@Shandog southwest Well if you mean when was the last time he went to the championship game the answer is last year, and he was there in 2017 and 2014 but the defense gave up 37 points to Jimmy G and 44 points to Matt Ryan which Rodgers put up 20+. And in 2014 Rodgers lead a game tying drive to send it to overtime before the defense utterly collapsed and Rodgers never touched the ball. Did he play mediocre that game? Yeah he did but he kept his team alive and with a chance to win.

What I don't understand is why we treat QBs like NBA players. Their the most important position on the field, but they are also the most dependent position. At best, they are 10-15% of the equation for a team considering you have to take into account coaching, special teams, the rest of the offense, and defense. Football and basketball are not comparable, but the media likes to treat QBs like basketball players. QB is the most difficult position to determine who is better than who when the ones being compared are all time greats
Also, it is not Rodgers vs Brady. It is Rodgers & LaFleur vs Bowles's defense, and Brady & Arians vs Pettine's defense

He is the greatest. As in most accomplished. There's a lot of soft skills that go into the position too. Greatest doesn't necessarily mean the most talented if the talent is never fully realized. Jerry Rice is still celebrated as the greatest WR but Randy Moss was more talented.

@William Lee The Packers Under Rodgers Reign have never gone and got a solid free agent WR. Everyone one of his WR's the Packers drafted and Rodgers turned into WR's that we traded or let go at there peak of career to fill holes in positions we needed or to save cap space. And for a solid amount of years that was without a solid running game. You cannot do what your saying without a solid running game. Yeah Bill (besides Randy moss) has never did much in the way of favors for getting WR's but he almost always had a good to great running game and Gronk for some of that time.

Rodgers is (far) more talented than Brady in terms of physical ability, but in a vacuum if I had to take one QB to win one game, I'm taking prime-Brady over prime-Rodgers because he's far more proven in winning on the biggest stage. It's not necessarily Rodgers fault that he is less proven, but he is. That said, I might still take prime-Montana over prime-Brady. Rodgers suffers in this conversation in the same way that Marino does- both are supreme talents, but they did not have the same opportunity to prove themselves, largely through no fault of their own.

No he is not. Picking apart the defense is another aspect of being a QB, which Brady is miles better than Rodgers. It's not all just arm strength and mobility.

Nah Rodgers is way more talented, but Brady is more accomplished. Brady had a top 5 and top 10 defense all of his career, and the one year Aaron Rodgers had a top 5 defense he won the super bowl.

Rodger's stats are that good because he protects his stats at times rather than going for the win. He throws all sorts of balls away rather than risking a pick. Brady goes for the wins, and he does win, more often than not in games Rodgers likely would have thrown away and protected his stats in.
Ability/talent isn't only physical. Brady has balance in his game and he wins. Maybe Roger's more physically talented but being a QB takes more then physical ability
Right both also have a great football IQ...might give edge to Rodgers as he listed off a plays from 10 years ago and knowing every player on the field and what they were doing..

Coaching matters in the NFL. Let's be honest Mike McCarthy is not even close to Bill Belichick. Great QBs need at least a bend but don't break type of defense. The Packers defense have been bad for most years, there's a reason why the Cowboys defense is trash.
Rodgers ability to accurately throw the ball...to the other team for pick six's was elite and cements Rodgers status as an elite QB who sat out yet another game because he can't even keep the game close.
