I’ve got two: a 2000 BMW R1100RS that I share with my dad, but since he’s eight hours away it’s mostly mine (plus he has three of his own). I also picked up a 1970 Honda SL 100 barn find (was actually sitting a farmer’s tree grove) this Spring for something to learn wrenching on. I’ve currently got the tank de-rusting in an electrolysis tank; once that’s done I can try starting it for the first time. Love your channel - it’s been helping me learn how these machines work.
that is so cool you have a few bikes to play on and Im happy my videos are helping you. feel free to send video ideas if you have anything you would like to see me show in a future video :)
I"m been working on a 1992 cb750 Honda nighthawk. I am having all the fabrication work on the frame done now. Its been in the process for about 2 years now. I'm gonna get a ridable for the winter and then next year really try and get the m_unit on there and replace the front end with gxsr front end that I have already. Your vids are very inspiring and help keep me motivated to get the project finished. Thanks Dan
I had a somewhat loud exhaust on my moped when I was a kid. And when it popped and banged a bit, sometimes it would really hurt my ears. My motorcycle now, '84 suzuki gs850, has an aftermarket 4 in 2 exhaust system, based on the original. It's decently quit but still gives that low rumble and decent roar when cracking the throttle. Btw, that 4 in 2 looks way better than any 4 in 1 would've been! great design upgrade!
Thank you for sharing this with me yes I believe its been mentioned here a few times in the comments already however I will say it again because its so true. Just because Its loud music doesn’t make the music better and same for exhausts on bikes I think :)
loud pipes save lives, awesome video. In Germany (80 million people crowded in little space) there is a huge debate about loud motorcycles, in part hysterically. In fact your neighbous don´t like you if the bike is to loud. If the tone is deep it is more accepted than a screaming sound. Thats why I only do two cylinder bikes. I admire your work and your garage. I am only doing hobby shop stuff on a low budget, a million miles away from your professional set up. My bikes are never finished. I constantly work on them and try to improve them.
I do love Germany, I didnt feel like it was crowded when I was there but having said that, Australia is very empty compared to Europe , You are 100% right about the sound :) My bikes are never really finished either Haha
That bike is Baaad, brother. Leave it loud, let the neighbor's know they a have an Alfa male next door. I'm rebuilding a 1980 Suzuki gs1000g , I just bought for $300.00. I cut the pipes off just underneath the rear shocks, and it's loud and I love it! Again, Love your bike bro!
She’s looking brilliant...congrats! I’m customizing and modding a 2009 Triumph Street Triple R up here in the beautiful mountains of Japan. She’s a weapon and perfect for the amazing hillclimbs that the local JDM boys use for their drift runs...
I have a Honda 1973 CB450 been doing a lot of things to it..motor overhaul, electronic ignition, new controls, bars, new tank, frame modification, seat, lights...you understand! Lol ..last thing I'm going to do is the exhaust and I can't wait!. I love torch time. Awesome video brother! Thanks for the insight and ideas. 🙏🇺🇸💪❤️
Dude, your videos are so helpful! I'm right in the beginning of building my own bike, had 3 bikes already, and couldn't find the one I want, so decided to build one myself. And it's going to be honda cb750, your channel is such a diamond find for me! Thank you for your hard work, I know how much time it takes to film your process, think about what you say, edit it and actually build the bike in the same time, you do it really well! And the quality is insane, both your work and the content! Thank you! I'm gonna use your videos as a bible when I'll start building my own bike. Cheers from Russia 🥶🤝!
I've been working on a CB750 1992 as long as you've had yours on this channel. I got it for the same reason you got yours and discovered your channel shortly afterward! Always excited to see your progress. My build is almost complete, the last job is to make the airboxes inspired by the classified moto guys. Cheers!
Another truly awesome video Dan running the pipes both sides is ascetically perfect, keeping both sides of the bike the same just looks so much better. Noise wise I love a nice rasp but would reign it in from stupid loud and find a happy balance. I would want heads to turn in admiration not displeasure. I am working on a CB750 same model as yours but a scrambler build. All your videos on this bike have been such a inspiration towards starting my build. So much so I became a Patreon quite a few months back and just currently setting up my own RUclips channel, again all with help and advice from you via the Patreon messaging. True inspiration keep up the fantastic videos and awesome channel content. Happy to support the your channel Carl.
