The world-famous Mysore Dasara is celebrated between the 15th and 24 October 2023. It will be inaugurated by the well-known Kannada music composer lyricist Hamsalekha. He will inaugurate the 10-day celebration atop the Chamundi hills. The inaugural ceremony will be held between 10:15 AM and 10:36 AM.
Dasara is a 10-day festival in the region culminating on Vijayadashami or tenth day. The day marks the successful conclusion of the preceding nine days. Vijayadashami is also a day of victory of the King and his subjects, be it in a battle or day-to-day governance. The preceding nine days of Navarathri have celebrations starting only after six days.

You can see the lightings and other programs during dasara for free. But you have to buy pass online to see jamboo savari on vijaya dashami.

If you're planning to visit during Jamboo Savari, then it's better to buy tickets online in advance. You won't get it on offline, if you don't have links here.
Except jamboo savari, everything is free.

Yeah. It will be too much crowd especially in the evening time. Still you can enjoy and explore the places. Visiting during dasara is like bit risky but i promise you that, it will be worth soo much. You guys will definitely enjoy it. But please make sure that, the accommodation plans are made at the earliest.
