I've seen so many failed Captain Marvel costumes from Procosplay lately. Most of them were too small even though the people gave bigger measurements just to make sure they would have some extra room. If I remember correctly all of the failed costumes were custom fit too so I guess you shouldn't go with the custom fit with Procosplay. You were really lucky with yours!
I can't speak to the experience of others but this is the third cosplay I've ordered from ProCosplay and all have arrived with measurements matching what was on the site or the measurements I gave them. I do wish they would have added darts to the butt area so it would be less pancake butt city.
@@SednaWoo yeah of course, at least their normal sizing seems to be correct but they apperantlt mess up a lot when it comes to custom fit.
This is the exact review I was looking for lol. I bought a cosplay from herostime about 3 months ago and honestly I wasn’t as pleased when it came to minor details. Unfortunately, their CM cosplay isn’t too accurate, and it’s almost $400 including shipping. I think I’ll give procosplay a shot this time.
There are for sure some thing that could be improved with this suit. I ended up adding a panel of spandex into the body suit to make it easier to sit down. If you could get them to add some stretch fabric to the body suit and if they would add darts to the butt area, then it would be perfect imo.

I'm glad I bought it but my complaints are that there isn't any darting for your butt so it makes your butt look flat. That and the zippers are not very strong. It's also hard to sit down. Otherwise, I am happy with this suit.

Hey just had a question that Captain Marvel's suit's top part be detachable? Cause in Avengers Endgame where she was wearing tank top and her superhero pant if you observed?

These cosplays are a big investment for anyone, really. I attend about three conventions a year so when I consider the cost, I divide it by each time I will use the cosplay. I sort of come up with a per use cost and then decide if it's a good investment for my collection.
I volunteer with a local super hero cosplay group and we do hospital visits for kids and charity events so it ends up being worth it for me. The Captain America cosplayers I know can get really invested. They will get the hair cut and invest in the real metal shield. The kids really go nuts for it though.
Like I said, it's up to the individual and their budget to know if Procosplay is for you.

I ordered my regular size (USA 6) and they were a little big so I wear thick socks with them. I can't give advice because that was just my experience but this is the second pair of boots I've ordered from them and neither were too small. I always order my correct size and haven't had an issue. Like I said, not advice because two orders is a small data pool :)

As a guy (maybe a dumb guy?) you look fantastic! I agree on the belt & the misaligned star.... but I feel as though very very few people would notice if it wasn’t pointed out.... either way thumbs up!
I’m really concerned. I see reviews for this saying a lot about people not getting their package from this site. I want a nice captain America suit that procosplay showed on their channel. But now I’m thinking it’s a scam. Any recommendations? The video suit looked so amazing but how can I trust that it’s the real thing from their site with all these reviews saying they never got an item or bad service?
I can tell you I'm a real person and this is the third suit I've purchased from procosplay with no problems. I did purchase a Captain America suit six years ago and it was great for the price. We did a lot of upgrading like adding real belts and a metal shield but we used the base of the suit for years. The suit is all plastic, though, so it's cheap and therefore you've gotta be careful not to punch holes in it and you cook in the heat.
They are really responsive by email. Shipping directly from China and with custom sizes can take 2 to up to 4 months to arrive so it could be that folks don't understand that and think it's going to be like ordering from amazon. If you email them they will give you a shipping estimation but I always add another month to that just in case. If you need this for a gig or an event that's anytime soon then this isn't the way to go.
All that being said, I can't speak for the company because three suits is not a big enough sample size to know if they are reputable or not. Maybe I just have really good luck, who knows. Also, I got this suit over a year ago so maybe things are different now. If you do use them then size up at least couple inches on the measurements because otherwise you'll end up with a skin tight suit that looks amazing but that you can't move in. I wish I could be more helpful but, like I said, I'm just a customer and not a spokes person for the website. Good luck!

I ordered mine well over a month in advance and the customer service has not given me any help in knowing where my costume is at or even if it is finished. This is the exact costume I ordered and my event is oct 30 so a lot of anxiety going on right now

How is Procosplay's sizing? I've heard that they can be a bit small, got my eye on a few pieces from them but don't want to spend a tonne for it to be wrong
For me the sizing was as described. I think the tricky part is figuring out how to take your measurements. For women it seems to be that the waist is your narrowest part but for my husband's cosplay it was where he wears his belt. If you don't choose custom sizing, you want to check out their sizing guide to compare to your own measurements so break out that measuring tape. If you buy, say a size large t-shirt retail that doesn't mean their size large with Procosplay will work for you. I hope that helps! www.procosplay.com/size

Hey hey so I’m 5’3” 125lbs what size would you suggest I should get I noticed you said you got a size small but would help if I knew your height and weight I was going to order a medium because I know these Chinese sizes run small but decided to look this up first and found your video please let me know thank you
This was many years ago and at that time I think I was at 105 pounds and I'm 5'3". I really need to make a follow up to this review because the vest zipper ended up breaking and I have other feedback after wearing it out multiple times.

they came as an add on option with the suit. I believe if you just need the boots you can order them by contacting pro cosplay.
I’ve seen a cat toys Captain America shield on pro cosplay it’s extremely cheaper than everywhere else do u think this is a scam or are they reliable

Question for you Sedna, do you find purchasing off the shelf sizing that it usually fits as described? I'm at the top end of one size for some measurements but lower end for other measurements of the same size; so not sure whether I should stick to this in between or go bigger/smaller... any recommendations?
I wish I could advise you but the there is always a risk when ordering from cosplay sites like this one. I have been lucky and my items have been true to size but I can't tell you with confidence whether yours will be true to size or not.

Thank you very much for this review. That helps a lot to make a decision. I am already in touch with procosplay about it. I want to make a full "transition", also going to use hip pads and fake breasts. I guess I am going to use a lot or water during that con :-) :-)
stuffed curves is a wonderful idea to make this costume pop. I have to admit that I wear two padded bras to fill mine out better. I wish you good luck and I hope your cosplay meets your expectations! I can tell you that i feel like the epitome of "girl power" when I wear it.

Wait a second seriously you need to dress up like Brie Larson then Barbie it to car and show it on screen?