Thank you Carl, That's awesome and thank you for sharing, I'm glad you are enjoying the videos and thank you again for your support its really means a lot to me, Feel free to come up with some video ideas you would like to see me do in the future. Patreon is the best way to send them so I don't miss them. :)
Working on a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750. Just started it for the first time after rebuilding the engine. I've been debating on keeping my 4 into 1 or switching to 4 into 2, and I think you helped me make up my mind.
Hey Dan, I am a big fan of your videos. I have a 1982 CM450C and a 1980 CCB650C. Both are Cafe racer projects I got as rusted out basket cases with no idea if the motor would start. I find it very rewarding to give these old girls a new life and in my area (Northern Wisconsin) it is rare to see cafe racers so I always get comments and questions. Even in Harley country people cant help but love the look of a clean cafe racer. keep up the great work!
Thanks for sharing mate and yes I do know what you mean, Cafe races are getting more more popular are still a very small amount of them out there and you can park at cafe racer next to A high end Sportsbike in the cafe racer will still get more comments and attention. 😊 if it’s built tastefully of course.
i got a 81 CB650 that I'm working on right now. I'm thinking about a 4 into 1 but i do like that 4 into 2 look on the 750. Nice work. Load is always good when it comes to pipes.
Hey love the show. I have a stock cb750 from about 1984 or 85 with fairing / wind shield etc. it currently has 4 into 1s on it from a previous owner. A good mate donated it to me to finish the build and it is patiently waiting in my shed until time and money and skill are mot my main excuses for not taking it further. Your vids are great for the process & skills side of things and to keep me motivated to do it. I can see welding is key to good results will get that sorted before tackling the bike. Also sourcing parts like an upgraded front end for safety will be a priority. Thanks for the great content - keeping it coming!
Hi Dan, I'm in the UK, just starting to pull down my 1980 KZ750ltd ( 4cl ) that i'v had for 26 years, going down the scrambler/ tracker style with it, love the way your pipes ended up so much cleaner. think i'm going to have to retire my mig and invest in a Tig welder. keep up the good work mate.
I recently picked up a 1979 Honda CM 400T. Planning to give it a little brat style/cafe look. I guess we'll see how it goes. I like my pipes to be not very loud to medium at best - keep up the great work, you are very inspiring.
Nice job. Exhaust suits the bike IMO. I *currently* have a '74 CB360G in Hex Green Metallic, a '75 CB550F in Flake Sunrise Orange, a '76 CB360T in Light Ruby Red, and a '78 CB550K4 in Excel Black. They're all stock except the K4 which has been built from parts.
Hi Dan from Boston! I do love watching your videos and am learning quite a bit. I’ve been in IT my entire career but at 57 am thinking about “what’s next?”. I’ve taken the last year and a half off as a sabbatical and during that time, have been tearing down and rebuilding my own bike…..a 2013 Moto Guzzi v7 Racer. While I love the OEM look of this bike AND the fact there just are not that many of them on the road, I still wanted to make it my own. While I’m limited in what I can do myself (which is why I enjoy watching your videos as well as Jish in the UK), working with my hands on my bike and taking it apart is so incredibly relaxing and will hopefully be able to start doing this full time before long. In the mean time, keep posting these vids (I know this one is from about a year ago) and I’ll keep watching and learning! By the by, love the 2 into 1 on each side…..looks awesome!
Hi Dan, my current project is a Yamaha XV700. It needs a lot of work as I got as a roller with plastic tub of parts. I have been working through what exists of the wiring loom and have got it to a point where it will turn over and now has spark. I've got to get the fuel system installed and try to patch together what exhaust it has before I can attempt a start. It's been a welcome distraction in these trying times. Keep up the good work you do.
Wonderful with the 2 into 1 on each side. The pooping you mentioned, in my experience anyway was more than not a little much on the air side of your mixture. I would jet up a size and most often it would be a perfect fit.
Hey Dan, i think the final exhaust is the best. I didn't like the line of that third pipe that you changed. Good decision. I was surprised how loud it was, especially after your video with the CX exhaust. My son and I are building a Monster 900. I also ride one and it has after market pipes. They give it the Ducati sound we love without being offensive. I think a lot of bikes sounds can be offensive and off putting. Especially small bore bikes with noisy pipes! Love your work! Keep it coming!
