A celebration of film music including timeless classics and popular themes from some of todays biggest blockbuster scores! Featuring music from Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, Mission: Impossible and Star Wars.
The Video was taken using Sony HDR CX 12 camcorder.

Hans Zimmer I enjoy very much BUT, John Williams theme just gives you ....chills , and after 35 years it just keeps on sounding better.

The best part about this theme is, I love the slow building up from 1.45 and it climaxes from 1.56 to 2.05.. Goosebumps everytime I hear it. I guess if you can fly that's what it feels like.
I'm gonna start listening to this every morning to get me psyched for the day.

You're not alone my friend. This movie captured the imagination of my 6 year old self and never let go. Tears when I witnessed my own son watch this movie in amazement for the first time.
Even if you don't like Superman, you can't lie this sounds pretty good.....definitely shoulda been in Man of Steel.

I used to be able to do everything, gradually I lost a clear view of all my subs, the choice of pausing the video for it to fully preload, the ability to click anywhere on the video I want without the video stops playing, the ability to change resolutions without the video crashing, and now with the new fking comment system I click a time point 0:15 IT OPENS A NEW FUCKING WINDOW AND THE ENTIRE VIDEO STARTS OVER.
To top it off, the video refuses to play for 30 seconds and then suddenly it becomes 1 second long.

Zimmers theme does not even come close to The Brilliant John Williams theme. This is Supes (to use the nick name Richard prior gave him LOL!) signature theme just as Bond has his!!

This was what lacked in the " Man of Steal " Movie . This music represents Superman !!!!!
Tom Adams completely agreee.... they should have kept this music or maybe used this tune. but they completely changed it to a new one. Which is not for superman. This music truly symbolize both SUPERMAN and HOPE (which is S in his planet)
What bothers me now is that they are doing the Batman verses Superman thing . They should just leave that for the comic books .

This is the reason why Man of Steel was never a Superman movie.
Maka Soru Man of Steel never had this theme because it's too triumphant. Clark never felt truly heroic in that film - more like a person desperately trying to validate himself by doing what he believed was right; protecting people. From being held suspect by humans and hunted by Kryptonians, there was never a time that Kal-El felt like 'Superman'. The darker, grimmer score reflected Clark's feelings of uncertain identity, and the fact that he didn't really belong anywhere. That's why Man of Steel was so great, in my opinion. It did the impossible - humanising the most incorruptible of characters ever to be created. This original theme is awesome to listen to, but it would have come across as trite and cheap had they stuck it in Man of Steel. I would't be watching a story about a man trying to find his place in the world, but another superhero movie churned out of the capitalist machine. (Which MoS may be anyway, but I'd like to keep the blinders on).

Un tema épico, tal vez, hablando de personajes de cómics, es el más reconocido a nivel mundial, de un inicio se identifica de quién estamos hablando y en especial, se refiere al Superman de Christopher Reeve... ahora existen otros temas fuertes como el de Wonder Woman que de inmediato nos hace pensar en Gal Gadot o el de The Avengers que les identifica como grupo, pero el mejor tema de un sólo personaje no podía ser otro que el de Superman...

It is chilling ... Thunderous... Could be with a time (hit) slower, but it was spectacular anyway. I had the impression that this beat belongs to when Superman comes out as a winner in any of his battles

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is awesome, its superb! Its first rate, world class. Excellent rendition of this very much loved old movie theme....... so enjoyable.
Anyone else spot the lady in black just off center who at about 0:30 seconds in seems to be removing chewing gum and then looks like she's eating something then just sits there for the rest of the performance...
This tempo is perfect. Perhaps it's your playback for those of you complaining about it being too fast. This is actually the second best version of yet to see after the BBC Proms version of 2014 I think and John Williams version from 1979.
Wow!!! .. gives me the chill even after 35 years ... can just picture chris reeve running with the S on his chest .... i think the themes of both superman and MOS were in tune with the mood of the movie .. superman was upbeat , cheerful , heroic ... MOS was broody and a pensive theme ...

If you knew the first thing about music, you'd know that music can never be performed perfectly. And that there's an awful lot more to it than playing the notes, as it was written. There's a lot wrong with this performance. Many mistakes that I simply have not the room to list. An example is audible at 2:07 where the strings crescendo consummates far to hastily. When performed much more acutely, it's 'one of the' best movie themes, yes.

The reason they're doing that is to venture away from the original series, as the original Superman theme honestly would not fit the new film. The Nolan Batman movies didn't have the original theme, neither did The Amazing Spider-Man.
John Williams wrote the score for Superman shortly after Star Wars ... they are very similar in style

To think I was born in 1978 maybe I am Superman??? I can't fly - but I can save a woman I know that much!!! I love Philharmonic Orchestra pieces ..... timeless in every account this masterpiece!! Krull (1983) The London Symphony Orchestra with James Horner was simply Genius!! I can't find a woman that can appreciate such splendid esoteric glory in such musical brilliance that such music personifies - I always used to rewind the VHS tapes to listen to Superman Theme, Indiana Jones, etc. as a kid!
Wrong, Keefo2009. When I saw "The Dark Knight Rises," there was a theatrical preview of Man of Steel. One of the shots was of Superman flying straight up in the air, vertically, towards space. He was flying so fast, he was creating a sonic boom above his head. During that shot, the classic John Williams theme was playing. Also, from everything I've heard, that theme will be used, even if Hans Zimmer is doing it.
