  • Our farm pond has a major issue and without some serious equipment and a creative repair we may lose millions of gallons of water and thousands of dollars worth of fish. This repair is risky, but there is no choice but to make this fix. It will take some money, 7 loads of rock and a 20,000 lb excavator to dig the new spillway. Let's hope this works.

You have a for ever plan in place makes sense. I try to do things myself when I can but there are many things over my pay grade. Safety first. 😂

Thank you Bob, appreciate the support. And yes, Michael is the right guy for the job. His excavator skills were impressive. I'll keep showing updates until I get the fishing rod back out!

Hi Joe. That is very smart to hire a professional to take care of the major project. Even if a person is relatively skilled at operating an excavator, it could end up costing a lot more by renting than hiring. Time wise, a very experienced operator can just work and keep on working at a speed way faster than someone that has to figure it out on the way through. Sounds like you have a great plan going on there to save the pond Joe. A permanent fix now, will save time and money for years to come. Thanks for sharing your video my friend.

I agree; so much expertise was needed here and I didn’t want to risk messing it up worse than it was! Excited to have it fixed and be able to go out and fish without worries. Thanks for watching my friend!

Holly a new ventac dealer just opened near us in South Carolina. I was afraid after Toro bought ventrac that they would end the brand.

watch lets dig 18. chris just did a pond were he had to remove a pipe like that, In your case i think diging down just pst the core and sealing the pipe off would work. or fallow how he did it to stop the water and remove the pipe.

Yes, he is one talented guy. I feel good about out plan and know that we won’t lose the dam or the fish. Will need to be dredged one day, but that day is not today! Thanks for watching my friend.
