after i watched you i started writing down how many stitches i do and it really helps me stay motivated and fun to keep track. i like math and am always figuring things so now i get to do that with my stitching. thanks for your ideas.
Hi Brian, okay you have tipped me over the edge. On my Wishlist is now the season samplers from Kooler Studios. They have that wonderful folky, country vibe I enjoy stitching. Thanks for sharing and happy stitching for September.
Loved seeing the update. All of floss tube is working on convincing me to start in on "And a forest grew." The accountant in me approves of your graphs! Data!!!
Brian it's great to see another one of your updates. I love "and a forest grew." I also have that chart, I purchased it on vacation at a needlework shop. The seasons sampler looks great, I especially like the bunnies. And the project bag that you made looks awesome. I can't sew either but I have managed to do a few grime guards for my q snap frames. Looking forward to your next video, happy stitching.
Another really enjoyable video. Love to see all the progress you are making on your lovely products I particularly like the scroll frame bag the fabrics is beautiful! Looking forward to the next one. Happy stitching.
Such awesome large projects...I LOVE them! You and your mom did a great job on your project bag. And a Forest Grew is on my wish list and every time I see someone stitching on it, it moves closer to the top of the list! LOL
Speaking from experience....shhh don't tell anyone my secret...the guilt of tossing a project away will subside somewhat over time lol. I had a small kit in which the floss provided was just awful to work with and didn't stitch up to my liking, so I threw it away! I've always been curious as to how many stitches I do each day/session of stitching. I cross country stitch, so it's hard to count...then I decided two weeks ago to count the symbols as I mark them off with my highlighter (HaED chart) and I write the numbers down on a notepad I'm keeping beside me. I've been really surprised at how many stitches I've been putting in some days. Like you, I'm not using it to challenge myself to improve on that, I'm just satiating my curiosity as to how much I'm getting done in numbers to complement the progress pictures. Happy stitching :-)
It is really fun to keep track, isn't it? Even though I used the word guilt, it is probably too strong a word. I have thrown out a couple of pieces and now I wish that I hadn't because I find that I would like to work on them again.
Love your frame cover! You did a great job. Love your WIP's especially "And a Forest Grew". I have quantum frames too and I love them. Happy Stitching!
Great videos! I have been discovering Flosstube while on a cross stitch, learning journey and only recently found you. I have to say thanks for the logical inspiration. As something of a novice I have been stitching very, "right brain" working on whatever color struck my fancy. As soon as I applied your diagonal concept I have been zipping along. I was even able to finish a long-time and very stale project in time for a Christmas gift to my family. You have an enlightened fan in me.
OMG I am loving your progress on your Autumn Magic. I love and have all four seasons charts of Randal's houses and the Trick or Treat one . And after seeing yours I need to get them kitted up and started on at least one of them. And your other work is truly beautiful. Looking forward to seeing more of you progress.
+Kim Hebert Thanks so much for the compliment. I love all of the Spangler houses. They are so big that it would be a monumental task to stitch all of them.
I always like watching your videos. Love your project bag and new scroll frame. Your wips, just amazing. I love And A Forest Grew. I have considered starting Rosewood Manor's newest release, the flowers Quaker. I can't remember the exact name of it!!
Hi Brian! Great projects, love the Corazon sampler. And the Forest project looks like a lot of fun. Your scroll frame bag is awesome! Also, you're totally enabling me to buy a Quantum frame. Tonight I looked at my lap stand and figured out a way to retrofit it to accommodate; time to visit home depot for supplies. Happy stitching!
Thanks for watching. I think that you would really enjoy the Quantum frame. I have an American Dream Products frame too and like the Quantum much better. You will probably have to devise some kind of clamp system to make it work with your stands.
Oh no! You have persuaded me that I must get And a Forest Grew. I love Rosewood Manor. I love ducks as well though! I would love to get some Omanik frames. Perhaps next year. Great video. Thank you.
Your project bag is amazing, much better than what I would create!! I love the size snob reference...too funny! We have our preferences don't we? I love Rosewood Manor and I look at "And a Forest Grew" every time I visit my LNS. I suspect it may fall in my cart if I keep following your progress. 😕 Lol!! Your progress is just beautiful. Spending my morning watching your videos and stitching so you have been awesome company!! Happy stitching!!
Nice to see you again!!! Your projects are looking awesome!! I look forward to seeing your September projects as well!! So happy you got a quantum frame.. They are awesome!!! Happy Stitching!!!
Hello. I heard about you on Stitcherista's latest video and had to look you up! You do lovely work. Red is a pattern that I have seen before, but seeing your progress on her really makes me admire it more. Maybe I will have to go get that one. Keep up the good work!
Great video! i can't sew a straight line to save mylife too but its good enough to make frame covers! mine are a lot simpler than yours, great job! I am glad you like the Omanik frame, they are awesome. Your seasons sampler looks great! i am happy you joined in, I understand what you mean about the tediousness of constant changing colors, but it is so pretty its worth it :-)
I am with you on the Omanik....I got one last year and I am wanting to order every size! I have noticed that once I start rolling the actual stitching into the scroll as opposed to just the fabric, the tension is a little different. I am interested in your experience once you start "scrolling" the stitching. I am thinking about lacing the sides or using stitch clips for side tension. Great video. Thank you for sharing.
I am not surprised by this as I have seen similar effects with my Lokscroll frame. I would guess that with a significant amount of stitched design rolled up on one of the bars the unstitched area would be a little loose. Thanks for watching!
great work on the scroll bag, i don't care that you can't sew a straight line: you can sew in a zipper! that's amazing haha :) And great to hear you like the quantum frames, i've been using them for a while and i think they are great too :) (i did a comparison video on them a few weeks ago) and i've just ordered a few more. Great progress on your projects, they look beautiful. I like the 'forest grew' piece a lot, may have to stick that on my wishlist ;) and i love the graphs you made, i just started keeping track of what i work on and it's a lot of fun to look back at the end of the month and see how much you've done.
Thanks. I enjoyed your comparison of the Millenium and Quantum frames. My frames were on the way and I was a little nervous when you said that they were shipped in just anything. However, mine arrived well packaged, so that must be something that they have improved on.
+blitstitch Yeah i heard someone ekse mention that too so i added a notification to that video. i'm waiting for a new set of quantum frames at the moment and will try and make a video of the packaging.
Hi Brian!! Oh my goodness, that "and a forest grew" 😍. I've been getting enabled by quite a few ppl on that one. I've held strong so far, but weakening quickly LOL
Hey, as long as the zipper works, who cares how the sewing looks,LOL! You can't tell it on the video anyway. Keep doing the things you are doing!!! :-)
Size matters LOL!!!! 😂😂😂 What a start!!! WOW! AAFG is such a fabulous project! I am so enjoying ALL of your projects!! I want to know: Does your wife still stitch?!
That is a wonderful project bag. How did you determine the amount of material you needed? I love all the stitching projects you have completed this month. I look forward to seeing your next video.
I just had a couple of yards to work with. If I wanted to be precise I could have calculated the size of the bag that I wanted to make. You need two pieces that size for the outside fabric, two pieces that size for the lining, and took pieces that size for the interfacing. Thanks for watching!
Your pronunciation of Edinburgh sounded pretty accurate :) I've heard other Flosstubers pronounce it "Edin-burg", as opposed to its actual pronunciation, "Ed-in-bu-rah"
Great video, Brian! Your wips are looking great! I love love the project bag/cover! Looks really good! I have a few quantum frames as well and I love them. Do you use a stand with them? If so, what one? Looking forward to your next video!
So enjoyed your update! I am looking forward to seeing your Christmas sampler next time as well. So glad you like your new scroll frames. Where did you order yours from?
Great stitching by the way. You may have mentioned but how do you do your rotating schedule? I've wanted to try rotating but didn't know if people changed daily, weekly, etc. Thanks for your input and your floss tubes. Just started watching through them and trying to catch up...do stalk on instagram too!
For my rotation I usually work on one project for about a week before changing. I do this because I want to stitch on it long enough to see some significant progress before I move on to another piece. Other people stitch for different amounts of time. It kind of depends on what works for you. Thanks for watching.
I have two sets of scroll bars for it. One set is 70 cm and the other is 90 cm. Also I use the 20 cm extender bars. I also have the 30 cm bars, but haven't used them yet.
Hello. I heard about you on Stitcherista's latest video and had to look you up! You do lovely work. Red is a pattern that I have seen before, but seeing your progress on her really makes me admire it more. Maybe I will have to go get that one. Keep up the good work!
I love "And a Forest Grew" - that is lovely
your family tree piece is gorgeous. and all your stitches look so straight and beautiful.
Thanks Monica.
after i watched you i started writing down how many stitches i do and it really helps me stay motivated and fun to keep track. i like math and am always figuring things so now i get to do that with my stitching. thanks for your ideas.
Thanks. It is great to hear when someone starts using my methods. I am glad that they have helped you.
great video and nice to know that I'm not the only one that can't sew a straight line to save my soul.
Thanks for watching!
Hi Brian, okay you have tipped me over the edge. On my Wishlist is now the season samplers from Kooler Studios. They have that wonderful folky, country vibe I enjoy stitching. Thanks for sharing and happy stitching for September.
Thanks. I am always glad to be of service in helping you add more projects to your wish list. :-)

