Excellent advice. One other point: Sometimes the course lectures may seem elementary and easily understood, but don't be deceived, the exams may require a significantly higher level of understanding and be surprisingly difficult. In other words,, don't be shocked if you understand the lectures, but get an exam at an unexpectedly difficult level.
Glad to hear! I am going to upload some upcoming videos for transfers! I am glad any advice I can give is helpful to as many people as possible. Feel free to ask any questions you might have.
Hey man, I've been watching your videos a lot recently and I thought I'd ask for your input on my situation. I've been accepted to UCSD as a Human Bio major, and waitlisted by UCI as a Bio major. I want to go to medical school after college, and I know there's a decent chance I could get rejected by UCI, but assuming that I'm accepted what do you think I should do? Should I base my decision off of distance to home even if I dorm, or financial aid? Thanks a lot.
Hmmmm that’s a tough one honestly. I know their are no tours going on right now but maybe drive by the campus or park remotely and tour it yourself. See what you like better. In terms of your decision I’d say choose what you want more like if you want to stay close to home or leave home that’s a decision you’d have to work on. Since both are UC schools the curriculum is almost the same so they’re both great choices in that regard. I think just try to think about what you value more in the cities of Irvine and San Diego as well. And financial aid was a big impact on my own decision so that is definitely something to consider. I would say in all honesty if you get into both just choose which one you feel you can gel with the most. It is not an easy decision believe me and I’m sorry I took so long to respond I didn’t see your message. At the end of the day wherever you go make the best of it and you’ll be a great candidate if you want to go to med school! Good luck and let me know if you have anymore questions!!
Daniel McGuire Alright man I really appreciate the feedback, thanks! I have to keep putting thought into this decision but first I’ll worry about if I even get accepted into UCI!

Super helpful advice. I’m gonna be a freshman at UCI in the fall- subscribed!
Thank you! And congratulations!
My daughter is considering transferring there. This should be helpful for her.
