losses at most.

That's a hell of a jump for the ou defense. Going from mid 40's in scoring defense to top 2. WOW. As for the sooner O they will be playing against better defenses on the whole. SEC had 7 defenses ranked top 50 in scoring to 4 for the xii. Before you mention xii having more potent offenses. Both conferences had 7 teams each in top 50 scoring offenses.

Judging by Big 12 newcomers there is a transition period. SEC has provided OU immediate relief recruiting interior lineman and the schedule is only 4 true road games unheard of at Oklahoma. I'd say 2 years tops and Oklahoma's a perennial SEC Contender

Texas is getting higher caliber players than Oklahoma because they have fatter wallets. They had 11 players go to the nfl this year. When was the last year they had more than 2 or 3 players get drafted in 1 year. That Manning kid made 3.2 million last year just sitting on the bench. Texas has a bought team bottom line. I imagine Texas A & M will rise in the ranks as well since they are also a rich school with rich alumni. The good news is that Saban retired, so Georgia is the top dog in the SEC, and they have been for a few years. The SEC is more physical, so players will get beat up a little each week than they did in the Big 12. I'm personally going to root for both Oklahoma and Texas this year because I'm tired of the SEC, but they are the premier league and have been since Tennessee won in 98.
