    Honestly, such a helpful little video. I think the true spirit of Ted Greene's stuff is to 'fuck around and find out'. When you first pick up this book its a little overwhelming... but... live the spirit(?)

    That progression is the first part of the "Rhythm Changes" progression. The latter is the basis for a bunch of famous jazz tunes. Good to know!

    Very cool lesson man. is there a name for the technique you're using on the C6, where your middle finger is hitting the 2nd fret on both the d and g strings?
    I've been struggling to hit those two without touching the b or low e strings. I'm reading through chord chemistry and there are a good amount of chords that use a similar technique, like a partial bar or something

    • @JakobPek
      @JakobPek  5 месяцев назад

      Hi Clark. Thanks for the comment and for checking out my work. Yes, the technique is called a "double stop," when the tip of one finger holds down two strings simultaneously. You could think of it as a tiny bar with the tip of, in this particular case, the middle finger. A bit tricky at first, but it will start to settle in.
