Hello Garnet, I'm pleased that the vids brought back memories to you about Romsey. It's a lovely town. Tx for watching the vid and taking the time to comment, much appreciated :) Best wishes, Rob
I watched your two videos because I am contemplating moving to Romsey and wanted to see what the town is really like. Wonderful footage and information. The area is just what I am looking for. Great to see it in real life and not just photos. Thank you so much for taking the time to make these vids.
Hello videosrus99. I am so pleased that you found the Romsey videos interesting and helpful. Romsey is a lovely town with lots going on. If you decide to move there, I hope you will be very happy. Tx for taking the time to comment, much appreciated :) best wishes, Rob
The memorial park is really beautifully maintained 👍 and the area around the River Test is perfect for a walk. Beautiful. I'll check the first part asap. (Almost 1000 subs!)
Tx Darko. It's a nice park and the River Test is one of the cleanest rivers in the country. Yes, 1,000 is tantalisingly close! It's very frustrating when I lose subs though. When you have a small number of subscribers, you can see each 'unsubscribe'. Hopefully get there next month
Hello, my friend! Very interesting and informative content! Happy to know something new! Tua la a lot for this so pleasant and enjoyable share! Have a great weekend and see you soon! Renata
Another enjoyable walk you have made for us. The war horse statue is impressive and is a reminder that the Great War caused misery for horses and mules as well as for humans. And I wonder what Mountbatten was thinking when he picked something to donate to Romsey : Tank - not nice. Used field kitchen - not suitable at all. Hm..maybe a gun will do:) For those interested it is a Type 96 15 cm howitzer.
Tx for watching ANT. Yes, I too wondered why Mountbatten donated a Japanese field gun. Apparently, he kept 5 of these when the Japanese surrendered and had all the others destroyed. I wonder what happened to the other four? I will update the text below the vid with your additional 'gun' info - tx for that! All the best, Rob
Tx very much, I'm pleased that you enjoyed the walk around Romsey. It's a nice town. Tx also for watching the vid and taking the time to comment, much appreciated :)
i'm actually reading a book about the first world war now, "Endell Street" by Wendy Moore, so it was good to see the war memorial park. A lot of beer in a ton... Good street views there 👍
Tx SND. Virtually every town and village in England set up a war memorial after WW1, as so many people lost their lives. When I am doing the town walks now I always try to find the war memorial, to include in the vid. Hope all is well in your world and tx for watching the vid and taking the time to comment. All the best, Rob
Nice one. Such a lush area have been quite for the past 5 months due to health Had disembarkment syndrome bit like Captain sparrow when he is on land but ok at sea😂. but now getting better so will catch up and fire the channel up again in a few days🥂🥂
Hi Mike and Sue. Sorry to hear that Mike. Funnily enough, I thought about you yesterday and that I hadn't had any vid notifications from you for ages. I hope you're getting better now. Tx for watching my vid, much appreciated. best wishes, Rob
