Back in the red zone, there's a book about the Lady in Red. It's the book that regales how they can't go through doors. The book is titled "The Girls in the Canvas" and reads as follows: _"The women here quickly become fond of any humans they see. Once they set their sights, they become very troublesome. They'll continue to stubbornly chase you until they're satisfied, it seems... Anywhere, everywhere, to the ends of the earth... But if they have one weakness, it's that they can't open doors on their own."_ Now obviously, this was placed here to explain that the Lady in Reds can't go through doors, but who wrote this? No author is listed or even X'ed out like with the storybook. Here's what I think. In the beginning of the Violet Zone, there's a bookshelf that can be reached through an optional maze with Death of the Individuals and 3 button paintings. The diary you read was presumably written by Guertena, and reads as follows: _"It's said that spirits dwell in objects which people put their feelings. I've always thought that , if that's true, then the same must be true of artwork. So today, I will immerse myself in work, so as to impart my own spirit into my creations."_ In the Forgotten Portrait ending, Garry dies in the toybox but can be seen out in the gallery as a painting, which the ending is named after. Also in the gallery, a few patrons mention that Guertena has passed away. And in the Cyan Zone where this plays, you collect pieces of a painting of Guertena himself. And yet, Garry says that Guertena didn't leave any self-portraits... Is it possible that Guertena died in the Fabricated World? I believe he may have written that book in the red zone, and met his demise at the hands of his own creations.
I think it's unlikely because if he died in the Fabricated World, his portrait would have appeared in the real world much like what happens to Garry for that one ending.
CARE MAJOR SPOILER A thing of note (I only played the remaster) is that the artworks love their father (Guertena, the creator) and are friendly towards one another. Mary conversations and her ending reveal as much. Despite that, it's hard to calculate what reasoning the living artworks have and if there is another conscience / force of power - that much is releaved by Mary's excessive self-defense and aggression (using the knife) as well as her special ending when something traps her.
Of all the tracks that play while you're going through the gallery, this one's my favourite. It just has a better kind of mysterious feel to it and is more calming in my opinion.
I just realized after staring at the picture for a while that Garry and Ib are crying, I can't really tell if Mary's crying or not though (I don't think so)
WoWisAwesome4 I checked other works of the artist and it seems that it is just a choice of style: www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=28228308
Whenever I hear the beginning of this song, I think of the geese flying in the sky before the Colossal Titan struck Shiganshina. I don't know why. I just do.
When I listen to this music, I can see space drift upon my eyes as calmly float in the vacuum... very placid and sci-fi like, I really enjoy this music. it gives me the supernatural chills.
Err, actually, it might be a reference to Guertena, since that's what the final stage eventually leads up to. And indeed it is relaxing. I listen to music while I sleep (in my armchair in front of the laptop no less), and usually it's.. this track, Dining Room, or soundtracks from Yume Nikki and The Witch's House. Those work the best for enhancing the probability for more vivid dreams, and are just.. nice to wake up to, I think.
Hmm... getting into the Umineko series now and listening to these tracks, I kind of feel like a crossover of this and Ib could work, just as much as I feel like Doki Doki Literature Club reminds me of Higurashi as far as the club goes. :p

this is an AMAZING theory, thank you for sharing!
YES

Had no idea you could find piece of him. That's also a very well put hypothesis.

So calm and creepy at the same time...
I was thinking the same thing as well. Also nice profile picture; the girl from the zombie anime right?
Christian Lied thanks and yes it's from gakkou gurashi
Christian Lied or you can call it school life
It's not a mistake, that's the title in the game archives.
The echos of the galley are calling for me.
It's telling me to get back to the Witch's House.
But I am being blocked by my Mad Father who is standing in the Forest of Drizzling Rain with the Ao Oni. All I have with me is my Yume Nikki.
But I'm stuck in Mogeko Castle of The Gray Garden with Wadanohara & The Great Blue Sea.
MrGameguycolor I see Misao, the Angel of Slaughter, waiting for me to wake up from this Blank Dream. "Hello? Hell...o?" She calls out to me.
I just can't contain the .flow!
This entire chain of comments holy fuck
It's calm and mysterious but it's sorrowful at the same time, I don't know why. It hurts me.
I loved this, simply because I got to spend more time with Gary.
omg yes
This is actually my favorite track in the game.
I just realized after staring at the picture for a while that Garry and Ib are crying, I can't really tell if Mary's crying or not though (I don't think so)
You're right... So sad...
I think its because of low quality

I'm a bit late but it seems more like an artstyle than tears.
That actually makes sense, they feel guilty for what they have done to her 😢😞
I hear footsteps...
Whenever I hear the beginning of this song, I think of the geese flying in the sky before the Colossal Titan struck Shiganshina. I don't know why. I just do.
..... what XD
When someone says 'geese' I think of deer. I don't know why. But I just imagined deer flying.
This fits wonderfully well. I could definitely see this over many SnK scenes.
This is rather soothing
Christian Lied Houtarou!
'GOOFBALL' AHAHAH why is it called this?
I know it's the official name... But why? Hahah.
I hear footsteps in the soundtrack... maybe it depicts someone who got lost, wanders without knowing where to go, feeling like a goofball ^^
When I listen to this music, I can see space drift upon my eyes as calmly float in the vacuum... very placid and sci-fi like, I really enjoy this music. it gives me the supernatural chills.
I'll always remember about Seven Mysteries where this song has also been used
This is the best song in the game, wish it got more updates or a sequel, but sadly I don't think it's gonna happen.
well its getting a remaster sooo
idk why but this reminds me of depression
Marco was here.
Just had a nightmare last night with this in it...
Heard this in Blank Dream too!
It sounds like you are walking through the empty hallways and the music is coming from one of the rooms, like you can hear it from a distance
Err, actually, it might be a reference to Guertena, since that's what the final stage eventually leads up to.

I think,in the secret dungeon from the new versions i think(well,i hear this on the dungeon)
...why do I listen to this before I go to sleep??

I cherrypick usually, but my favourite YN sleep tracks are Dark World and Mars, and my favourite WH sleep tracks are Rumor and Undermine.
abyss of the deep
Try listening to "Suicide Room" from the HetaOni soundtrack. Then try going to sleep. It's so scary...
Night Lovell - lethal presence
Goofball is actually also some kind of drug; a sleeping pill. Probably more fitting :D
I don't know but this sounds like the something from a Courage the Cowardly Dog episode.
wow dis is rlly dark
I don't find it creepy, it has that sort of "final stage" atmosphere to it. Goofball might be a reference to Ib, but that's just a crude guess.
*Shudders* Not goofball, not goofball at all!
Isn't this from the bonus dungeon? Didn't think it would just be called Goofball...
Goofball is actually also some kind of drug; a sleeping pill. Probably more fitting :D
@@Riwerso A sleeping pill called Goofball? o.O Weird, never heard of it. :?
Isn't there another horror RPG Maker game where this song was played ? I can't remember ;-;
+Yukii Fujiwara Actually the recent Blank dream use this song too.
Aaah yay you're right ! :D Thank you !
