at least the SPX patch card has an actual design to it, unlike most UD patch cards.

Good point, and it's really down to crazy market prices. Distributor markups are insane on 23-24 right now, my distributor wants $25 a box MORE than retail for 23-24 artifacts right now.
There will be more coming for sure I just need to be strategic about where and when it's worth buying.

@hitboxsportscards makes sense. My local shop has already said they don't even know if they will be getting as many boxes as last year of some of the other 23-24 products due to the prices. It looks like they will not be as bad at series 2, but still high.
@@christopherworks400 yeah it's a bit crazy. I'm always trying to balance availability, desirability and value. Feedback helps steer those decisions though so I really do appreciate it.

Quality of series 2 in 21-22 wasnt great either.
I opened numerous boxes where every card after the hit was missing the embossing.
Hits were fine, it was only base cards, but still.

@@hitboxsportscards oh deff holding it, my mom and I have ripped together since I was a kid in the 90s and we’ve never pulled a 1/1 before so it’s got some sentimental value for sure. Just curious what people think the value might be. We also had a Bedard in the same box 🤙 just a base rookie but still

We had a Silver outburst Carlson pulled last month and I know his prices are very strong right now, it's about $75+ up to $225 or so in a PSA 10.
No idea what his 1/1 is worth, none have sold yet.
