I think they did put more effort into "new challenger's" themes. Cammie's and Fei Long's are especially amazing. Some original characters' themes are not memorable at all.
Only good themes are the new ones (mexico, hong kong, jamaica, the akuma one and most of all, england). The remaking of the old themes is terrible in my opinion. Those old themes were specially made for the first CP System and it shows.

the CPS1 sounds terrible to me in comparison. its hard to listen to the Final Fight OST because of it. SNES is okay though.
