If you are avoiding using the Onan due to "valuable" propane consumption, consider getting an Extend-a-stay to allow connecting an external propane cylinder or tank, and mount a 30lb cylinder on your cargo trailer.
After using the Onan a lot this past weekend, I'm surprised at how little propane it uses. It uses about 25% of the tank when running for 5 hours to power the rooftop A/C in 90+ degree heat.
What viscosity of engine oil do you use? I have just purchased a truck camper with this generator and at the 20 hour mark. The user’s manual is not very clear on what viscosity oil to use. There is a table but it’s like a gap in the temperature coverage. Online I have read 10W-30 and also 15W-40. Any advice? I am in the southeastern US, where we have some temps below freezing but more concerned with the summer heat extremes.

@@deltabravo1257 That's sounds like a good bit less than the older 2500LP non-inverter model I have under my 21ft Bigfoot trailer.