I am binge watching your videos and really enjoying them, I have just been given a 1976 CB 750 super sport and looking for inspiration for the bike, I am currently going through the engine 😊
I've got a cx500 cafe racer style. Love the videos on all the bikes. I wouldn't go too loud personally would be uncomfortable on long trips but a bit of growl is fun
Hi, I am Ranojoy, from India. I have a 28 year old Yamaha rx 100. Which I am working on to transform to a cafe racer (brat style), I get inspired by ur work a lot. It is quiet a challenge out here India to get the exact parts for the bike. Still I am working on.
That's a good tip on using that bit of wood to mark 180°, I've got a Harley Sportster which I've changed the exhaust system to it, the old one was drowning the engine, more of a free flow exhaust, loud pipes save lives I suppose, also,,, I fitted a Kickstart, more of a panhead look
Ace video - I'm working on a 1973 CB550 and there are exhausts everywhere :D I'm trying to work out a tidy way to do a 4 to 1 or 4 to 2 high scrambler style one but as yet finding it hard to find a route I like the look off that won't result in my frying myself or an occasional pillion :D
I did have an Old Triumph Thunderbird 900. Triple. 1995. But because I'm getting Older,, It become a little hard to handle.. So Down sized to a nice light Honda CB 400ss Single.. All in Need to have a Fun Ride.. Great little bike Cheers Steve
Just finished building my 96 monster 600 on the gold coast aswell.. My pipes are realllly loud but will probably put some torque cones in and baffles to help the neighbours ears
Hey Dan, Firstly your videos are getting better and better. Been watching from the start and still learning so much. I have a 2006 Softail that I stripped to the frame and rebuilt including the engine a few years back, and would love to do a new challenge. And yes, loud pipes save lives. I used to commute 130miles a day on the Softail in the summer and a R1200GSA in the winter here in the UK. I can tell you from experience, the Softail was a lot safer as people knew I was there. Keep up the great work.
I live in Texas so pipes can be as loud as you want. Lots of loud bikes around. I kinda love them one day and hate them another on my v star. Depends on my mood.. I do love the look of you exhaust .
Love your work Dan. Personally i prefer quiter pipes. I ride off road as well as street and quite pipes are just less intrusive. I have a yamaha XSR 900 and Suzuki DRZ400. Plans are with the DRZ.
Amazing build, quite a inspiration, thank you:-) To your question, i hate loud pipes more then everything. Lived for quite a while in Asia / USA and Mexico and one thing these three countrys have in ccommon is loud pipes. The first thing people do on the bike is going straight pipes. So the us navy officer, the Mexican Druglord and the Asia Surfer wake up there whole neighborhood when the go to fight another country, go selling some dope or try to catch waves in sunrise. IT SUCKS I like exhaust systems where i can drive easy out my hood without be a pia for everyone but when i hit the throttle outside of town it makes a good sound:-) My 2 Cents Best regards from switzerland
Ugh late to the party as per usual.... G'day, Dan! Where in Oz are you? I'm S/E Vic. Prolly doesn't mean much now but when I was building car exhausts years ago I did a twin system for a ZD (1970) Fairlane with a built 302 Windsor motor. Dual 2" all the way from the Tri-Y headers with 12" long hotdogs and 16" long narrow bodied straight through glass-pack mufflers before the diff with full tail pipes exiting at the rear bumper. Started her up and man, she sounded soooo tuff!! Real American muscle car sound! Well, the owner came back a few days later and wasn't really happy with it as it was a bit too "racey" for him lol. I cut a balance pipe in it and it sounded crap. To me, anyways. It may make the motors run a bit smoother equalizing the exhausts but in my opinion balance pipes kill the knarly, raw muscle sound. Each to their own but I won't ever run a balancer in my twins. What did you end up going with and how was the sound quality in the end? I really like how your's sounds at the end of this video lol! Love it!! Beautiful bike and skills, too, mate. Bravo!! *oh the old bloke really liked the sound of his Fairlane in the end, go figure!
I ride a Suzuki vz800! With slash cut pipes. No baffles! Very loud and I get warned about it every time I take my bike for it’s MOT! But I’ve never had any issues with the police, I’m in the uk though 😎
I would've made the end cans - the reversed cones, removable, so You could experiment a little back and forth trying out what baffles You need. Good choice, to go for the 4 into 2 option.
