The Taste of North Carolina - Wilmington

In a dazzling fusion of North Carolina’s burgeoning wine industry and Wilmington’s culinary prowess, the historic USS North Carolina hosted the inaugural Taste of NC: Wilmington event, marking a significant milestone in the state’s celebration of wine and gastronomy. Bringing together 15 wineries and 13 local restaurants, this spectacular evening aboard the battleship was a testament to indulgence and camaraderie.
Previously captivating attendees in Winston-Salem, this event’s location in Wilmington added a unique nautical charm and paid homage to our veterans. Under the canopy of a splendid May evening, guests were welcomed aboard to embark on a culinary journey unlike any other.
Divided among three tents, each housing a selection of wineries and restaurants, attendees reveled in sampling exquisite wine and food pairings curated by local chefs and winemakers. From the delicate seafood offerings of Hieronymus Seafood paired with Shadow Springs Vineyard’s finest to the harmonious flavors of Elijah’s Restaurant complementing JOLO’s Pilot Fog perfectly, every pairing showcased the diverse flavors of North Carolina’s culinary landscape.
