i know i'm commenting on an old stream like a weirdo but i just thought i'd comment that the variable change thing is actually true. i didn't believe it either because it sounded ridiculous so i actually programmed a thing in C++ that simulated the exact situation, and it turned out that switching doors really did increase the chances. i did it with 3 doors instead of 4, but switching doors had a 66% chance of success instead of 50%, and this result stayed consistent even after thousands of iterations. i dont have the program anymore because i did it years ago but yeah it's a real thing. there's also a whole wikipedia page on it talking about how it's real and explaining how it works. it's weird shit man. the easiest way to think about it is that when you're eliminating the extra doors and offering a switch, you're basically saying "do you think your original guess was correct?", and you have a higher chance of your original guess being wrong than you do of it being right, since it's a 1 in 3 or a 1 in 4 chance.
each door doesnt still have a 1 in 2 chance because the prize doesnt move the prize stays in the same place the whole time. So if there is 100 doors, a prize behind one of them and you guess door #1 that a 1/100 chance. Lets say you remove 98 doors, leaving Door #1 and Door #56 for example. Since the prize doesnt change place, would you be confident you got the right door on your first guess with 1/100 chance or switch it where the odds are better with 100 doors switching is a 99/100 chance because its the same as choosing 99 doors and opening 98 wrong doors it would be a 1/2 chance for the first door if you didnt have any information about the system before hand, but you know you guessed that door with a 1/100 chance
I find interesting there's an impromptu rock song immediately preceded by the theme, which sounds oh-so distinctly like Marilyn Manson's "Rock Is Dead". Also, obligatory, "Dat Changeling stole mah baby, _and_ my bike!"
