In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don't know my final destination or the duration of this journey.
Throughout my journey, I'm raising money for a young disabled child in Poland named Franek. Franek was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (weakness of the entire right side of the body) and he will require constant rehabilitation for the rest of his life. There are many different Amish communities in the USA. Though they share core beliefs, they differ in their daily practices and choices of which technologies to use. I second what V2 Viking said about deer. They can pop out of the woods particularly in the morning and evening, so be alert! Wild turkeys can also surprise you. Every year there are literally thousands of vehicle -deer collisions. Safe travels and welcome to the USA!

Looking forward to see you riding in the south in winter - it's snowing outside in mild Nürnberg while other motorcyclists are meeting in the Bavarian Forest for the renowned Elefantentreffen (winter meeting & camping). I am so bummed! I follow and really enjoy your channel. While I love touring on my Goldwing, my trips are more week long or thereabouts. I watched the video of you leaving Buffalo and heading to Philly. I was watching as you rode this narrow gravel road and you saw some deer. As I watched, I was sure I knew where you were riding. It was the old Shawmut Grade and we have ridden it hundreds of times with mountain bikes, snowmobiles and Jeeps. It's an awesome backwoods ride. Then you hit a paved road and headed south through my local area. As it turned out, you were within 5 miles of where I live. Is all I can say is that would have been amazing if I would have seen you or if we could have ridden together for a bit as you rode south. Ride safe and enjoy the US.

Hey so since you've been all over the world with your bike and you're still riding to explore new places, how about a video where you just talk about these places. About your favorite spots/routes you've been to, about the biggest challenges on these trips and all the stuff you've seen. More of a 'sit down and talk' type of video.

No doubt the USA is much cheaper and easier to travel in then Canada in many respects -- larger population in USA certainly helps with lower prices for goods and services.

Glad your border crossing went well. As for the cheap Hotel in the US you have to remember that $80.00 US is $110.00 Canadian. Oh, and the wheels on the concrete truck were up because the load was empty. The wheels go down when the load is full to stabilize the truck while traveling. Enjoy the US and when you get back to the west coast of Canada come see us in Victoria on Vancouver Island.😄

Welcome to the U.S. Kinga! One only has to look at the southern border of the U.S. to understand what is going on in this country. Only one year? You can probably stay for the rest of your life if you chose. Did you take the elevator that goes behind the falls? Actually I think that may be on the Canadian side. I'm guessing this was early September? Loved that dirt trail. Very cool and a great start in the U.S.! Thanks, Kinga!
Deers are so cute... in the woods, not crossing the road in front of you! Always be aware of them.
Prices look cheaper in the US, and often are, but remember that 80$ US = 110$ CDN ;-)

New York has more recently abandonned rail bed. It will be used for snowmobiling in winter. If it was a regular forest road you wouldn't see deep cuts and big fills.
I think BMW has a couple more years before abandonning parts for the F800. Seems a bit of gap in the market before T7 arrived in N.A.??

At airports and land crossings, U.S. Customs just waves me through, sometimes without a word spoken. And I've always felt that I don't "look American"!
If you take the back roads from Buffalo to the burbs of Philly you will encounter many deer. Hot Shot inclement weather riding.
