    Trea was a patented Dombrowski signing. His swing-and-miss rate and pitch selection rate was lacking even when Trea was at his best. Meaning, while he may recover now, the second half of his contract will be a disaster. The Phillies will be winning 65 games, and Dombrowski will be doing his thing in the next town.

      @@jimwerther his high strikeout rate especially in the playoffs against high velocity pitchers and the fact he’s a speed guy now over 30 the decline was inevitable. His final 2 months in a Dodger uniform was awful. Very much what he’s been doing this season

      @@doocies
      You overstate the case with "very awful". He wasn't great in September and October, but he wasn't awful, and certainly not "very awful".
      More importantly, you think that he hit the wall from one month to the next at age 29? Seriously? Come on.
      We don't even know for sure if the Dodgers might have tried to keep him if it wasn't for Gavin Lux.

    • @doocies
      @doocies Год назад

      @@jimwerther I never once stated very awful but when you sign a guy to a 300 million dollar contract and he bats .250 with a .300 OBP that is the definition of very awful. His legs helped him beat out infield hits his whole career, let’s see that post 30. His numbers were dependent on speed and the batters in front and behind him. Doesn’t have that luxury he had in LA. His numbers speak for themselves, this year he sucks and everyone in LA saw it coming. Maybe he’ll bounce back, maybe it’s a terrible contract for Philly