Hi Dan, the CB is looking great! I've got 2 (and a bit) bikes, a Yamaha SR400 and a Suzuki VX800, both of which have been given Cafe makeovers to certain degrees. I also have a second VX800 that was given to me when I bought the other, as a donor bike but I've got plans to turn it into a chopper. As far as loud pipes go, I'm a big fan. Love your videos bro, keep up the good work.
Hey dan I’m currently building a BWM K100 1984 model and working on my own exhaust right now love the videos I have picked up and learnt heaps from watching would love to see you play around with some more bmw bikes and possibly do a video on wiring different lights and switches thanks
Thank you mate, Sure thing I will look into your Ideas :) Wiring can be complex and boring to watch unfortunately so I try not to video it. but I will do a BMW at some stage :)
Hi Mate, I have a few bikes in the garage, the current projects are a restoration on a 1994 Honda ST1100AR with a respray and a full-out customisation on 1984 Kawasaki KZ440 LTD that we are doing a Cali themed tracker/cruiser build on. I have an upcoming 1982 Kawasaki KZ1100 Spectre Restoration and a 2019 Harley Davidson Street Rod 750 that we will be doing a lil customisation on and a respray in the coming months :) Keep up the solid work and love the videos :)
Hi, I've got a 1967 BSA B44 with straight though pipes on it, there is a small amount of silencing on them but there loud, can definitely hear me coming a few streets away. I like the 4 in to 2 you'v created, nice and clean, I think you'll find that you'll need that balance pipe though, the engine will run better with it, had the same issue with another exhaust i made a few years ago, took a while to find the problem.
Hi, job looks great and tidy. The curves of the pipes following the frame are perfect... well done. Im working on the CX but no plans for the exhaust yet , we'll see during the winter ...lol, thanks , Gus
Just to answer your question, I have a suzuki DL 1000 and the stock exhaust was too "civilised" and sometimes cars and other vehicles couldn't hear me approaching, so I have put some road legal aftermarket exhausts (with dB killers) and that gave a not too loud but much nicer and richer sound. I like an exhaust that is audible but not too loud.
Hey always love your content doing builds myself, current is a 2006 Kawasaki er6 a simple cafe racer which sits 60% done not bad as I pretty much had a box of bolts and a rolling chassis and a non runner. sat behind that is a 1990 bmw k100 which I can’t wait to get my hands on and that’s going to have nothing but the finest thrown at it keep safe brother
Hey Dan, really love your videos.I dont have a bike at the moment but plan to get a RE interceptor 650 soon.Sort of a newbie when it comes to motorcycles....so am learning a lot from these videos.....keep making such amazing contents.... Cheers!!!!
Wow that's loud! Loosing some power on that. Anyroad, thank you for all those tips. Making a "third hand" is always helpful. Whether it is tape or a weldwire. Well done! I ride a Honda CB650R -19 with some customizition and more on the way. But no bigbuild though. And I would not ride a loud bike, rules or not. Just before you changed your exhaust into 4-2 I thought that a 4-2 system would look better...
Thank you John, You are 100% right, I believe it's been mentioned here a few times in the comments already however I will say it again because it's so true. Just because Its loud music doesn’t make the music better and same for exhausts on bikes I think :) Great choice in bike, what year is yours?
@@CafeRacerGarage It's a -19. Done 25000km now. Just love the bike!👍 Small mods like aluminium front mudguard and taller aluminium handlebar, homemade tailtidy and lowered the pegs 20 mm. Motogadget barend mirrors. Oh, and painted the rear spring white.😀
It looks great 👍🏼 I have the original H box om my CX and then 2 aftermarket open muflers. It’s a nice deep sound not to loud and defenitley not like a vacuum cleaner as the original exhaust sounds like 😜
Hi Dan. Jeremy from Newcastle, NSW here. My thoughts are the top end of legal is about right for these bikes. I think part of the attraction of riding a special bike is a great exhaust note but not so loud it’s detracts from enjoying the ride. Love the videos. I am doing an ‘83 XJ750 build myself. I have done the USD forks as well but had to engineer my own custom triple clamp. With regard to welding, I bought a CIG Transmig 220 following your review of the ultra 185. I have only only just tried using the TIG this weekend which I found quite difficult. I would like to do a SS exhaust similar to yours but thinking of keeping it 4 single pipes. I am trying to get a particular exhaust sound. So timing on release of this video was great for me. With some perseverance hopefully I can get there. Keep up the good work. There’s a lot of work to do before the XJ is roadworthy. Maybe I can have target having it ready for when Annastacia would let me in for a ride lol! Cheers.
