I genuinely cried after the last point, not because Rafa has won 21st Grand Slam, not because he has more titles than Novak or whatever....it's because i know the time where i won't be able to see this man inspire me through his tennis is coming To me, you will always be the Greatest athlete Rafael Nadal!
The reason why Alex was so emotional is because he used to be a professional tennis player and actually played along with Rafa when he was just starting as a pro as a 16 year old. Alex also used to play with Carlos Moya, which has been Rafa's coach for the past several years. They all know each other very well.
this , he couldnt talk even if he wanted to . The emotion going through him must have crazy , this is what nadal does to people he allows them to vicariously live his matches through him . Its priceless gift he gives us all .
Rafa is for me one of the greatest sportsmen who ever lived (top 5 probably!). His talent, hard work, resilience + his incredible humility and great heart!! That’s so much I am ready to forgive his butt scratches and 24 seconds services…such a legend!!!
Rafa is a great men, a master, a king and a great charakter. He have that certain spirit of a fighter wis great mental strengh witch will be a inspiration for everyone and forever. Congratiolations rafa. We love you.
This match reminded me the movie where Rocky Balboa fought against Ivan Drago. No chance to win whatsoever and somehow little by little point after point he was able to defeat the Russian just by never giving up and having faith in his possibilities to win. Rafa Nadal is the real Rocky Balboa. A man whose passion moves mountains. A truly gladiator. He’s the GOAT no matter what happens in the future. One day we’ll say to the future generations: I saw that final and it was absolutely amazing. Thank you Rafa and kudos on your 21st grand slam.
Don Rafael Nadal It is for the Spaniards as our brother, our son, our best friend. He has always given us so much joy... But what he did the other day transcends sports, it was pure ecstasy. Y en RG 2022 serán 22, alguien lo duda?
My wife was angry because I was crying when he won this match, but didnt shed a tear at our wedding. I cried for him because everybody knows how hard he fights and suffers for this sport for decades now and this win was so well deserved and also till the last moment not certain. It was unbelievable to watch and be part of this moment....and I was very happy at my wedding but in comparison to this match I knew what the outcome will be...:D
There’s no description for this man… he is beyond everything ! The best athlete in the history by far. What he have done in this final is inhuman, insane !
Thank you so much for the superb highlights videos of this wonderful tournament; it’s been such a blessing to me to be able to watch so much great tennis, edited so well into such concise yet comprehensive and exciting segments; very well done to all involved! 🎾🍾❤️
I have been a tennis player for 35 years. When I was 15 years old I had two knee operations and the surgeon told me that I couldn't continue playing tennis. I ignored him and put all my effort into improving myself. Rafa has had a serious physical problem with his feet since he was 17 (look for information), which would normally have been to stop practicing her sport. It is an exceptional case of physical and metal overcoming. His motivation is infinite like the stars. His spirit on and off the slopes is exceptional (I remember the serious flooding of his Manacor on the island of Mallorca where he helped as a neighbor to remove the water and mud from the houses). As a secondary school teacher (of ethics) he is an example for all young people, and not so young. My tears of joy (not as a Spaniard and Catalan, but as an athlete that I am) are of enormous gratitude for your effort and superhuman example, especially in these difficult times of the Covid pandemic. Rafael, you are the greatest.
Corretja was in my top 3 favorite players (Agassi and Rafter) and after he retired I haven't really seen him and now it is a bit shocking to see him older.
It's definitely not easy. The whole crowd is for the opponent, the opponent is able to write absolute history if he wins and on top of it he's the one guy that never stops pushing on no matter how shitty the game is going, and very probably one of your idols. So yeah, feeling bad for Daniil but he's got all the class to win many GS in the future even though he might lose to the oldies. But he might also win, as he did last year. So I hope he doesn't lose faith in himself and keeps on going strong to at least reach the ankles of those three, because it's unlikely that anyone will ever catch up to their greatness.
Has being very emotional in all the country and in probably every place where tenis is supported,.. first time a player wins 21 grand slams, the way in this heroic match, etc..,
I don't get why some of Nole's fans are reacting like they're doing. If he's the best player ever, he'll win more grand slams than Rafa by the end of his career. But why people can't just rejoice for someone and are always minimising his achievement?
Rafa was pushed by AO, without Djoković in tournament his path was open. Yet, nearly 6 hours on court against young opponent is tremendous achievement.
That young boy is #2 in ATP ranking and defeat novak in the last US Open final (in that tournament Rafa and Roger didnt play, so "his path was open" too and he didn't achieve what Rafa has done today.
They didn't want Djoković to play tennis in AO. Won all GS matches against Rafa in recent years , AO, Wimbledon, Roland Garros, except Rolan Garros 2020.
Its a bit cringy to talk about the GOAT stuff when Djokovic wasnt there under these circumstances.... I dont know how uncool you have to be to even care that much about this.
Last year in the us open Nadal wasnt there because she GOT injured, and Djokovic was not able to win,so please only a bit of respect for Nadal,he ido a great champion
You shouldn't rejoice too soon and I don't know why you rejoice so much because this Grand Slam doesn't have that much weight when the best tennis player in the world Nola didn't participate and that 21st Grand Slam Nadalov will always be in question and challenged in some way. But ok, rejoice a little more, because when Nole wins the 22nd Grand Slam by the end of her career, then you will all 😥

Still, he overreacted.
He has played against him, being with him most of his career and even trained him in Davis cup as captain of the spanish national team.
@@gon3808 In fact, Corretja is one of the few players who has a positive face-to-face against Nadal!

The commentators show two very different reactions to strong emotions. One of them starts yelling praise, while the other is lost for words.
