now that these 3 are gone...i somehow feel guil;ty for not admitting my love for them as musicians when they were on top or admitting how much i really loved thier music.Shame on me
I first heard the music of The Bay City Rollers in 1975 in December age 19 ! I got the record album that had the song Saturday Night ! I got that record album for Christmas of 1975 !
My older, more sophisticated cousin introduced me to them when I was 10 yrs old. I instantly fell in love with Eric. My musical taste has since expanded and evolved but my God they are as good as I had remembered. Eric was soooooo good looking! I still got butterflies watching this now at 52 years old!! They are REALLY good!! Still annoys me they weren’t more respected as musicians.
Remember my friend's older sister was in high-school and turned us onto the BCR. Loved the music at 8 years old. They were just cool then. Her bedroom was adorned with their posters and teen beat magazines. Great times listening to them and hanging out by the pool 👍💯👍😎 music was great then and still holds up now.
Yes, he did break a lot of hearts-mine included. He was real-human. He experienced a great deal of trauma in his life, and hardship. Despite all appearances to the contrary, he had little self-esteem. Much of his trauma and demons plagued him throughout his life pre-, post-Rollers. Understanding him as a real person, and as an adult myself, I think I love him even more. I certainly respect him.
My Aunt was Mike Douglass liaison between Group W and Westinghouse Broadcasting and I met The Bay City Rollers in there first U.S. appearance WHICH was giving to The Mike Douglas Show not American Bandstand, Johnny Carson, Merv Griffin or ant others Just Mike Douglas.
This is the first time I heard this song and this song was always my favorite and I loved it because love songs from pilot and bay city rollers sing the songs of love and it made me fell in love with david paton because david was always my favorite singer of love💜😍😘😊🤘🌟

Yes, I agree fully.
YES!
Who knew that faking your music, lip syncing and not even playing your instruments, could be so bad for your health.

My grandmother and I would watch the Bay City Rollers every Saturday morning on television. I still have some of their records.
I have their albums too. Do you remember the name of the show they were on, on Saturdays? For the life of me I can't remember.
Sweet Ian ❤️ Stole my 15 year old heart back then! Rest in peace💔
I'll miss them forever been with them long time
R.I.P. Les. How I loved you when I was ten years old! Thank you for all the golden memories.

This song was always my favorite. I use to listen to this song all day. Great music to the bay city rollers🎸🎸💖💖💖😊😊😊😉😉👍👍👍
I know the band was geared towards teeny bopper girls but even I as a male back then liked this song when it was on the radio/charts.
We lost 3 beautiful legends . I was a big fan back in the day .
Sweet memories

Rest In Peace Les McKeown. You broke a lot of hearts in the 70s and upon your passing. A true pop idol.
I hope you know that he never existed!
I agree fully. He was a Pop Star and very interesting 4 girls & boys also!

This performance is more proof that air-bands have been around since at least the 70s 😎😎
BCR. Top. My youth.
You know what's the most amazing thing about this band? That they can get sound out of electric guitars that aren't plugged in.

Loved Eric I wanted those pants so badly
Les was the band. The others could hardly play but looked the part. Mostly sessions musicians used on their albums.
❤😢
I always loved Eric .❤ But I also found Derek intresting,as well as Woody😊🤗
Bay City Rollers are teen rock. One personality of a rock station said "Money Honey" was legitimate rock song.
That was a good one. They actually had some decent rock sings towards their later years. Not a total fluff band.
I can't get past the Les's unbuttoned pants and a mysterious shape just below that....
He does confess, in his book, to NOT wearing underwear!!