That is awesome dude, Im so glad I have so many Aussie guys having a go and enjoying my videos, I believe it's been mentioned here a few times in the comments already however I will say it again because it's so true. Just because Its loud music doesn’t make the music better and same for exhausts on bikes I think :) Have a great day and good luck with the projects.
Sounds great as it is Dan .mines a 06 Bandit 650 4 into 1 with a 450mm freeflow stubbie exhaust and yup louder than std and has saved me as people hear that pipe more than the drainpipe sized original OEM.. Yes to loud pipes . Love that little scissor lift it's got a great aspect for doing just what your using it for .interested in the pipe clamps you were using are they specifics or just a modified type like a vice clamp with different jaws .. Missed out for a brekkie watch but glad I got the evening show lol ..great vid as always Dan thanks
Nice Vid Cheers, I'm Building a street tracker out of a Kawasaki 250LTD, I'll need to use some of these tips to mod the exhaust... I don't like too loud...
You mentioned what welder to buy. But what would you suggest someone new to welding do to start learning. I have no idea the diff between a mig and tig weld but I've heard both millions of times while watching these types of shows. I haven't even seen a welder in real life! Are there courses you can do somewhere?
Love your chanel. I am currently building an exhaust system for my 1979 Yamaha XS650. I like my bikes to be quiet, so I am going to use Cone Engineering's Quiet Core muffler. My question is how to support the muffler. If the header pipe is supported at the foot peg and the muffler is attached there, does the muffler itself need support, or is that good enough? The only way I can see to support the muffler itself is to attach to the passenger foot peg. However, I wanted to remove that bracket because it is just way too big and ugly. I can't be sure, but it looks like you have no seperate support for the muffler on your build.
Hi Dan. Like your videos. Currently I'm working on my 85 virago 750 that is a budget racer project. Also have an 83 virago that will be the next cafe racer project. And my daily driver 16 Yamaha Fz07 (MT07).
Curious how many amps are you running? Esab is out of my reach and I've only Tig welded heavy wall pipe but have considered a scratch start DC 110v machine that peaks at 90 amps.. Love your videos. Have learned alot.
I really prefer stock systems to be entirely honest I currently ride a street triple and I have heavily debated getting an arrow slip on but wonder if it would be to loud for my taste
Recently bought an '81 CB750F, (my first Honda), amazingly beautiful even as standard, might still build it some day. Got it for cheap knowing it has a rattling sound emitting more from the clutch side, do you have any idea what this might be? Keep up the Great work, hopefully you get a sponsor someday soon. Wes from South Africa.
Pipes look great dan, nice work. I’ve never really liked the look of full pie cut exhausts as I reckon they look to busy. Have one of those cone mufflers on my cb550 that Taylor got me onto, sounds awesome. Maybe not as loud as in your bike cause I have a four into one on it. Cheers, Wayne.
Great job mate! Your videos are awesome. I was looking at a 1989 Yamaha XJ6 for only $700 and restoring it but I just can't do it. Not enough money, time or the right tools and space yet... But It would be awesome to see you do it!
Hey mate, im on an island in the Philippines , no speed limit. & no build rules, yay fa me. Between bikes atm, lookn at heaps for side Car projects & other bikes as well, triumphs , ktm’s like that, onya
I want to build a cafe racer but can't afford it at the moment.....but definitely in future....I will be needing your pointers coz I have no idea about welding anything.
how much does this costs for one time to niult. i got a new cb650r now and i really like it to built it to a cb650 cafe racer. but am from vietnam so it too far from you. And congratulations with you to built more and more. beauty bikes.
Pretty late to the whole exhaust thing, but i built a suzuki gn 125 into somewhat of a scrambler and had some inspiration from your own build. Now as anyone can imagine 125cc bikes are not loud at all, but i once had it run without any kind of muffler, just a straight pipe and it was music to my ears. Now as good as it sounded, it still was a bit loud, so if german regulations would allow it, all i would get would be some rather cheap cone muffler from ebay or something, as i have seen people do it on the same model and they all pretty much sounded amazing. Loud is nice to a certain extent, but if you overdo it it just becomes annoying.
