We love to hear from folks who fish a lot, feel free to join our forum if you have some time to share. community.vastoverland.com The whole idea is to eventually have more meetups.
Glad you liked it, let me know if you catch anything good! The people at Bridge Bait were BEYOND nice to us never having even met them before. Of course thats how we are in Texas.
@VastOverland no sir. Not sure what direction you came from, but before you get to big surfside bridge where bridge bait is at, there's a bucces, so when your headed towards bridge bait, and after bucces there's a caution light turn left and your on levee road, and all down the canal on right side, you can walk it, flounder in there during winter.
@VastOverland and bryan beach, you'd have to drive though city of freeport. But last trip there the entrance to beach had real soft sand might need 4 x4 . Wants you hit entrance if you go rite is bryan beach, if go left and Quintana beach, there's a jetties on Quintana, most time water is prettiest on surfside, and more beach to fish
Hi guys just subscribed to your channel. Got a little FYI for you if you catch a hardhead and get stung by it can cause your hand to cramp up.but if you rub the body of the fish on the injurie it will go away. It has its own built in anti venom medicine. True fact I've done it myself. Tite lines and bent rods.
So the top and the two sides, I have always heard those have a bit of venom/slime. I got poked by the top spine as a kid and thought I was going to lose my finger lol.
@ iv gotten a huge one stuck in my arm a when I was younger and it hurt like all get out. Where it got me looked like a gulf ball was in my skin. The next day it went down but was very painful.
I am looking up Indianola Fishing Marina and man that spot looks cool. They even have food! Man that does look like a cool spot for a meetup. I am going to make a post about it on our community forum and maybe we can let a few know when we go and we can fish together. Kind of thinking this weekend one day if the weather is looking good. Great suggestion!!!
Thank you. It was a great catch for me. My father always spoke about big black drums and now I finally caught one. It’s so fun to hang with Eduardo on these trips I hope he can always find time to go.
We will for sure be back soon. One member on our forum just mentioned trying Surfside beach near there which is just down the road from there. He caught a good size slot red there the other day. Where do you fish down there?
@VastOverland yes sir jetty shack, and good fishing rite there, up and down the road where jetty shack is, past it is old coast guard station, good fishing there too
@ the bigger the better but they are not regulated. I sometimes cook them while I’m fishing/camping. They are also good bait. You guys need to fry some up. Tight lines
