My current cat is 11 years old and was originally found as a young adult on the streets of Atlantic City. He has been an inside cat for most of his life with me and has adjusted well.
Totally disagree with the life expenantcy. Keeping them a prisoner is sooo wrong. I've had cats all my life and they've been allowed to come and go as they wished. They've also lived to a good age. My current cat is 14 and still enjoying her free, happy life.
