Is it safe to eat the fish out there? I’m moving to the Victoria area and will be hopefully fishing the middle Texas coast soon. Fished everywhere along the coast except there! Heard about Lavaca bay having high concentrations of mercury and just want to be safe!

Fish consumption in upper Lavaca is catch and release only, I didn't see a map but TPW says its actually illegal to keep fish in that area due to mercury levels. I think POC and definitely Seadrift would be far enough away to be safe.
