I love how great a villain Dr Hemloch is. In the scene when Omega is trying to save the animal Dr Hemlock is like 'NO EMOTIONS ALLOWED' and then he's using Omega's emotions to prove his point and show her why they're not allowed... 💀What an evil smartass!
Honestly, the ambiguity of this entire Palpatine Cloning subplot is what I love about it. It makes it creepier and more disturbing, wondering just how deep the rabbit hole goes with Dark Side science and alchemy.
So I counted the tally marks in Omega’s cell. A planetary rotation is considered a day. There were 169 marks so that equates to 169 days. Meaning Omega has been a prisoner there for at least 5 months.
Seeing Crosshair's hand shaking broke my heart (I'm assuming it's because of the gas or whatever else they did to him) because it seems he sees himself as useless now that he won't be able to shoot anymore. ( I could be wrong but I'm still sad)

At this rate, Mount Tantiss will become one of my favorites in: "Places where very bad things happen but that are visually very beautiful", the lighting and shots of these 3 episodes were incredible

I gambling that a Jedi is in the cell and they are extracting blood from the Jedi and mixing it with clone blood to essentially do a force transfusion. There's no way Papa Palpatine would be giving up his own juice this early in an experiment. Like how nuts would it be if this is where Bariss Offee or Quinlan Vos come back into the story.

I really hope Star Wars animation like this has a future, especially longer seasons like TBB has. I think it perfectly captures what got a lot of TCW-generation kids into the franchise.
I love the Bad Batch. The quality is just so high. Everything from animation, to story, to characters, to music, it's all just so top notch. Great start to the season.
An interesting start to the season, a lot slower paced but interesting nonetheless. You can really feel the passage of time and the atmosphere of isolation as Omega tries to hold onto hope that she can escape. Also, Omega helping out and connecting with that creature in the pens was so freaking cute!
Gotta be another force user back there right ? I agree the emperor wouldn’t be using his own genetic material at this early stage …. Excited to learn more 😗
Ohhh... There is a bunch of things in the vault... All of the dirty sith alchemy secrets are on Tantiss.... Legend spoke often of a difficulty in cloning a force user. They also spoke of the difficulties presented by soul transfer and taking over a body. The closer the body is to the original the easier. These plots are drawing from both Dark empire and Heir to the empire
They say "the sample" but they don't specifically say Palpatine's. I think they might be using some of Vader's blood as he has the highest M count. Just speculation, though.

Can we just take a minute to appreciate the fact that Clone Commandos are getting more involved in Star Wars now because of this series. To be clear I have no idea why the Empire is keeping them given they are clones only other than the fact that they are the best of the best but even still it's awesome to see them AND Scorch still showing up. Now I just want the Republic Commando game to get a remastered.🙏

Omega does not age normally. Emorie seems to be have accelerated aging, and then again she doesn’t. Her physical aging could be anywhere from 16 to 26. Omega seems to be aging more slowly than a normal human, perhaps as much as half the rate of a normal human. Omega does not seem to have reached puberty, yet.
The music in this is the highlight once again, the Kiners have been KILLING it lately. We have a new theme for the entire episode symbolizing Omega's repeating schedule. The instrument is new too. But in the final scene, when Emerie returns the doll, we hear Omega's theme in the new instrument. Such a great way to show she's overcoming this challenge despite how bleak it seems.
I find it really interesting that they’re still not showing us exactly what’s going on with Tantiss. It could easily just be cloning Palpatine, and it probably is, but the remaining mystery makes me very curious. It’s not like they haven’t further developed stuff where we already know the end result, but it gets me excited. What if this isn’t just Palpatine’s new body?
Watching you guys get hyped over Star Wars is extremely refreshing. It breathes life back into a world that can be so hateful towards this constantly expanding mythology. 💙 💜
I can't wait to see my boy Commander Wolffe, especially as a clone trooper fan. My favorites are Rex, Cody, Wolffe, Bly, Fives, Echo, Howzer, Thorn, and Doom! I would be Commander doom! This show is filled with such suspense which is so surprising for a SW property. One of the best and the character development is simply great writing. Why they can’t make live action stuff this good is beyond me
You guys spent way too much time with hypotheticals about that vault instead of what was actually shown. This was a fantastic Omega episode (her first stand alone) and set the tone for her arc early this season. And the sound design and music were 🔥
This three-episode premier was so good. I think episodes 1 and 3 could've worked best as an extended episode rather than two separate episodes, but I still loved it.

The Empire was using Commandos to train recruits (the TK Troopers), so they’re still mostly used for about a year into the Imperial Era.

Republic Commando desperately needs a remaster at the very least. It does not hold up well on high res widescreen current hardware.
