    2 weeks after this video and Trea cant stop hitting. He has something like 15 HR in his last 19 games and went from 9 HR all season before the ovation, to now 25+ and looks on track to hit over 30 this season. As a Philly fan myself, i kind of thought the ovation was a little fake because us Philly fans would usually boo a player in that position. Why did Trea get an ovation, but not Schwarber who was batting under .200 at the time? HOWEVER, i was completely wrong because it clearly worked, and the Trea Turner that is worth 300 million has resurfaced and shown Philly the love we gave him. Once I started to struggle I went into a never ending downward spiral. Then when I started to slowly hit the ball my teammates would hype me up massively because they relied and counted on me. Then I went on a tear. Then the playoffs started and I hit a home run to give us the lead. We ended up losing but it allowed me to go stupid crazy.

    The ovation was 10000% the catalyst that offered Trea the ability to settle his mind. He is the one making the plays happen so all the credit goes to him and his talent and abilities. But when the fans give you support instead of booing, that will absolutely give you peace of mind, and I believe that allowed him to not feel like he has to do too much, just play the game. He has been fantastic ever since.

  • @Nolan33177
    @Nolan33177 Год назад

    Trea has hit 9 home runs in 10 games since this vid, he got his avg from 232 to 274 with 600 at bats at the end of the year. Anyone that knows baseball knows that’s almost impossible. He more than doubled his home runs, from 11 to 26, ops skyrocketed, and all started from the ovation weekend. You didn’t say every at bat he got a standing O the entire game, then the next game, and all weekend then he hits a 3 run game winning bomb and it was apparent, something has changed. And oh did it. Lesson here, Philly fans want effort, honesty, and own up to your mistakes. Alec bohm said I effin hate this place after a mock cheer or maybe a genuine cheer, he took as a mock, last year after a e errors in a game. He owned it they came back and win, on the news he I love this place. Yeah I really do, they just wanna win and will let you hear it if you’re not doing your job. I said it did. I mean it boo I’m sorry. And a standing O after he was removed from the lineup the next night, and a standing O when called on to pinch hit. Look at this. John Kruk said and these knucklehead national media nonsense always saying bad things and this happens over and over. They can be tough, but are probably the most if not as knowledgeable as any city in the sports world about all sports, they will give you love and will let you hear it when you don’t bust it down the first base line, because when the error happens and you get called out like jimmy rollins, yeah future hall of famer krill, he got booed for lazily getting thrown out on an error he should have been on 2nd base on. Very few are immune. Chase Utley was one bc he busted it every day and night in the field on the bases and gave up his body every chance he could, hit by pitches league leading amounts all the time, sliding hard to break up double plays, and no he did t mean to hurt anyone especially in the playoffs vs tejada. That was an accident. Schmidt got booed. Ryan Howard, I’m not sure about iverson but as a youngster he deserved it but we knew he was still a young 22 year old knucklehead who has the world figured out before he steps into it. So yeah. Treat your players who maybe are in a mental battle with love, love them if hey like it or not. Maybe your slumping player will also be the best hitter in baseball for a month or two, and maybe into the postseason we’ll see tomorrow

    If it was not stigmatized as such a bad thing, Trea Turner could go to the minors for a few weeks and work it out. Ideally then the bright lights would be gone and he could work with development coaches.

    It’s quite simple his plate discipline isn’t good and it’s harder to make contact out of the zone as you age causing you to fall off faster

    That defense looks a lot like what Dodgers fans saw the year and a half he was in LA. His defense has been awful for years...that's not unique to this year.
