What struck me about this video is how the heck would those seven - or at least the last five that didn't call MORR - have gotten out if Matt and Paul had not happened along? Those were tough pulls and pretty technical, so most other rigs would have just buried themselves in the sand if they tried to help. I sure hope the lake fills up again.

I agree. I recently watched a video on another channel where a dad was driving very scenic trails in Colorado with his two kids in the vehicle. Kid in the back seat had her face buried in a tablet playing games for the whole video, and kid in the front seat was also playing games on a tablet and periodically mugging and making faces at the camera while dad was describing something about the trail. I don't think either one of them ever looked out the window. The contrast between those two kids and the kids I see on Matt and Paul's channels was like night and day. Good kids come from good parents.

I remember riding my ATV downhill on a fire road through deep packed snow in the high California mountains, it was fun until I hit the stream and discovered that my quad immediately dug in and sank in the deep snow when I needed power to climb out of the stream. It took me hours of winching it from tree to tree on the road bank to get out alive, I was all alone and could have easily died in the mountains that night. I learned to never ride downhill again in low traction conditions because you may never get back up out of it. Thank God for my Warn winch and some beers that got me through a terrible rainstorm and poor decision making that day.
