S65 and S85 are actually bulletproof I dont get the hate on them. They are hella reliable if you treat them right and know what you are getting into. Its not like buying a 1.4 tsi Golf... Of course, doing rod bearings every 80.000km is annoying but just think about what you get in return
Yah, the thing is most of the people treat them right only when it comes to push the pedal thru the ground, but when it comes to maintenance thats a different story
The concept of people in the US/NA buying Euro cars is wild. Especially performance Euro cars. Either get ready to pay through the nose for servicing and repairs or start brushing up on your mechanic skills.
