i realize it's very difficult to find a percussion rythm that feels natural to a slow song like this; and for the most part you've done song a great service to find a pattern that fits into "slow, yet powerful", though there are a couple of things on the execution/engineering i'd like to point out (sorry if my phrasing below makes me sound harsher than i really intend to):
    * in some areas the percussion rythm is too repetetive, and contrasts itself to the emotional build-up which is present in other areas of execution, so the percussion feels "asleep" in these parts, where it should feel a little more alive. this is most notable in the part beginning with leading up to the first bridge. i'm not a drummer, so i'm probably not the person to ask for _what_ should be done about this, but as a result, in this version, the drums do not "seem to really be into this song" as much as the other instruments; and this kind of breaks the fourth wall of the performance.
    * the other thing i noticed also directly affects the listener's perception of the song to be powerful, and alive: there's something weird with the equalizer. allow me to explain:
in the beginning of the song we hear a piano playing, with its full audio dynamic audible for listening pleasure. when the piano's part is finished, well, perceptively, it's as if the master equalizer of the track shifts from playing a full audio range, and rather narrows in to a weak bass and a sharp descant/treble range. so the sound ends up feeling flat and unnatural, in this sense.
this effect sounds like it's "phasing" in, in the part i mentioned, and continues throughout the song - which strikes me as curious, considering the sound of the piano is quite "full" in comparison. percussion, vocals, electric guitar; all of these do not really sound like they should, and especially the guitar riffs are then prone to sounding mashed up; in thin, flattened noise.
even the kick drum sounds flat (though the bass aspect of it is not _completely_ gone) - and i was listening through a kind of bass-heavy headset, which is why i felt that this should be specifically commented.
depending on your audio editing setup, these should be fairly easy things to fix.
i want to add and underscore that i sincerely liked the rest of your composition/production, and i'd really like to hear a version with these things addressed in some way :)

This was a damned good critique, and I just wanted to let you know that everything you said has been noted and archived in my brain for the next mix! =)
Thanks for taking the time out to give me such an in-depth analysis.

I'm not much into the vocals, but I especially enjoyed the percussion and solo.

Thanks! I tried something different with the drums to get a more realistic sound. =)
The vocals are ripped from a MUCH softer orchestral/percussion piece, so they do sound a tiny bit out of place in some spots. I recommend you check out the original song of the same name. It's also on youtube. =D
