Ikr, a tiktoker had a collection of 6 fragrances and proceeds to say he has a pretty big collection as a way to tell people he "knows" about his stuff. Cringe.

I was re-exploring frags starting in 2015. Jeremy, of all people, was the first I came across. Him in that hallway, with a *much* smaller subscriber base. Hadn't watched him in years as I've delegated frags to part-time pursuit...checked in on him last week...and I really miss those early days in the hall. Best I can tell, he's sprayed himself so much, the aromachemicals are altering his brain.

The point of these TikTok "reviewers" is not to review. It's to get millions of likes and parlay that into ad clicks and easy dollars. No one who really appreciates fragrances is turning to TikTok. Thirteen-year-old boys who want to smell like men are the ones watching these.

It’s not cool for fragrance OG’s such as yourself lol, but using someone else’s money or product to support for your personal profit is the new business model. It’s kinda smart using the store’s fragrances to get 4.7 million views and make money on Tik Tok. 🤷🏾♂️
That's kinda the thing.. It's not genius. It's taking a known formula, and making cookie cutter channels / videos from it. 'Smart' now just means whatever gets you the most clicks, even if what you are putting out there isn't that genuine.

I mean, I can understand why they go to a shop to show the bottles. I've tried ~50 fragrances, but all of them through decants. I was able to test them on multiple days so I feel like I have a legit opinion on how they smell, wihtout spending thousands of dollars.
It's a new kind of content, cheap to produce. Just need a phone, try fragrances through decants and then show in shops.
Don't use logic, but yes I go to sample them and they always give me free samples and allow me to record we are super chill

Just ordered Mont blanc Legend Spirit, Armaf Club de nuit, DG Light blue Eau intense partly from knowledge I found online and through some of these creators did i make some wrong choices? My main goal this order was a nice summer cologne and really hoping I hit on this one!

They collabed with turkish starts of the hit international Turkish series called "Ertugul". Its an oriental fragrance which has a 10 or 30ml atomiser in the handle and the rest of the same fragrance in the axe bottle.

According to tik tok I can go to my local Sephora, grab a best seller fragrance and say if that one is going to give you compliments or its an ''npc'' fragrance. Most of the times I wont even need to smell it but if I want to tell something all i have to do is to open fragrantica page and say 1 or 2 thinks about it. Im not en expert on fragrances but I find so funny watching all of these tik tok fragrance reviewers and the worst part is no matter what they will promote as a fragrance someone is going and get it as a blind buy

You can pull off any fragrance you want mate. If you like it, wear it. With Elixir though, don't do too many sprays, it's potent stuff. 2 sprays is fine. Also, I wouldn't wear it in high heat, or any kind of heat at all 😂 Don't worry about your age though, that doesn't come into it if you enjoy the scent 👍
