Hi, l have a plain natural concrete driveway/ unpainted. Would l need to primer the surface before applying your product or will it need to coats of colour before sealing. Any advice would be appreciated.
You would not need a primer, the sealer will be mixed with the colour during the sealing process. Please contact us through our website for more specific advice. Regards, Rick@Smartseal
Hello Ryan, the product is solvent based. You can reduce the density of the colour by 'thinning' it with clear sealer (solvent). If you need specific advice on this, please get in touch via our website. Samples are also available. Regards, Josh@Smartseal
We supply a specific coloured sealer for Paving Slabs, called Patio ColourSeal you can see the 'how to' guide on RUclips channel. This is a thinner viscosity that will soak better into Patio Slabs. Hope that helps. Jacob@Smartseal
Block Magic, will change the colour completely if you wanted to create a uniform colour. Unfortunately we do not ship to the US. Regards, George@Smartseal
If they are old concrete precast slabs that are quite porous then yes, we would always recommend purchasing a sample and applying to a test area 1st. Hope that helps! Regards, Rick@Smartseal
It is the brickwork on houses that needs to 'breathe' not block paving. Yes, we have a main agent in Ireland, based in Enniskillen. Regards, Rick@smartseal
We do supply a range of coloured roof coatings. You can see a related video on our channel. The product is available through our website. Jake@Smartseal
Hi Jen, thanks for your question. Yes you can, the more worn the original colour is, the easier it is to re-colour. Normally 1 coat is enough, but no more than 2 will be required. Samples are available to try through the website.
Hello David, we have an alternative product (slightly different formulation) Patio ColourSeal (sample available) I would suggest giving that a try - www.smartseal.co.uk/sealers/patio-sealer/patio-color-seal-5-litre.htm Hope that helps ,Regards, George @Smartseal
Smartseal UK Ltd went go website tried go ring number but number does not exist, want to buy but don't know if I can trust without speaking to some one
Hi Rev, we would certainly not advise that, for indian stone/slate you should use a 'colour enhance' this will leave the stone looking 'damp' and bring out the natural colours. You can see information on this type of product at www.smartseal.co.uk and DIY video ruclips.net/video/R70PQ7y0ysM/видео.html. Hope that helps. Regards, Smartseal Support
@@SmartsealUk yes josh we have a red brick garden laid with black border I was thinking of just going all black with it, but I see yous do a red also I just have to decide on that part, 😀 would you have any advice on this thanks
Hi Mike, no, the concentrate of colour would be to strong and might peel off. We do supply a range of colour tints for a presscrete driveway. This video should be helpful ruclips.net/video/rDh3mj0gjz4/видео.html See www.smartseal.co.uk/sealers/imprinted-concrete-sealer/ for products. Regards, Nigel@Smartseal
When we put artex on our ceilings years ago it was regarded then as fantastic stuff now people want it removed as it is shit , now we want to cover over our driveway as the blocks are a bit faded ,painting your drive is creating the artex of the future and no one will want it
Hello, Thanks for your comment. Please be aware, this is a coloured sealer, not a paint. It is formulated to give a new lease of life to old block paving that has been down 20-30 yrs+ and has lost all its colour. For some people it provides a cost effective alternative to replacing the entire drive or patio. Hope that helps. Josh@Smartseal
Thanks for your feedback. We do also supply the product in Black. Alternatively some of the Black can be added to the Grey to create a darker colour. Hope that helps, Alex@Smartseal
Hello Valerie, In theory yes, but to ensure compatibility we would suggest applying a sample to a small test area and leaving it for a month to ensure no adverse reaction. Hope that helps! Regards, Rick@Smartseal
Fantastic looking product, can't believe the difference.
Thanks for your comments, much appreciated. Rick@Smartseal

Is it water based or solvent based? I want to thin the product down a bit so its not such a strong colour - have you tried that before?
