There's so much more to an exhaust note than how loud it is and, honestly, I think you nailed it. Awesome work, mate. I'm not a fan of CXs (matter of personal taste) but I've really enjoyed what you've done to this one - I guess that makes it all the more impressive. Amazing job, especially on the budget you've been working to.

Matthew Wright thank you so much mate definitely has a unique sound and you’re 100% right about the science that goes into a muffler I learnt this from trial and Error lol 😂

I had the EXACT starting problem. My friend suggested that I try them the other way around. I scoffed. But was out of ideas. So I tried t and started right up. Bummer it happened to you. But I’m glad that I wasn’t the only one. Great work! Thanks for everything you do here on your channel.

Awesome. When you were doing the tank graphics I noticed that you really pay attention to the lines on the bike. That’s so important if you want something that’s visually appealing. You can use the best parts and the best fabricating but if you don’t follow the lines of what you’re doing it disrupts your eyes natural path and just doesn’t look right. Very nice.

First CX500 equipped with a catalytic converter!
1:45 It wasnt sparking at bottom dead center, it was sparking at top dead center but on the exhaust stroke.
Anyway: The bike sounds awesome. :) I own a CX 500, too. But completely stock.

I ran megaphone muffler on my old 250 Ninja express lane to work everyone got outta the way. Doing the speed limit sounded like i was doing three times the speed. Clamped on and mount bent perfect fit.

Great job Dan, had to smile when you said you worked till midnight because you were in the 'flow'. Been there, done that, what a state to be in! 😎 I was hoping you were going to pull that screened silencer out while it was running to really hear the difference between the before and after before you welded it in. Awesome budget build. 👍

Just a heads-up from my own personal experience... use VHT Header paint for headers and slip-ons... it has a 1300 degree tolerance and will not fog up.
I've tried using the VHT Engine which has a tolerance of 500 degrees and it fogged.

scramblers back in the day had the pipes up at knee height to avoid smashing them into rocks and roots. Your pipes goes below the bottom so you cant even make a protection plate for the bottom of the engine. But if your gonna use it as a street bike then it doesn't even matter. I like otherwise what you did to the project.

If you look at the date when i started you will see how long its taken here in the first video of the build ruclips.net/video/II0DIgJ9EA4/видео.html Having said that, I video everything and that ads a lot of extra time to even the smallest tasks, allow yourself one and a half to two years if you can, that's if you are only working on it on the weekends, A lot faster if you can do it full time
