i will join the patreon if you drop the ego & admit you actually DID see me there.
You’ve made a big impact on me Bliss and to say thank you I’m now in at the super patron level. I’m sorry it’s taken so long to join. No excuses. Your content is sick and I get so much out of it. Can’t wait to enjoy the bonus content and gain a place by your side! 💎
That means a lot to me, Aimee 🙏
I feel like the bear back in the collection is more than a creative excercise. Conceptually, it seems to fit into the ongoing conversation/ tension between the body and the garments that is so characteristic of the house - despite the 70s ideals that, as you said, margiela seems to approve of, he could be posing the question: "Will any level of 'surface' glamour, of the type that first meets the eye when someone walks up to you, ever be able to rival the beauty of what is hidden behind it, only revealed in the wake of their passing?"
I might be completely off or have over-analyzed as I don't have any source of context besides the rest of this series, but based on your excellent job of explaining Margiela's genius, I can't help but feel there is something more to the collection.
Anyway, thanks a lot for your content, big big fan Bliss! (promise I'll join the patreon soon)
Just getting to this. Fascinating as always
not sure if this even communicates to the themes of the show, but the backwards clothing really reminds me of the process of DIY styling your own clothes? essentially the process of buying oversized thrifted clothes that you love the fabric/cut of but you don't know how/cannot afford to alter them so you just tuck and pin as many pieces of clothes together. its like the oversized thrifted jeans meme where the front of your pants look like they fit well but the back is all frumpy/unpolished. it also makes me think about avant-garde layered choatic going-out fits (clubbing, concert). i feel like its a process that the demographic that most frequently attends those events (younger people) end up doing at some point.
Hello Bliss i wanted to tell you that since i started to watch your chanel 2 years ago my life got better i started to get fully into fashion and developed my own style,i said fck you to trends and be me.Thank you!I enjoy to watch your videos a lot!
Bliss, you have made me know so much about fashion runway shows and specific styles that creators make and design. I know that Margiela means so much to you and his work and all the runway shows that people with or without him organized. I think u explain these things very nicely so even a beginner who has interest in fashion can understand even some of the weirdest contexts behind some shows. Thx and ur channel is swag.
Omg. I had a wallet from this collection.. Still miss it to this day
Oh wow! Which one was it??
Slowly working my way through this series, I'm dying to know if the front/back contrast tights from this season were ever put into production or sold, or if there's any information on how they were made anywhere. They're so cool looking, but I can't find any mention of them in my search so far. Love your channel, thank you for all your work on Margiela and all your other research!!
Thank you for giving us a bunch of information in every videos you make:)
Just watched the documentary about Martin... in his words , I must say your videos gave me so much structure and understanding
Funny how even in his own documentary we don't see his face its really about the garments
Had the same tank top in black, but doesn't fit me anywhere near as good. So I made my own long sleeve versions for my brand out of vintage t-shirts I've collected over the years. Although, I'm not classically trained in fashion people like Margiela, Martens and Gvasalia have inpsired me a lot. Hearing you cover these collections in details, has really helped me with resourcefulness, research/inspiration and story telling. I thank you a lot!
thank you
bliss, you're so goated for this series
Keep up the good work, Mr. Foster. I'm a fan.
Thank you so much for everything you have done, I learned a lot and Really enjoy watching your videos. I’m glad to hear that you read all the comments so here I am! keep up your great work!
Love your fashion content as always! I love fashion so much but I am ignorant about a lot of it, so your video essays are a LOT of help. Will subscribe to the good ol' patreon when I graduate from being a student. Keep up the great work!!! 🥺🥺💖💖💖✨✨
really enjoying your input on the Margiela series, but also commenting for Isaac
God bless Bliss Foster. ❤️🫶🏾
Once you are done with the Margiela videos, on what designer do you want to focus?
YOU...are a beautiful person
Can you do a closet tour of all your clothes and then mentions of your grails you want
How did you purchase those jeans by Tiqoff? Looked on their insta and they've got no website link...or really any post on their insta
Maybe try DMing them?
you still can't see me here?!? that's mildly hurtful, brother.
You should quiz your brother on Margiela
good show
commenting for Isaac

Does anyone know where we can find the Lookbooks in full?
The lookbooks are very difficult to find. I have a massive archive of imagery from each season, and most of the files are missing the official lookbook images. The closest that you can get is to go to ArchivePDF.net and check a book called Creame Magazine for mid-late career lookbook images. They won’t have everything, but it’s the best I’ve ever found.
Kanye bought physical MMM lookbooks from Sothebys years ago, they went for thousands each.
sorry bliss but your brother is cooler
Critics sight the 1970s as the birth of *post* modern fashion, not really modern fashion.
I love being corrected! Do you have a source for that?
bruh
:)
