Whoever had the notion of creating a nearly, half british and half southern cast was inspired. I never until now even thought about how unusual that mix was. It worked so perfectly.
The original plan was to do the story set in the old west, that's why they had so many cowboy actors like Andy Devine and Ken Curtis cast
I'm just so impress by these talented voice actors.
There was also of course Barbara Luddy, the voice of the mother church mouse and Skippy's mother.
Of course she did quite a few other notable Disney roles, among which being Lady in Lady and the Tramp, Merryweather in Sleeping Beauty and the original voice of Kanga in the Winnie the Pooh cartons until her passing.
1 2003 "Get Your Own Back!" episode "gunk dunk" question was "who led the merry men of Sherwood forest?". Charlotte Bird from Oxford said "Robin Hood", and was correct!.

Monica Evans (Maid Marian), the rabbit kids and the turtle, are the only living voice actors alive. :(
Peter Ustinov as Prince John is one of the best voice performances Disney has ever had!
it didn't even begin to occur to me as a child that he played King Richard too!
This was the best casted Disney cartoon aside from Alice in Wonderland.

i wondering if Lion King got the idea of scar and Mufasa from this movie?
because the kings in robin Hood are lions, and they are brothers and one of them evil like scar while the other one is good like mufasa

I love how they got both of the women from Odd Couple to act again in this movie with different characters.
They were also Amelia and Abigail Gabble from The Aristocats

Upon hearing Ken Curti's/Nutsy's voice, I couldn't but have springing up to mind the legendary line: "ONE O'CLOCK! ALL IS WELL!"
