The frequent injuries he's sustained over the years it's going to put doubt in people's minds... But as they say, great champions always find a way and bounce back... even at 36 years young. definitely has at least 2 even maybe 3 years at the top I would say. I wouldn't rule him out that's for sure. Djokovic about the same, although he's a year younger so who knows. Only a handful of younger player's coming through, if that, and one's in their prime are edging closer, but they still way behind and can't topple at least 2 of the big three (Nadal, Djokovic) and probably never will. Big question mark over Federer now

I wouldn’t put it over the 2013 match of course but it was definitely a terrific match. What I will say is this version of Nadal (minus foot injury) is a more complete version than that 2013 version. All that version of Nadal could do was spam forehands and great defense and Rocky esque heart and stamina. At 36, he still has the forehand and defense, but now he can serve and volley, play at the net, he can serve a little bigger now even. His tennis is more polished now and its a shame he never played this tennis before in his prime because even this diminished version of him, one more serious injury away from retirement, can still win Grand Slams.

Nek Ant sometimes even if the match is being shown live I’m too nervous to watch! It’s better than I could have dreamed of so far 2022, winning the first 2 grand slams (I was so nervous at Australian Open I couldn’t start watching the final until the 5th set and it was so nerve wracking) he’s played some of his best tennis at AO was so unlucky to only win once so it was amazing he won slam 21 at the most statistically speaking unlikeliest venue. He had to dig deep in 4th French Open and no pundits were giving him a chance against Djokovic in the quarterfinals. I’ve never seen the sweat pour off him as bad as the semifinal that was a titanic battle. I’m pretty sure he would have won the second set tie break and then doubled down to close it in 3 sets but Zverev was playing very well. I perhaps thought the final might be tougher but with Ruud not playing him before I knew he’d struggle to deal with Rafa’s spin but in the end the final was pretty easy for Rafa. His last 2 Wimbledon appearances he reached semifinals so I’m hoping the magic continues and he wins his 3rd Wimbledon and 23rd slam. That would really annoy Djokovic as Rafa would have taken all 3 2021 slams off him. As it stands Djokovic won’t be allowed to play US Open as he hasn’t been jabbed.

Like another one-handed Roger always used a lot of slices just because one-handed backhand being more aggressive still stays lesser reliable especially on high balls and takes more time for preparation, so when your backhand is under pressure slice is the option. Sure, late Federer in a lack of physics had to use slice much more often but he also started using slice as an offensive shot e.g. to pull an opponent to the half-position and so provoke him for unmotivated net rush or to prepare his own. He introduced back extremely aggressive serve response aka SABR forgotten in earlier 80s, he started using a lot of dropshots even from forehand... and finally did you see much of net playing from him in 00s even on the grass... if you remember Roger started exactly as serve-n-volley player but then he stepped on the throat of his own song to win... but late Federer took care that his rivals always kept in mind who is the daddy when Roger gets to the net... just like late Rafa lets them know that his forehand overrun does not mean indispensable topspin in the area and they should protect the diagonal with all the care if don't wanna ensure that Rafa also has extremly powerful and surgically precise flat on his forehand. Late Roger relayed much more on his wisdom, on his tactics, on psychological pressure to an oppenent than on his technique decayed in a lack of physics and he also started using all these dirty tricks like the medical timeout in 5th set of AO-2017 final.

Roger with forehand never slow down the game is always one forehand speed few details now with high top spin in his forehand, Rafa can slow down or accelerated the height and speed of the ball much natural all the time, Novak can do so similar, but roger is almost so predictable, but offcourse his resources are dominated and quite dangerous

YOU DESERVE THIS AS NO ONE ELSE - YOUR WONDERFUL GAME, BEAUTIFUL TENNIS - I WANT TO SAY A BIG THANK YOU !!! I won't pretend to be extremely happy, because I'm always heartbroken when Nole loses ... But I will get it back together again ... However, I think that we are extremely lucky that we had and have the opportunity to watch tennis, at a time when the best three of the greatest are playing in this beautiful sport. Nadal is right - together they have created a magnificent piece of history. I think that they appreciate it sometimes even more than some of the fan base. I don't know if you guys follow their " comments" that they post to each other before games. Those brief conversations of theirs speak for everything. The respect that they have for each other is enormous. It is often us fans and press that are looking for sensationalism. Well... Today my dear Nole got defeated ... I feel sad ( whenever he loses, my mood isn't one of the greatest). But having a chance to watch such a tennis I can sum up in only one way. I sincerely appreciate, say thank you and I wish all the best !!! Keep playing as long as possible!!! Greetings to you all sincerely :-)

The odds of Novak winning this year's FO is higher than ever, considering the conditions that favor him (night match at FO), Nadal's not in-form movements, and the time they spent on the match prior. And yet, Nadal delivered. Hypothetically, Novak should win this match. However, such is only a hypothesis: something that is similar to the what ifs that Novak may have won AO 2022. My love for Nadal is uncanny and it's always been since the beginning. All of that said it occurred to me after all the banter and the rivalry that neither Rafa nor Novak would be special without each other. The relationship, the rivalry, the unflinching desire to continue and to play as hard as they both have is what makes them both so special and so magnificent to watch. Over the many years to be granted such an amazing gift to watch Novak, Federer and Nadal compete on the level they have each given us and more importantly given each other is truly something to marvel in and to appreciate above all else. As tennis lovers we are truly special to be witnessing the closing of undoubtedly the greatest time in open history and the history of the game. To that I thank the (3). I am truly grateful for the thrills and the grit and fortitude given to be great champions and to press on with the same desire and hope to win.

Rafa showed lot of resilience in the 4th set,i thought the decider is inevitable now but Rafa played some exceptional and unbelievable tennis when it mattered the most.Novak too had his chances but couldn't capitalised on those.