Thanks. I'll try to do them soon.

Hello. I heard about you on Stitcherista's latest video and had to look you up! You do lovely work. Red is a pattern that I have seen before, but seeing your progress on her really makes me admire it more. Maybe I will have to go get that one. Keep up the good work!
Welcome to my channel. Red is a fun and quick stitch, at least it has been so far.
I've heard nothing but good things about your type of frame. Looking forward to seeing what you turn out on them! :-)
I really like my Quantum frame. It is nice and sturdy and I get great tension with it. Thanks for watching!
Great video! i can't sew a straight line to save mylife too but its good enough to make frame covers! mine are a lot simpler than yours, great job! I am glad you like the Omanik frame, they are awesome. Thanks for your kind words. I agree that the results with the seasons sampler make it worth the extra work.

Thanks Tina. I use lap/table stand that I made out of PVC pipe. I showed it in my second video if you want to set it.
So enjoyed your update! I am looking forward to seeing your Christmas sampler next time as well. So glad you like your new scroll frames. Where did you order yours from?
Thanks for watching. I ordered my frames from the Omanik website.

I think your project bag came out good. I have yet to use my Omanik frame. Do you have a stand that you use with your Omanik frame?
Thanks for watching. I use a lap/table stand that I made out of PVC pipe. I showed it in my second video, if you want to see it.
What is the size of your new frame? Totally enjoying your videos.
I have two sets of scroll bars for it. One set is 70 cm and the other is 90 cm. Also I use the 20 cm extender bars. I also have the 30 cm bars, but haven't used them yet.
Brian, do you grid your fabric before you start stitching?
No, I don't grid. It doesn't seem to me that it would give me enough benefit to justify the time that it takes.
Thanks. I agree about the time and I guess if you are parking from the top corner then you don't get lost in the design.
Hello. I heard about you on Stitcherista's latest video and had to look you up! You do lovely work. Red is a pattern that I have seen before, but seeing your progress on her really makes me admire it more. Maybe I will have to go get that one. Keep up the good work!
