I've been trying to learn Spanish to impress my Latino friends
They call me a Duogringo
Lmao thats clever
Micheal, is that you
I'm not Latino but I'm gonna start using that
😂😂😂
I would be way too pleased with myself for coming up with something that good.
It doesn’t mean boogers, “mocos” mean boogers. “Mocoso” means someone with boogers/someone covered in boogers. Often used to call a child stupid/inexperienced or a brat😅
Thank you.😁
Yeah, he looked it up and said it meant brat.
Booger in English also means stupid child or brat lol "come here you little booger" or also bugger, as pronunciations are different from state to state in the us
You mean snotty? It's the literal translation.
@@1972TJJ they gave a more in depth explanation tho
When you speak two languages but start losing vocabulary in both of them…
Byelingual
I love it. 😂
Means brat...
😂😂😂
😂😂
Lmao! Too good. I’m gonna use that.
I really think Drew is doing something incredible and game-changing in stand up comedy and deserves way more recognition. It's like he's completely doing his own style where it is mostly all improv with the audience and hecklers and he even goes fishing for shit to start with people just to get him going and play with it. I love this dude.
Totally agree 💯
He's not doing something game changing. And he definitely does deserve more recognition.
I love this guy!!! And I’m so proud of how far he’s come!!
Lmao. It’s called crowd work and it’s been a thing for standup comedians forever 😂😂
@@zombi3beach401 yes we know what it is, but his sets are almost entirely made of it. Idk why you think you have to laugh at me just because I find that unique and different from what most comedians do with 90% prepared material.
About the spelling thing: in Spanish we don't usually spell full words, most of the time when someone asks how something is spelled we just say "as it sounds", because Spanish is much more consistent in its spelling than English. Or the answer could also be "with a C" or "with a V", because C and S are pronounced the same in most accents, same for B with V. So the guy probably didn't catch the fast spelling in English because we're just not used to that in Spanish
K?
@El Tercero shut up you're 3rd place 😂😂😂
That's very informative. Thank you for your insight!
I totally agree. I used to live in Iceland and they would speak English but spell English words in Icelandic sounds. For example English "e" is Icelandic "i". I always just gave up spelling.
@@ericolens3 Yeah, C and K also get the same treatment. Like, someone named Karla, instead of Carla, would have to say "Karla, with K."
Also, in Latin America, not only is C sometimes pronounced like an S, but Z is *always* pronounced like an S. For instance, "cervezas" (meaning, "beers") is pronounced: "serr-VEH-sass", but "Cavazos" (which is a last name) is pronounced: "Kah-VAH-soss".
Oh! And also X is pronounced as either S (i.e. "Xóchitl" is pronounced: "SOH-chee-tull"), as a hard H sound (i.e. "México" is pronounced: "MEH-Heekoh"), or as an actual X (i.e. "Calixto" is pronounced: "cah-LEEKS-toh").
Such a fun interaction :) Saw a comedian at Yuk Yuks years ago (way back in the early 90s) and our table was right up at the front, and he had us howling. But the rest of the bar didn't really get his comedy, so he was like "okay, fuck you guys, I'm doing a joke just for them!" and he came down to our table and did a couple of minutes just for us. It was great! He even took something I said in reaction and added it to his routine :)
If you look up cup cake riot ypu will see some early early stuff with drew him and those boys were hilarious back in the day he has grown so much.
I love it when you you laugh and have fun with audience members. Your giggles are infectious. :)
I'm thinking "brat" like "snot-nosed kid," so mocoso makes sense
I absolutely love when Drew is in that fun wholesome mindset. I feel like it suits him so very well!
I love his high pitched laugh, adorable.😊
Audience members like this guy are what make comedy clubs better than your average 'stadium show'. The intimacy of the audience getting to give a quick comedian material just makes it so much better, and I have to say Drew has probably impressed me the most with how well-trained his wit is. It's a truly majestic thing to witness when a comedian gets to just 'run with it' and tip the whole show on its ear. Been following Drew since AGT, and he truly is going to be a defining comic of this generation of stand-up. Him, Sam Comroe, and one or two others are the master class on fast wits.
And don't think I didn't catch the 'B-word chair' in the background, Drew.
Man, you've gotten soooo good at controlling your stuttering, I saw you 2 years ago, and it was kinda there, but now it's almost nonexistent, unless something crazy happens (like a speaker exploding). Great job I'm very impressed how you handled the situation, and love the jokes!
Although I'm sure you mean well it reads as a backhanded compliment, which can be hurtful.
