Return of Shakespearean Thor. I like how the Ultimate continuity conveyed it by having his text be an extremely elegant cyrillic font, implying a truly higher being than mortals.
Captain America was created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby in 1940, at the time Stan Lee was an office assistant at Timely Comics (that later became Marvel), so probably that is why he don't have an adjective before his name lol
To explain the Wrecking Crew, the Wrecker’s crowbar was enchanted by the Norn Queen in a similar way to Thor’s hammer. He would eventually split his power among the other 3 Wrecking Crew members.
@ so, the Wrecker made his appearance first and I don’t think the rest of the wrecking crew showed up for like 10 years. He can pass the enchantment onto them, but not all of them even use weapons, only Thunderball and Wrecker.
Just looked up The Wrecking Crew. Turns out that their powers are magic based, if you can believe it. Some lady called The Norn Queen mistook Wrecker for Loki and infused his crowbar with power, which he later shared with the other members of the Crew. He even gains more magical abilities in the comics after going through a whole training arc with a Rock Troll, including the ability to recall his crowbar when thrown, just like Mjolnir.
I love Chris Hemsworth’s Thor but i really like this Thor too honestly. Clancy Brown for me is my favourite voice for Odin, very stoic, no disrespect to Anthony Hopkins. I know Loki’s voice actor because he was in Red Dwarf.
2:06 that's my Thor. either that one or the one who decided to give iron man a smack to the head after civil war because he used his DNA to create ragnarok
Wrecker has the crowbar, Piledriver is the blonde dude in white and red, Thunderball has the ball and chain, and the orange guy with the metal helmet is Bulldozer. I'm pretty sure they're all gamma mutates, which is why they work for Leader and have enough strength to fight Thor.
In the first 4 movies Thor does speak more regal and with more authority, it’s in Ragnarok where he gets dumbed down 5/6 pegs to seem more like a dumb jock

This is actually his second time voicing Loki. The first being in the Hulk vs. animated movie that came out a few years prior. Clearly they loved him enough to ask him to voice Loki again here.
the thing i love of this show is how unapologetic is about its love to the original comics its at the same time it make a great story, because at this time is so little of the MCU the main source of stories and characters comes from the comics. 3:04 so I was actually just researching this before you said that becasue i couldnt remember, basically the wrecker is a normal crook and he has a crowbar and he breaks into lokis apartment(Loki was staying on earth at this time) right as another god was about to impart some of their powers into Loki, it goes wrong and the powers instead get given to the wrecker (wich is how he becomes the wrecker), at some point I belive in a fight with Thor a lightning bolt hits him and causes his powers to get transferred into his crowbar. Then he goes to jail, their he meets thunderball(the one with the ball), Piledriver(the one in white) and Bulldozer(the one with the helmet), who are all at this point normal crooks who agree to help the wrecker break out, then somthing with a lightning bolt happens again and the wreckers god like power gets spit 4 ways across each of them making them all 1/4 of god level strength. And i think some of them keep some lightning powers idk. That’s in the comics at least, idk if they clarify if its the same in EMH but given Loki is in it, and they first appear in a Thor story, i would assume its at least a similar story.

Hulk powers are an attempt at recreating the super soldier serum, Osbornes oz formula ( goblin & spidey) is also the same, & Sentry are a few. Hell in the old ultimate comics run the entire mutant race is because of caps super soldier serum.

0:32 No he did not because Captain America was created in 1940 by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, the King of Comics. Also, he was made when Marvel Comics was known as Timely Comics. The First Avenger moniker was only added in the MCU but not in the comics universe. Then after WWII, superhero comics became less popular, and his series was cancelled in 1950 (although various revivals tried to happen, he was last published in 1954). Then when Stan Lee became EIC of Timely Comics (changed to Atlas Comics by the 1950s) Lee changed it to Marvel Comics in the 1960s after Fantastic Four and all the other characters he helped create proved popular and successful. You guys should really watch some comic book history documentaries. Not to react to, just in your spare time. I'd recommend Comic Book Confidential (1988), Superheroes: A Never-Ending Battle (PBS 2013), The Image Revolution (2014), Batman and Bill (2017) and Robert Kirkman's Secret History of Comics (2017).
Man, Thor used to be so cool. Of all the comic book heroes that have been ruined over the last twenty years or more, he was one of the hardest hit. His name was reduced to a title in one of the lamest retcons of all time, he was stripped of his powers which were given to his love interest, He's been depicted as an out of shape hobo more than once in recent times, as well as being scolded by Mjolnir who can talk all the sudden with a female spectral projection... okay. And just overall has been robbed of any semblance of dignity. They've been trying somewhat to restore Thor to his former greatness as of late, but a lot of the damage that's been done is still lingering such as Thor's name being a title and Asgardians being race swapped among other silly retcons.
i had a losing teeth dream where i was eating and all of a sudden things got more crunchy i spit it out only to find out i was crunching up my teeth! shudders. you might be interested in the hulk vs movies they are technically part of this series but at the same time not
Wrecking Crew backtory: long time ago, Loki lost his powers as part of a punishment, so he used his knowledge to contact thet Norn Queen, and make a deal with her, she was suppose to use her magic to give Loki great power, but in a classic right place wrong time situation the power end up inside a mortal, that mortal become the Wrecker, he fight Thor and was defeated, his powers sealed inside hir magic corwbar, in prison he become friends with 3 other guys, after the escape they recover the crowbar and split the magic energy in 4, they use magic tools made of Uru, Asgardian magic metal.
Yeah weirdly the Thor movie I liked most was the second one, even if I can admit it's not an amazing movie. Because we spend the MOST time in Asgard and the other realms there without constantly making a mockery of it. It has some of the best production design and character design (the directing just wasn't amazing) and I LOVE the high fantasy elements of it. While I love Taika's visual style and willingness to have fun, there's no earnestness in the fantasy element; it's all a joke, and that's not really what a fantasy nerd like me is looking for. Also the Warriors Three got to shine more in Thor 2. I just wanted to live in that world for longer.

Favorite version of Thor right here.
Please Please Please react to the Planet Hulk movie at some point in the future!!!