Hey Dan, I got a 1985 Yamaha Maxim XJ700 that and a 1980 CB750K that I will be doing a stainless exhaust. Appreciate the video definitely some good tips and will definitely reach out for some supplies soon.
Exhaust looks great, much better now you decided to choose for 2 into 1. About that footpedal, i don’t see why you can’t figure out to modify your welder by adding a footpedal. Strip that cable and bypass a footpedal in it! It’s not impossible...
I know I am a bit late replying to your question about loud pipes. Many people swear by the adage "loud pipes save lives". Though there is no scientific evidence to their safety, they do sound cool. I have a 2016 Victory Cross Country with cams and some other high performance upgrades. The worst decision I made was to put an open exhaust on the bike. Yes, it sounds cool but it took away from the power and rideability of the bike. I do long distance endurance riding and even with my high quality full face helmet, it was just too loud for a 19 hour day. In the end, I moved to a Bassani 2 into 1 full system. Performance improved and sound was more tolerable for long distance. There you go, my $0.02 (USD). :-)
hi i have a niche Chinese bike 250cc can i get an akrapovic although there is non for my model, if so how do i determine the suitable exhaust and what can be the limitations

Ha ha wow that would make my ears ring lol 😂
Thank you for sharing mate :) It's just a personal thing, No right or wrong here :P
Thanks for the great content - keeping it coming!
wow dude that is amazing and thank you for sharing, I'm glad I can keep you inspired and hopefully show you some new tricks along the way :)
I love it, Hopfully you can share some pics on the CRG Fb page :)
No bike. But looking, just love watching brilliant craftsmanship!
That's awesome and thank you for sharing Jay. I'm glad you are enjoying the videos
Hi Dan. Love your channel. It admires me that one man can do EVERYTHING alone. Respect! From Russia with love.
Thanx bro appreciate the kind words
That's great that you have something so fun to keep you busy and out of trouble :) Thank you for your kind words mate
Your video keeps me going 👍
Fruity is what i like, i,ve found open pipes ruin power delivery and midrange pick up. love vids.
I am binge watching your videos and really enjoying them, I have just been given a 1976 CB 750 super sport and looking for inspiration for the bike, I am currently going through the engine 😊
I picked up a 1980 GS850 recently. Planning on bobbing it
I've got a cx500 cafe racer style.
Learnt a lot of practical things from this. Keep on going mate!
Thank you mate I’m glad you enjoyed it. :)
Really like the look of those pie cuts. I'm looking forward to seeing how you use them. This build is still 🔥.
Thank you mate :)
Love the CB750 - great build and content, thank you!
Thank you for sharing mate, loud is kinda cool but a long ride my ears would be ringing lol
Inspo right here. cant wait to get TIG welding!
Thank you so much brother :)
I’ve got a custom BMW R65, love your videos and builds
Hi Dan, the CB is looking great! I've got 2 (and a bit) bikes, a Yamaha SR400 and a Suzuki VX800, both of which have been given Cafe makeovers to certain degrees. I also have a second VX800 that was given to me when I bought the other, as a donor bike but I've got plans to turn it into a chopper. As far as loud pipes go, I'm a big fan. Love your videos bro, keep up the good work.
Thanks for the video! I'm thinking about doing a custom exhaust on my 1985 Honda CB450. This video really gave me some good ideas on how to do that!
Cant wait for the mufflers on your site! Need to upgrade my '82 Kz440 muffler asap! Thanks for all your videos Dan
I'm on top of it for you :) If you are an email subscriber you will get a very exciting email from me when Iv got them done :)
Too cool, sounds outrageous!!!
Loud please! I am about to finish my 78 yamaha xs1100. Thanks for all this videos you inspired me to get me this xs11 and make my first build!
Alejandro Pascual Martinez I hear you lol pun intended lol 😂
That’s amazing I’m so glad I’ve inspired you :) Great choice in bike by the way 💪👍
Hi, I've got a 1967 BSA B44 with straight though pipes on it, there is a small amount of silencing on them but there loud, can definitely hear me coming a few streets away. I like the 4 in to 2 you'v created, nice and clean, I think you'll find that you'll need that balance pipe though, the engine will run better with it, had the same issue with another exhaust i made a few years ago, took a while to find the problem.