@@nunyabizness9594 There, I think I made it better, and yeah I was meaning no harm because I am happy for how far he's come. (and I think that last part was not necessary that I wrote)
Im sitting alone in a public place and I can’t hold my laughter jezz 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
dont jezz in public.
also its jeez not jezz.
jezz is the incorrect spelling for the slang word j###, the proper term for jezz is evaculate.
@@ericolens3 And who tf asked, mocos?!
There are three comments but I only see one. That's so disappointing 😢 Oh well. He *is* very funny, it's understandable! I laugh at home and the cat's looking at me like I'm loco. 😂 Probably spelled it wrong and am now gonna get schooled.😳
@@ericolens3 okay sorry I’ll say it in my language then. ALLAH AKBAAR!!
I love how much Spanish you actually know haha 😂
Surprise!
Apparently mocoso means brat
The person who said boogers was thinking of mocos, plural of moco
Well, yes and no. Mocoso means brat, but the literal interpretation would be a person who's covered in boogers (mocos)
Exactly!
@@Lucas72928 yes, but it’s not like calling someone a booger
I just love Drew's laugh. It makes me smile.
As someone half Mexican, my cheeks hurt from laughing. 🤣
As someone zero Mexican and barely understands a word of Spanish, I was laughing so hard. 🤣
Drew your Stand ups are getting better and better keep up the great work can't wait to see you in Boise, ID tomorrow😄❤
Lucky duck, have fun!!
Can't wait!
Oh my word this dude is hilarious! His progression is amazing. Kept me rolling lol 😂 thanks for the post!
Mocoso means "snot nosed boy" and is synonymous with brat, but it doesn't mean specifically brat. Mocosa would be the femail version of the term.
It doesn't necessarily mean brat and could be used as a term of endearment as well, to describe or address kids. For example "vamos por los mocosos" would be something common a mother would say meaning "let's go get the kids" or "tengo que recoger a mis mocosos" would mean "I have to pick up my kids"
Keep in mind that different countries use the same words in different ways even when it comes to Mexicans in Mexico vs Chicanos (Americans born of Mexican decent)
means snotty. Like a snotty child. a mocoso usually refers to a kid that does not behave and throws tantrums
Hey Drew. Just wanted to say how much I respect and love your comedy. As well, I admire how far you've come through speech therapy.
Keep going man. You're killing it! ❤ From Toronto
Thanks a lot!
I love how as you're doing the bit where you're using the word mocoso "let me get that for you" and it makes the audience member at the front in the baseball cap at 4:00 unconsciously check his own nose.😂 Poor guy. I'd probably do the same thing though!
Yes!! Loving the stand up clips. Makes me so happy to see a new one come out. You’re awesome Drew!
I LOVE THE BANANA CHAIR!
WAY TO OWN IT DREW. I’m a Huge fan and it’s an honor to be a fan. I Love everything you put out (not like that you dirty freak) and I got blessed to see you live. Personally you’re in my top 5 all time. You truly are an inspiration to me and so many. 👏
Drew cracks me up when he starts laughing! It shows how much fun he has. He's also a master at handling audiences. His interaction is great but he also keeps control of the interaction. This dude is straight up hilarious. Love Drew!
I absolutely adore how you interact with the audience-you’re the best!!❤❤
3:22 That has to be one of the funniest things I've heard in my life. Just a kid adding glitter to a finished project
I was at the Idaho Falls show laughing 2 hours straight on a Sunday. Set up the whole work week, great time!
Drew’s laugh is the best! I can have the worst day ever and I watch one of his clips and his laugh always gets me and makes me laugh. It is so contagious. I’ve seen him in person and I can’t wait until he comes back around where I live so I can see him again.
The ending is wholesomeee
This has been such a good heckle !
It means snotty. Like literally. In every way of the word.
I saw one video about you and now you are my top 5 favorite comedians.
Same!
This is why people yelled booger
Mocosos brats
Mocoso brat
Mocos mucus
Moco booger
dude, i had no idea you had that accident and a studder. literally just saw that agt video this morning, been watching your show clips for a while tho. eitherway wicked impressed with your progress/healing. you rock!
You, like your comedy, has matured quite a bit since the last time I looked you up. You're twice as funny now and even more handsome 😘 Great stuff!
as a gringo who served in a mexican restaurant for the first time and being called "pendejo"
I picked up Spanish quicker than in High School classes.
We just watched your Eugene Oregon performance and it.. was.. amazing! Thank you!!!!
Legendary crowd work skills
Mocoso = mucus = snotty kid = brat?
