LOVE YOUR SHIRT, WE ALL HAVE OUR WHOSOEVERS,MINE ARE MY SONS . ONE IS SAVED THE OTHER IS MY WHOSOEVER IN SALVATION ! THANK YOU FOR THE BEAUTIFUL SONG, CHRIS IS AMAZING ! Favorite Christian song Who am I !
I think you would like "Farther Along" by Leslie Jordan ft. Chris & Morgane Stapleton. You get to see the adorable Leslie, hear Morgane sing a verse solo & then watch Chris stand with his hands in his pockets & burn the room down. BTW during Covid lockdown Leslie did tons of videos for his "fellow hunker-downers" to help keep spirits up. Then he did an album of hymns - duets of him & various singers. This is one of them.
One of the reasons we chose this song to play at our daddy’s funeral was because this is how my daddy was. He had a wife and three children and he worked two and three jobs to support us. And all three of his children went through those stages of rebellion where we thought we were right and he was wrong. At the end of the day he was right! I was blessed to be with my daddy when he left this world. I love you Daddy!!!
It's been 5 yrs now and if I close my eyes I can still go back to that scene. Me as a child and daddy saying grace before we could eat and yes everything was right when he said grace...
This song hits me at my core, not because of my birth father but for my mother's brother my Uncle Ralph to whom I owe a lot of thankfulness for making me the man I am. Were it were not for my uncle Ralph I would probably be in prison or long ago dead. His teachings and his teaching by example kept me from taking the wrong path. Nor many people knew my uncle Ralph like I did. It might surprise a lot of people that he was very spiritual and close to the Lord. He studied the bible and every book on the bible he could get his hands on. Uncle Ralph did many things that made some who did not know him think that he was a fool. Uncle Ralph would help anyone who asked him and he helped many who did not ask him. He made a good living most of his life but left this world leaving very few material things behind and he did not live a life of ease. Uncle Ralph would help people that he knew would never pay him back and he never expected anyone he helped to pay him back. This is but one example of how uncle Ralph lived his life by the Lord's word and expectations of his children. Uncle Ralph rarely prayed in sight of others but many times when I would walk by his bedroom door I would see him sitting on the side of the bed with his hands together and his head bowed down in prayer. I followed uncle Ralph's examples and teachings as closely as I could. He did not simply make me a man, he made me a Lord loving man. I am nothing special I did not achieve anything great but, I am thanks to uncle Ralph a man. So one day uncle Ralph did not pray anymore but he didn't need to he was talking directly to the Lord and the Father. My favorite hymns are "In the Garden" and "Whispering Hope". ✝
I had been in a Chris Stapleton kick for a while, downloaded all his albums but that song didnt come up in the playlist until about a month after my father passed in 2019. Hit me like a ton of bricks on my way home from work, nearly had to pull over the car.
Chris wrote this song in 15 minutes, while his wife was getting dressed for an outing. Amazing! We played this song at my Daddy’s Funeral about three years ago. It was the last song we played before they took his body out to the grave. I love this man and all of his songs!
Hey man, I've said this very thing from the second I heard him. If he did a gospel album like Alan Jackson did with Beulah Land(my favorite all-time song) as a single would be the greatest album ever! Glad someone else shares this feeling GOD BLESS
I found this video while I was searching for an instrumental version of this great song. It brings me to tears every single time, and watching your video, it felt nice to cry together. What a powerful song. I LOVE Chris Stapleton, since recent, since a friend of mine asked me to sing his Tennessee Whiskey song. Now I am listening to him most daily! Thank you for your vision on Chris' story. I subscribed to your channel, and look forward to more of your video's!
I have no idea if this song is mainstream but it's a hymn we sang in a small church I grew up in and it has influenced me often the words are "oh Lord help me be merciful to others just as you've been merciful to me. Hear me when I call keep me lest I fall into the pits from which you've set me free oh Lord help me merciful to others just as you've been merciful to me." With this song in my soul I find it easier to walk away from trouble.not to be as judgemental of others and to be a bit more empathetic of another's situations even the ones I'm unaware of but potentially could be there
Chris, Morgane, and Leslie Jordan sing "Farther Along" which brings back so many memories for me. My mom's choir used to sing this hymn a lot when I was growing up. Beautiful hymn. Enjoyed your reaction.
One of my favorite Chris song , I honestly never saw, heard, or witness any prayer from my father. Tore me internally because I loved him I guess unconditionally to realize his protection for us never cross his mind...Sad
That's super SAD. My dad disappeared and I can't recall him ever protecting me with prayer either. I was fortunate to have a grandpa to stand in the gap.
We always need to pray especially in these trying times. Thanks for sharing Chris’s song, one of my favorites! My favorite songs are In The Garden, Amazing Grace, I’ll fly away, Precious Lord I could go on and on.. Have you ever listened to Joey and Rory hymns!🥰🥰 Also Leanne Rhymes singing Amazing Grace acapella. It truly is AMAZING. Again thanks. God bless!
Thanks for the reaction video Chris is my favourite country / blusey soul singer. Can you react to Chris Cornel singing “Nothing compares to you” it’s insane and this song was original written by Prince and made famous by Sinead O’Connor
Chris wrote this song right after the death of his father. It was a way of helping him to heal and honor his father. It's a very beautiful song. (Precious Lord) 😥😇🙏🙏💞
FYI: I believe Mickey Raphael played harmonica on this one. Thought he should have some credit, I can't play but I love listening to a great harmonicist. Nice reaction video. :-)
@@mikebeasley9793 Thank you for clarifying what I didn’t. Yes Chris is the world’s greatest in most every way! I completely agree with you. I was speaking of Tim. Most giving reactions don’t give enough credit to others playing or singing brilliantly on videos (if deserved). Even sometimes the producer of the video should get a high five. Thanks again for fixing my goof up. 😊
Thanks for uploading. If you have a second come check out my cover of Dan and Shay - I'm a singer/songwriter and think you may dig my sound. Really appreciate it!

