The more things change the more they stay the same. Sometimes a pivot is necessary. It's doesn't have to be a major change but sometimes the plan does have to change to get to the destination.

One good thing about reefer is people gotta eat so it's year round freight.

Flatbed rates are garbage right now because of high interest rates. Reefer is seeing a small bounce. But make no mistake we are in a trucking rescession The only way to make good money out here is to run hard for cheap money on the back haul and try to avg $2.50/mile.

I went out and bought a F150 last year at the height of the freight market. I was clearing $3000/wk after expenses and fuel so $900/mo on a pickup payment wasn’t a big deal. When the market took a turn this year I sold it for what I owed on it. I have been daily driving my bobtail every weekend. If I need to run to get groceries, supplies for the truck, go out to a restaurant, anything. Like you said, it is all about sacrifice. I know where I want to be, and couldn’t justify the fancy pickup I drove for 10 days a month standing in the way of that. Great video as always Kev, can’t wait to see the videos to come!

How much are reefers at prime ?
    - I would assume the reefers at prime are a lot more expensive than the one u got ?
15k sounds like a great deal. What year is the reefer ? What sort of advice can you give me when buying a reefer ? I was also planning on heading up to Springfield. Was also thinking of hiring a thermo king mechanic for the day to inspect it for me.

Well apparently I am not sure what prime advertises and what they have. Prime was advertising them around 25K. They seem to be a little more on the open market.
Prime is selling 2016 reefers with around 13K hours.
      Mine is a 2013 with 20k hours.

I actually would. You know they are maintained and they didn’t go over 65 so less stress and they have APU’s.