It's implying you look stupid as if you have mocos coming out your nose. It's not just for annoying kids i think most of the comments are used to calling their siblings that
Yes
Drew you had me laughing at your laughing at yourself! That is me, I make a lot of people laugh, but I laugh at myself with them! By the way, I had to go look up the other word you have gotten hit with mops over. I was trying to talk to my doctor Monday, and I got stuck on the word "it" and kept repeating it over and over. I kept seeing you in my brain trying to say "bananas". I have to say, at least the words you get stuck on have more than one syllable. Imagine watching someone get stuck on "it". It-it-it-it-it-it-it... We believe the reason for my stuttering is being forced from left-handed to right-handed. They are now figuring out that it causes people to stutter when you change their dominant hand.
Yep, they tried to make me right handed but I was too stubborn. I did stutter for a while after that though.
"Fresh Latinos" 😂😂😂😂 He soo wanted to say something else. When I heard he needed subtitles since he can't spell I lost it.
This had me crying... 🤣
He's just googling the spelling of a word in a foreign language, not even a joke, and it's still entertaining enough for the audience and the viewers here on youtube!
Drew, your crowd work is 11/10. 😅
Thank you for this!
Was already subscribed by now....but that "escribe" line broke me. Officially got the bell checked!
if he took off his jacket, he would melt into the background. He would be a disembodied head! 😂 love him! Just noticed this and cracked up
As a noun mocoso can mean either brat or punk.
As an adjective it means snotty or snotty-faced
Come tour over the pond love to see you in London
This is such a great interaction haha
Haven’t watched you in a few years, amazing to see the progress on your stuttering!
This and the translator clip both make me laugh when you realise how much spanish you know lol
its like when you have a japanese friend and u get a tattoo and they tell u it means something awesome then they secretly laugh behind your back and u find out years later it means something embarassing haha
aww wholesome heckle
Bruh, I love you man lmao
Perfect way to start the spring break 😊😊
this was not the video to watch at work, turns out laughing when someone calls in or while on the phone not good lmao, ive gotta try and catch one of your shows one day
the "commas above the letters" got me
I love drew the best thing he ever did was go on AGT he is sooooo fucking funny he really has turned what started out as negative situation for himself into a positive situation for himself like the saying goes every cloud has a silver lining i have loved him ever since i watched his first audition on AGT
i love how i've lived in like half the places your going to but not going where I moved to. i fucked up clearly
I guess a better translation would be "snot face"
Spanish is a Romance language and English uses a lot of romance language words. Mucus in this case is likely where mocos and mocoso came from.
I just rewatched your preform on I think it was agt and the dif between the stuttering then and now is crazy u have done so fing well man
These jokes were on the verge of iffy for me as a Latina.
which one
Dude!!! That banana chair is fire!!!
The way you say Spanish words counts as a second speech impediment.
Mocoso is "snotty or snot-nosed brat"
I love that banana chair
God I love Drew 🤣
Great video as always, but I have one question:
Where did you get that awesome banana chair??!!??
So we are ignoring the towels that just semmed into reailty on his shoulder for the rest fo the clip?
Dree Lynch please come to California man! It be awesome to see you in July for my 34th bday. I been a long time fan your freaking hilarious.
Boogers is Mocos in spanish
When he calls out the white people 😂😂
Love it lol, got me laughing so much
Great stuff as usual!
😂😂😂😂AS A LATINA...THIS GUY IS😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😊
I recognize this Denver adjacent Comedy Works.
Today I learnt mocosos in Spanish means brat and mocosos in Latin means snotty (boogers)
and your down this road again my dear! lol
At middle school they teach you curse words in Spanish making you think it means thank uoi
Banana chair! Wait.. my bad Drew..
In slang it means spoiled brat...
Did you mean to match your shirt with the background? 😂
I think it’s(Me)coso, because I like to be involved 😂
Greatest diss
Mocoso means brat
I laughed so hard I got a cramp behind my shoulder blade lol
I want that banana chair
Hey Drew! I remember you from AGT. Your stutter have improved verry much
If you didn't check the translation will normally added other possible meanings. This one is brat, snotface, runny, etc.
Love the short haircut Drew!😜
Ha ha love your audience interactions.
Come to the Helium Comedy Club in Buffalo NY.. put in on the Tour list Next Year ! Please and Thank You
this was great
I was there that night!
I thought it was used to call someone a brat. 😂
it is, ur right
Thanks!
TIL rather than calling them niños, ill call them mucosos.
ME: ¿cuantos mucosos tienes, Señora?
Señora: tengo, trea mucosos, perdoname, tengo 3 angelés. 😅😂
"ijo de MOCOSO!"
Doesnt have the same ring to it now does it?
I looked up the meaning of Mocoso in the first thing that came up with snot nosed little bastard or Brat
That’s exactly what it means. The literal translation is snot-nosed, but the actual use of the word is “brat.”