Loud pipes save lives 😁
Отличная работа, спасибо за советы!
Я так рад, что вам понравилось, и надеюсь, что это поможет вам в сборке
Hi, job looks great and tidy. The curves of the pipes following the frame are perfect... well done.
Im working on the CX but no plans for the exhaust yet , we'll see during the winter ...lol, thanks , Gus
Fantastic Gus, I'm glad you have good taste in Bikes :) Thank you for your kind words once again :)
great video. can you tell me something: why do the pipes need to be joined and equalised?
Just began working on my own XJ6... Very difficult base, but I hope for the best.
Gotta start somewhere, its all about just having a go and enjoying the process :)
@@CafeRacerGarage thanks man, your videos are very inspiring and I learn a lot from them :)
Awesome work ✌️👌
Hey always love your content doing builds myself, current is a 2006 Kawasaki er6 a simple cafe racer which sits 60% done not bad as I pretty much had a box of bolts and a rolling chassis and a non runner. sat behind that is a 1990 bmw k100 which I can’t wait to get my hands on and that’s going to have nothing but the finest thrown at it keep safe brother
Hey Dan, really love your videos.I dont have a bike at the moment but plan to get a RE interceptor 650 soon.Sort of a newbie when it comes to motorcycles....so am learning a lot from these videos.....keep making such amazing contents....
Cheers!!!!
Thank you for sharing, That is a great bike to start with and I'm glad you are enjoying the videos and hope they are helping you out :)
It looks great 👍🏼
I have the original H box om my CX and then 2 aftermarket open muflers. It’s a nice deep sound not to loud and defenitley not like a vacuum cleaner as the original exhaust sounds like 😜
Amazing, Dan! 🏍👍🏍
Gary A Thanks Gary 😃
Cheers.
I forgot to mention, check out this video from Little Aussie Rockets regarding pulse tig function. ruclips.net/video/qZQ3PzI0-dw/видео.html
Very cool looking exhaust, great job
Thank you mate :)
I subscribed because I have 2 nighthawk 750s. Virago 920. Couple Harley’s.
I’m working on the nighthawks now.
Louder is better!
Nice choice in bikes brother :)
Samuel Gallant You have very good taste in bikes
@@CafeRacerGarage I'm re-watching some of your videos to get inspiration for my seat building. Thanks!
Loud pipes save lives, and you were very close to a 4-2-1.
It also sounds a lot better in stereo!
Curious how many amps are you running? Esab is out of my reach and I've only Tig welded heavy wall pipe but have considered a scratch start DC 110v machine that peaks at 90 amps..
Love your videos. Have learned alot.
great video mate, thanks for sharing
Cheers, Wayne.
awesome job mate!!!
Great job mate! Your videos are awesome. I was looking at a 1989 Yamaha XJ6 for only $700 and restoring it but I just can't do it. Not enough money, time or the right tools and space yet... But It would be awesome to see you do it!
Thank you mate that sounds like a fun build :)
Very nice work! Cheers, Doug (Vancouver Island)
MegaCountach Thank you so much mate, I’m glad you enjoyed it
Hi, was wondering, maybe you have any parts for CM400, CB400’s?
Hey mate, im on an island in the Philippines , no speed limit. & no build rules, yay fa me. Between bikes atm, lookn at heaps for side Car projects & other bikes as well, triumphs , ktm’s like that, onya
I want to build a cafe racer but can't afford it at the moment.....but definitely in future....I will be needing your pointers coz I have no idea about welding anything.
Legend has it he's still avoiding pie cuts.
how much does this costs for one time to niult. i got a new cb650r now and i really like it to built it to a cb650 cafe racer. but am from vietnam so it too far from you.
Thank you mate and best of luck with yours
Looks so great.👌👍
That sounds meeeaan!!! I ride an 82’ CB650. 4 into 1 stainless exhaust on mine and it sounds like a toy sometimes WEEEEEEEE
Great Video's. Thanks a lot. Love Honda
hi i have a niche Chinese bike 250cc can i get an akrapovic although there is non for my model,
if so how do i determine the suitable exhaust and what can be the limitations
hi, I dont like the sound on my motocycle
can I chanch for enother because I like big sound?