J. Whisper, I am not asking you to respect any specific religion. I asked that you be respectful to others that do believe. I am far from being an "idiot" as implied; I am actually well educated. A weak comparison/argument was given on yout behalf. It just sounds like you have a deeper hurt, so praying for you I will continue to do. Have a fabulous day.
Taking a turn musically for the next few episodes. Chris Stapleton is a master storyteller. Enjoy!
Beautiful. I cried as I listened to this song.
This song moves me every time I hear it. I miss my Daddy. I remember that strong quiet man with tears dripping off his face. What a wonderful memory.
I'll fly away and How Great thou art are up there for me

It Is Well With My Soul - the most beautiful hymn ever written in my opinion
Love that one too!
Old rugged cross. My favorite singing as kid in church.

“Go Rest High On That Mountain” by Vince Gill ☮️❤️🌻👵🏼
I wish Chris and Morgan would do a Gospel Album. Imagine him singing Beulah Land.
I would be a WRECK!
W, Gregg Howze, I agree that would be awesome. The thought of Chris singing Beulah Land, or Amazing Grace, sends chills up my spine.
Check out Marty Raybon's(Shenandoah) version of Beulah land.

Chris Stapleton's version of Nothing Compares To You is better than Chris Cornell's.

Power in the Blood. When I Can Read My Title Clear.

His dad passed away. That is why he doesn't pray anymore
Thanks for your thoughts.
At the cross
yes, at the cross.
Pick a Bluegrass Hymn but my absolute favorite is Daniel Prayed.
Nice. thanks!
Ricky scaggs and pattie Lovelace sing it great
That's not a Steel it's a harmonica.
Because daddy died, that's why.
Morgane
I'm late. But the obvious best hymn is The Son Of God Goes Forth To War (but you need people who know their parts to make it sound best)
It's a great song but not the best in my opinion
Check out Believe by Brooks and Dunn
